  1. Agreed. Or, let their UAW members know that if they strike, they don't have to bother about coming back.
  2. That's actually pretty good, I think. Except I agree with all of you about the steering wheel. I dunno about making the center stack piano black though... it smudges easily and looks bad rather quickly. A darker metsllic, though, may be a decent idea.
  3. I still see the Avalon center stack... about a 90% clone. Nice logo though.
  4. You guys are never gonna let Reg live it down, are you?
  5. I've never been able to start a car in gear, accidentally or on purpose. For the record, to all, I'm not bashing Audi with my comments. It's just that I was reminded of that incident by this news about Toyota.
  6. A sucky starter/ignition? At the time, my dad told me that Audis were known to have such problems, especially old ones.
  7. I actually remember it happening about 12 years ago. This lady was under the car trying to start it with a screwdriver, and when she did, the car rolled over her and dragged her about 15 feet. It took a team of guys, my father included, to lift the car off of her.
  8. First the Lexus Camry, now this? Toyota is the new old Audi.
  9. I saw three GCs yesterday at the local Dodge dealer. Unfortunately I couldn't get in, so I couldn't get as detailed with my interior impressions as you have. I tend to like the front fascia. The rear does leave much to be desired though. From what I could see inside, I still hate the center stack, and the rear passenger seats' backrests look too low to be comfortable. Nice pics though. I'm almost ashamed to say that the A/V inputs made me happy.
  10. The CTS has set the precedent for all new Caddy interiors. New cars should have to come close. This interior is nice, but not for a Cadillac.
  11. I went to the dealer earlier today just to look at the new Accord as well. I did notice the disproportionate amount of space in the engine compartment as well. I didn't get to see a V6 to compare the space though. The best thing about the car is the interior space, but everything else screams of blandness. Japan finally has its Crown Victoria...
  12. Bah, you beat me to it. I just posted this in the Ford forum...
  13. Let's see... the gauges are ok, but I doubt they'll make production, at least in a Buick. I like the shifter. The steering wheel is decent... like someone said, it will be interesting to see how the integrate an airbag. The console is where I'm sold. FINALLY, a Buick center stack that looks closer to Cadillac than Chevrolet.
  14. Saw one tonight at Frankel in Owings Mills, MD. It was right next to a base CTS. The 4 was white diamond/camel, while the base was black/black. I thought it was a nice contrast. Also on the lot was a brand new STS V8 already sold. Since the CTS won't ever have a V8 paired with an automatic, I guess that's the only reason one would get the STS now, as the CTS is far superior. But yeah, this car definitely goes up against the 5-Series and E-Class now.
  15. I agree, although many on this board would say "who needs nav when you have OnStar?"
  16. Where is this brochure of which you speak?
  17. ... but you KNOW someone's gonna pay it.
  18. At first glance, that looks just like the ES350.
  19. Sounds like a good vehicle. I may have to test-drive one of the Lambdas one day.
  20. Link is here.
  21. ... except for the G6, which is crappy in base 4cyl configuration...
  22. Link is here.
  23. LOL! Seriously though, is Toyota planning on killing the 4Runner or reducing its numbers, since the Highlander now matches it in just about every category?
  24. Lamar

    Caliber SRT4

    No it wouldn't, trust me.
  25. So I have a question to pose... I've read the well-documented shortcomings (to say the least) of Consumer Reports' auto magazines. Is ConsumerGuide any better?
