  1. HALLELLUYAH! Praise the Automotive Gods...!!! This will also mean that, more likely than not, what we see is what we get! I can't wait for the next couple car show seasons :D
  2. I remember when "Pimp my Ride" was busted for replacing OE steering wheels with airbags, with aftermarket steering wheels and no air bags. So... either Overlhaulin' is sticking the mirrors on afterwards, or they are gonna be in trouble.
  3. Well FOG, it is the Wall Street Journal... You can't complain (too much) about that.
  4. What exactly does that mean to us non-financial stuff nerds? Does that mean that Tracinda is showing a lot of confidence in GM stock, to use them as collateral? Are they doing this to try and strenghten the stock? Am I totally wrong?
  5. To think I still haven't seen one on the WEST COAST!!! Unbelievable... But at least I got to see it at last years LAIAS
  6. I love it! I see it as the combination of a Corvette and an evolution of the Camaro.

    Next GMT-360s

Is this an interior refresh we can expect for the current TB, or will the current TB be totally redone for '07, '08?
  8. Sweet!
  9. While we're bugging Josh... Josh: Do you remember a spy shot of the rear end of a black XLR with two plain exhaust pipes out the back (they weren't the regular XLR tips, nor were they in the same place). I remember you saying there was some story linked to it, but you couldn't say what (at that time). Care to share that story... if you even remember what i'm talking about.

    Jeep Commander

I saw one on campus... It looks a lot smaller then what I expected. Is it closer in size to the Tahoe, or Suburban?

    YESSSSSSSSSSSS

I think that is the one thing I really missed out on. Cal Poly didn't even have a football team <_< And, Cal Poly was more of a commuter school, so campus usually dead after hours.
  12. I was going to say that that is Mexico's version of the Suburban, except the front bumpers don't match. So, now it looks like a chop.

Cal Poly Pomona... and I am glad I did. It was waaaayyy cheaper then any UC, and of course USC. And, the education and training I received doesn't even compare to those other schools (at least in Engineering). Well... at least I can compare my undergrad experience to that of the UC undergrad since I get to be their TA, and mine wins! My biggest class size for a major course was 25 students. I knew all my profs, and they all knew me. We did hands on, real world work. etc.

hehe... I don't like them because 1) they didn't give me $$ to go there, which turned out to be a good thing because 2) I think their Engineering program produces garbage. But... I totally forgot about the stereotypes
  15. There was also a recall about a month ago, in which Merc transmissions used in the Liberty(?) or was it in the GC(?)... anyway, that trans. was having a problem with water contaminating the fluid. I liked to think as that issue being that the Jeeps were "Trail Rated" while their Merc. desinged trannies were not.
  16. The recall on the Ram just sounds like people being lazy and not putting the truck in park. But... the recall on the Magnum and 300 sounds interesting. I wonder exatly what gearing they are fixing, and why. Could it mean mechanical failure of gears, or just a swap to different ratios (but then why a recall)?
  17. What's this doing in the Daimler Chrysler forum? And, what's this got to do with the Equinox and Equator? That nissan looks more like a mini-mini-wagon

I don't usually care for USC (sorry Croc), but I love to watch their football team win. Unfortunately, I didn't get to watch the end of the game, but did get to read it happen in all its glory... on yahoo's gamechannel. <_<

    GUESS THE PECKER

The only USC I know of has a Trojan as the mascot. Which USC are you talking about?
  20. Why would you ever let somebody borrow a car like that. Only 4 people have ever driven my car. The salesperson I ordered it from, my father, one of my friends and me. But the car stays with me.
  21. You are right, the back seats in the 4th gen were pretty much for emergency use only. But, with or without those seats folded, the rear area still had plenty of cargo room. Don't forget about the covered area in the rear of the trunk. That alone takes care of the usual storage needs, unless the T-tops are off...
  22. While we're on the subject... Is it true that (GM) factory installed Bilsteins come with a lifetime guarantee from Bilstein?
  23. Excellent idea... I would actually dig a very basic, utilitarian interior. Just the necessary gauges, minimal controls for radio and HVAC. Maybe use an aluminum chassis for the dash with a nice synthetic cover on the upper part (just to cut the glare)? I don't mind a dash that is hard to the touch, unless it's shiny plastic. But when it comes to ABS... that's one option that I would not delete. Rear window defrost? deleted it on the SS. Side curtain airbags? I'll pass. Traction control? No thanks. But ABS is a totally different story. What else would I like? A short throw shifter that feels like one (not just shorter throws, but ditch the rubber isolation between the stick and base). Resolve the issue with the stick shaking while I drive. Have an option for something similar to the ZL1 suspension package. True dual exhaust.
  24. If it is real granite, then it will probably be laminated (or some other kind of treatment) to keep it from breaking. And, I don't think they will use so much that it will add a significant amount of weight.
