  2. Thanks! :)
  3. Good point, except that those sunglasses do not transition uniformly. If a shadow falls over the lens, only the portions outside the shadow would darken. No big deal on a sunglass lens, but probably not acceptable on a vehicle's window. Or you could think of a situation where only the windows on one side of the car would darken. A second drawback to the transition lenses is (at least when I used them about 10 years ago) that there is a limited range of transition. So... if you want really dark tint when the sun hits, you have to start from something that is farely dark. Basically, car windows need something that can be controlled, not something dependent on the sun.
  4. My sister was driving an Impala when she was in HS... so I don't think 34 is too young. I would drive an SS, except I don't really need all that car, and would rather save the $$$ for another Camaro.
  5. Correct me if i'm wrong, but do all the Cobalt models have a solid rear axle? I'm pretty sure the sedan does, but does the coupe? the SS?
  6. I am a GM enthusiast. I support the General through thick and thin. This thread is an insult to all the GM enthusiasts on this site, and in my opinion it shouldn't even be a topic of discussion. I would never think twice about purchasing anything but a GM product... like say... a Ford?
  7. Maybe not too much media coverage, but I'm sure the Cobalt get's a lot of attention when it's spanking BMW's and RSX's on the track, and who can complain about that. (I forget which series it races in)
  8. Finally... the truth comes out (in print)! Overall good review. :)
  9. I second that.
  10. me I'm in... I figured we'de start a seperate LAIAS thread in a few months, in case people don't catch it here.
  11. Glad it's all working out with the G6, lookin forward to seeing some pics.
  12. Doesn't MT post that info for their long-term tests?
  13. I love the new ridgeline commercial, where the bear jumps out in the road and the guy tosses him a fish to get rid of it. It just so happens that all the crap in the bed is conveniently placed away from the "trunk," so as not to show what a pain it would be to have to move (remove) everything in the bed to access the trunk.

All that hard work and attention to detail, and they couldn't even change that dorky foot long shifter?
  19. It's probably because the seats no longer have their own arm rest, so the center counsel (is that spelled correctly? I doubt it.) has to make up for it by being wider.
  20. I thought I remembered seeing turn signals (like in the mirrors of the M class), besides the LED's behind the mirror.
  21. Are the integrated turn signals hidden somewhere below the chrome, or is it optional? I really like those LED tail-lamps, they are gonna look sweet at night!
  22. How am I being too critical? I pointed out why it is advantageous to have exposed screws on the foglights. Then, it caught my attention that the foglight isn't entirely a foglight, and I am curious to see what happens when there are none.

I'll be doing nerd-work at Cal Tech (nonlinear control workshop)
  24. Oh well... I guess they all share the same wheel well design <_<
  25. I thought the same the first time I looked at the wreath and crest, but on closer inspection... it's only a reflection (of the chrome surround of the wreath and crest onto that of the grill). (why are my posts rhiming?)
