  1. I also caught a couple people making negative comments. But I knew I had to contain myself, or risk being kicked out of the show. I did catch one thing that made up for all the negative things I heard. I won't be able to post the pic till I get to LA, but here's what happened. I saw this guy wearing a letterman jacket full of mustang crap (looked like a huge mustang fan) walk up to the Camaro concept, almost drooling, and start taking pictures with his phone. That made my day, besides the actual Camaro.
  2. After seeing the Nissan chicks myself, and observing other women at NAIAS, I can only come to one conclusion: Souther California has f-ed up my perception of really hot chicks! If you ask me, none of the women I saw at NAIAS, including the Nissan chicks, even made it on my kinda hot list. Definitely lots of cute girls, but no really hot ones.
  3. As a first impression, NOS alone has some "badass," and you can tack on a little more thanks to the Camaro. But... he did have a mini-posse at NAIAS, so that should count too!
  4. I met NOS (no duh), and I was hoping on running into Josh and knightfan at the show. But I hear knightfan never made it to Detroit, and as for Josh.... ???
  5. Happy Birthday Croc!
  6. The announcer talking about the Camaro concept at NAIAS kept stressing how we should go to the Chevy site and make some noise about the car, so let's do that too
  7. Guys... I just got back from NAIAS, and the Camaro was AWESOME. The car is displayed on a slightly raised turntable, and it was packed all day long! Lots of people checking it out and asking questions. In total I took about 40 pictures of it, I'll post a few next week (left the card reader in LA). Here are a few comments I heard while checking it out: "I've never been a Camaro fan, but now's a good time to start" (guy in his late 20's) "It's the Chevrolet mustang" (guy in his mid-20's) - I still don't see how it resembles the mustang at all, which BTW NOBODY was looking at! lots of comments about it kicking ass, I just don't remember them
  8. Not me... I like any 1st gen, the '70, '71, '87-'90, '96, '97 SS LT4, 4th and 5th gen.
  9. Considering my flight is scheduled to land around 9:20 am, and the show opens at 9? Don't think I'll be making it on time, but I will catch up with you guys at the Camaro. I figure you'll spend a few hours there. I plan on using up most of my pictures on the concept! Josh: What time do you get off work? I'm sure we'll be at the show pretty late, and there's always a bar for later on!
  10. I think I'll be joining NOS on that mad dash
  11. SCORE!!! Sounds like one of my first attempts...
  12. The Vette has 4-wheel independent suspension, and uses transverse mounted, fiberglass leaf springs, instead of a coil spring at each corner.
  13. I'm waaayyy too busy with nerd work to make it up to LA on Friday. I really wish I could, but I know the rest of you will enjoy the meet without me. So... enjoy the show!
  14. Thanks! Except that I left the pics on my comp in LA, and I won't be 'till the 21st. I think I finally figured out how to edit them, so now it's just a matter of getting back home.
  15. I think GMT 900's have the belt moved back to the B-pillar.
  16. I've noticed it being slow, but no error pages. Is anyone else having problems using the "BB codes," or whatever it is we use to use bold fonts, lits etc.
  17. The following Camaros have been in my family's possesion at one time or another 1984 Z28 1987 IROC 1996 Z28 1998 Z28 2000 SS I love the SS and I plan on keeping it as long as I can, but it's time a new Camaro comes along to let the SS rest. My mustang driving girlfriend wants one. My brother wants one. I want one! Pleas GM, give us a new Camaro.
  18. Awesome! Can't wait to see in on the 14th!!!
  19. If I remember correctly, I saw a banner announcing the next LAIAS from Dec. 1-10.
  20. Safari
  21. I think most of the major exterior styling would/could carry over to a production version. The one styling cue that seems to usually get ditched (probably cheaper to ditch) is the arched rear fender, and that is the one they have to keep! The current mustang doesn't have it, and it really makes the beltline look boring. Heck, my car is the same. You could draw the beltline with a straight edge!
  22. Very nice! So, is this still a pure concept or more of a near-production concept like the Aura was last year? ... [goes back and reads the thread]... Answered my own question:
  23. hehe... will you mind minor leaks, an O2 washer that squeals at around 2000 rpm, clunking when the 3" pipe nails the crossmember over the rear axle. It sounds awesome (you might have heard/seen it yourself. I drive by your dealership once in a while :AH-HA_wink:), but sometimes it makes me wish I had left the exhaust system stock.
  24. Wait till you see it in person, it's a totally different experience.
  25. I have some nice pics from the LAIAS, but they are too large to post and I haven't figured out how to resize them with my Apple. Anybody willing to crop, resize and post them?
