  1. At first I didn't give this much thought, but when I did consider my situation... over 25 fully licensed wife wants a nice digital camera (digital SLR type) current location provides various terrains (desert, mountains, flat highways, etc. mostly at high altitude) and weather conditions (dry heat, cold, rain, snow, wind) I want to take roadtrips anyway have been published in a technical journal
  2. 2010 Red Jewel Tintcoat SS. Looked really good in that color.
  3. OJ, with the occasional glass of milk
  4. Excellent... now I just need the TDIs to start showing up on the lots.
  5. Soccer is my favorite sport, and the only one I play, but I don't follow any team in particular. I do follow the Lakers, Dodgers, and Chargers.
  6. Starting to see Camaros more often... Also spotting lots of Jeep Wranglers, probably because they've been on my mind since a rental I had and now I want one.
  7. Two new Camaros (silver & yellow), which happened to be my first and second SS spottings.
  8. Here's what I did do, a.k.a. when bumper met tree branch...
  9. Nope. It's a rental, so that wrinkle came before me. I did put a nice dimple in the bumper of the Jeep I had before this one (traded for the one in the pic when the shift lever for the 4x4 took a crap) when I had to move off a trail to let a Jeep GC going the opposite direction pass by, and the bumper nudged a tree stump. (maybe I'll post a pic of that one too)
  10. Wouldn't normally be much of a spotting/sighting, except that I put it there
  11. I used to think the same every time I drove by those things.
  12. On my way home tonight I saw this. A bit much for a Saturn Aura, if you ask me.
  13. Thanks! I finally saw a Camaro. A plain-jane 1LT in silver, but it was still cool to see!
  14. Nah... he was stopped in a left-turn lane in the opposite direction. Besides that, I was in my brother's GTI (not like my car would have kept up for long either).
  15. Finally, a new CTS-V on the road. Besides a new Camaro in the showroom, still no Camaro sighting...
  16. The Jetta TDI has been available for months, and as for the Golf... soon enough
  17. 2000 Camaro SS (Others that would come close were an '87 IROC, and '96 and '98 Z28's)
  18. I've noticed, over the past few days, that it often takes a while to load after you enter the address. So, for about 5-10 seconds it looks like the site is down and nothing happens, but then all of the sudden things load.
  19. My opinion is the opposite. I don't like the kink in the belt line, or the front end design which looks sort of droopy and generally not appealing. I do like the rear. For perspective I always liked the styling on the Tiburon (especially the last generation), and I would have loved to have seen that go RWD.
  20. Yes! I am...
  21. While we're sort of on the subject of the Camaro interior... I finally got up close and personal with one. The dash isn't mushy, but it is textured and "ruberized" so it feels soft to the touch. Nothing like the early 90's 4th gen. Camaro some of you were making it out to be. While the interior in my Camaro has mushy dash plastics, I much rather have the interior of the new one that has more personality. Just for $h!s-and-giggles I touched some dials/buttons in the radio/HVAC area, and they were solid feeling (and some were also "rubberized.") The door arm rests on the door panels are well padded, and the panel itself has enough going on that it isn't a huge slab of plastic. The seats looked nice and supportive. I didn't get to sit in it, but visibility could be an issue.
  22. Well, now I'm stuck between a new Camaro or a Golf TDI (obvious choice vs. being practical).
  23. Drove by our local Chevrolet dealership, and they had a yellow Camaro! Standing next to it, it doesn't seem as big as I expected. Outward visibility does seem "compromised," but I could get used to it. Interior looks good, plastics aren't mushy but they are soft/rubber feeling. Stereo and controls look/feel good. Door panels look good, arm rests are cushioned. I don't see what all the complaining about the interior is, really. Trunk opening is small, but trunk is large.
  24. I keep seeing newer Solaras in my rear view mirror, and mistaking them for Genesis coupes.
