  1. Rear deck mounted cameras? Sweet... unless you are the one they are aimed at. I think at least one reason for requiring them in CA is for areas that employ the red-light cameras at intersections. So, a sticker on the windshield could satisfy that.
  2. Do Something about it? (link) I've been having recent fantacies of driving my new Camaro, but dread the idea of the possibility that I might have to install a front license plate on it. So... I came up with an idea of replacing the front plate with a decal that could go on the windshield, and thought I'd research CA law for $h!s-n-giggles to see exactly why a front plate is required and if such a decal idea would work. Well... I didn't find that information, because I ran into the above link (petition) instead. Who knows if the petition is worth it, or if it's even legit, but I wouldn't mind getting rid of the stupid law!
  3. I'm liking it... It looks like the front end has another dimension to it, as compared to the Holden. It's more of a "beak" and not just a flat/blunt nose.

    Camaro V8

Assuming this is the case... It makes it a tough choice between going for the V8, because it's just gotta have one to be a musclecar. Or going for the V6 with DI, which should have enough power to get the job done.
  5. LSD and "traction control" have nothing to do with each other. A limited-slip-differential does provide more torque to the tire with more traction (right?), and it also allows for the inside wheel/tire to rotate slower during turns. If I understand it correctly, LSD is the modern day analog to "Posi-Traction."
  6. I think a brisk pace is fine, but the window size needs to be increased (taller).
  7. I think the rain definitely helped too... Why?
  8. YES! I forgot to mention that in my earlier post...
  9. I'm glad to see the Colts, especially Peyton Manning, finally win one. If it wasn't going to be the Chargers, then it had to be them.
  10. I've been watching them all, and they are great!
  11. I don't like the new (front end) look of Dodge. It really reminds me of their 80's-90's sedans.
  12. Update it again... damnit! I didn't know we would get to see the H4... cool!
  13. The Z06 looks really good in white... I wonder why they're only offering it with the "Ron Fellows" trim package?
  14. Exactly! This is what I've been trying to make my dad see every time we discuss what to replace my mom's 2002 Tahoe with, but he's just stuck on the new Tahoe. It's a win-win situation in the end, but the Lambdas have the advantage.
  15. I'de definitely go to the theater to see that one! Maybe even trade Halle Berry with... um... that brunette that's in "Christmas with the Krank's" (I think). OK, it was definitely not that movie... i'm thinking of the movie where Sarah Jessica Parker visit's her bf's family for Christmas, and everything goes wrong. Got it... "The Family Stone," and Rachel McAdams!
  16. I prefer the old Wrangler wanna-be look, to this new Commander wanna-be one. I think the box look is pulled off better with larger vehicles (H1, Commander).
  17. I totally forgot about this! I could have been visitor 50,001!
  18. "Tahoe / Yukon Denali / Suburban / Yukon XL Denali - Janesville - July 23rd, 2007" Is it safe to assume this includes hybrid versions as well? The reason I ask is... it seems like my dad has something against getting a Saturn (Outlook), and my mom doesn't like the Acadia, and doesn't want to wait for the Enclave. So... we might be getting another Tahoe, and I thought it would be cool to get a hybrid...
  19. I'm starting to see GM's new SUV's in quantities equal to those of the old ones (basically... lots of them), and I'm seeing more of the new pick-ups too!
  20. Oooooo! I think our cable provider started offering this, but apparently we are out of their service area for that feature.
  21. What's FiOS?
  22. It's Acadia (not Arcadia)... Aside from the width of the new crossovers and a shallow/low 2nd row, the Acadia feels more spacious than a Yukon with a third row.
  23. Overlay some metric of average wealth, or maybe % of people able to afford a car, or something like that for each piece of the pie, and it would be interesting to see if the graphic still "says it all."
  24. I thougt the same... untill I read this:
