  1. A couple days ago I saw "8 A Z06," but at least it was on a new Viper... don't know what to think about your sighting...
  2. Nah... it wouldn't be that bad, especially since it would make my family one of the coolest in LA!
  3. You just compared a V12 to a V8?!? I wonder if 4 extra cylinders have anything to do with increased low-end torque?
  4. Totally agree... I was just trying to bring up the point that we don't even know if the 'vert will have back windows (that roll down), so its sort of a waste to even make the argument that the "pilarless hardtop" can be done because the convertible will be "pilarless."
  5. Just throwing this out there... We are all ASSUMING that the convertible will have "no B-pillar and back windows that roll down," but have we even seen the concept convertible with the top up? What if the production version ends up like the last generation convertible (just the window in the door)? That kind of kills the argument of "if they are designing the convertible without a B-pillar then why not just make the hard top off that platform."
  6. True, but what happens with the TRD is insane! And, like somebody on youtube commented, depending on the resonant frequency of the bed hop phenomenon, each truck will exhibit some crappy effects depending on the speed through the test course.
  7. Check this video out... It came up after the video that mustang posted... The TRD is shown in the middle third of the video.
  8. He's saying that unless your ancestors consumed lots of dairy, and therefore gained the ability to process it, you (like lots of adults) cannot digest lactose.
  9. All the times I've rented have been on work/research trips to NM... The first time out, Summer of '05, I got 2 Chevy classics (didn't know I'd have the cost covered for the entire trip, and I returned the first one early). The second time out, Summer of '06, I got a Mustang V6 (had a flat) that got traded for a Montego. The third time out, Spring of '07, I got a Cobalt sedan (stunk like cigarettes and steering wheel made my hands itch) that got traded for a Cobalt coupe.
  10. hehe... I finally have a use for this: "Fox News in High Defamation" (I enjoy making up stupid plays on words)
  11. AAS

    Dead Dime.

OUCH. Sorry to hear this. Did you get some wheel-hop during the downshift form 3rd to 2nd? I wouldn't think those speeds would cause it... Otherwise, a common mistake (at least when learning to drive stick) is to not brake enough before or during downshifting, but I don't think you're a "rookie" with the stick.
  12. It's Camaro!
  13. Finally... a reason to send back all those shipping containers we're collecting
  14. I don't like having to drill into the front bumper, and agree that they ruin the look of the front end in lots of cases. I wouldn't mind if there was an option for a vinyl plate that you could apply (say with static cling, no adhesives) to the bumper or a corner of the windshield...
  15. Saw it, and loved it! Also saw a commercial for the Sierra Denali, and how "it's the most powerful half-ton" or something along those lines. Oh yeah... even saw a really good one for the Tahoe hybrid.
  16. The Enclave kicks its ass...
  17. Why not? It would still be made in America, by Americans...
  18. I often drive a '00 Chevy Venture, since it's in San Diego and the SS is in Los Angeles. So, yes I consider myself an "enthusiast" stuck driving a "non descript" vehicle. I can understand if people think I'm a loser, or married... there are lots of times where I wish I was in the SS, but oh well...
  19. Not a city name, but Los Feliz (literally translating to "the happy") gets pronounced "Low-ss FEE-lez" I can (born in Mexico City, but not Mexican by blood), and so can a bunch of other Angelinos...
  20. I like it! The Cayenne should have looked like this (profile, stance etc.).
  21. This comment made a few lights go off in my head, so I thought I'd share... Assuming Saab does get a version, the current Lambdas seem rather large for what them If #1 makes sense, then maybe there will be a SWB version That being the case... I could see the OUTLOOK going smaller, joined by the smaller Saab version Then Chevy could get a LWB Lambda that Saturn gave up Otherwise... I hope there aren't 5 of the same sized crossovers spread across GM
  22. Interesting, but overdone.
  23. I'm pretty sure that is already an option on certain vehicles (it was for our Enclave).
  24. I'd argue that most of the motion is in two directions: up-down and side-to-side. So, that should simplify the problem.
  25. I've done some research/work with vibration suppression systems... I wonder if they would apply here...
