  1. Chrysler plans two-week July shutdown
  2. Talking about conquest sales... A Prius driving prof. at my university commented a couple weeks ago that he had a dilema. Either he could convert his Prius to a plug-in and install solar panels on his house, or he could get a new Camaro!
  3. Aside from the exhaust tips and badging, I wouldn't have even noticed.
  4. I know who Clarkson is. I meant the younger, scruffy looking, chubbier, curly-haired guy.
  5. It was a small tube-chassis car with sheet-metal panels. Really plain, orange... The only reason I recognized it is because Top Gear had an episode where they sent that chubby, curly-haired guy to race in one (the cars are used in some amateur racing series).
  6. There was also an Ariel Atom, one of those British "race cars" that one of the Top Gear guys did a show on, and that other British car that you said was super rare (I think the name started with an "n").
  7. I think he's complaining about the placement, not the number.
  8. It's hard to tell from this pic, but the spoiler covers up the the concave look.
  9. I noticed the same... I think the problem is the angle, combined with there not being a rear spoiler on this car (right? all the other spy pics have either had camo or a spoiler).

Ehhhh... can I pass? The car show was sweet, and meeting and hanging out with OC and Croc (and their cars) was cool!

10:30 sounds good, that way we don't have to wait toooo long to grab a bite to eat
  12. Record yourself giving the lessons. Hope everything is going well...

OC knows the area better, so I'll leave it up to him to pick where we meet after the car show...

OK... so I'm 99% sure I'll be making it bright and early for the car show this Saturday. Are there any plans to meet later in the morning to meet/eat?
  15. Car & Driver says the production version won't have the center exhaust. I don't know what to believe, C&D or the spy shots...

I would also have to leave around 6-6:15. What if we make the official meet a brunch thing, and whoever wants can show up earlier to the car show.

So, now were down to 3?

Cool... it's not that I want to put my car in the show, rather I just want somewhere to park my car!

Just go party in Newport Beach or somewhere else around there on Friday night, and stay up 'till we meet on Saturday morning.
  20. So, is this like BAS but waaaay better? Or an improvement on dual-mode? If dual-mode is better then BAS, why not stick with that?

Agreed that it would be better to meet somewhere else first. What happens if the parking lot fills up? Are the lot we would park in and the lot the "show cars" park in the same? I'm going to have to wash the SS! She hasn't been out of the garage in a while, and especially not to meet people!
  22. Good call! I remember digging that finish when they started using it for the last generation (C5?) Z06.
  23. Tahoe Hybrid sitting outside the Chevy dealership we usually deal with.
  24. Yeah, why not sell as many these types of vehicles (under current CAFE regulations) while you can? As an aside (a thought on a possible loop-hole in regulations), does a vehicle count towards CAFE once it is manufactured, or once it is sold? What if vehicles were manufactured "new", but not sold until they were "used?" Would such a "used" vehicle count towards CAFE?
  25. Funny you mention this, I was just recently thinking the same. Everyone has either painted or polished (anyone doing clear-coated machined these days). Chrome is definitely "out."
