  1. Happy Anniversary! I have no idea when I joined (between 2-4 years ago?). What I think is 68 and I joined around the same time, so...
  2. Lots of Corvettes... I haven't seen them all, but there's a Vette show in town so I'll probably go there instead of doing some work
  3. The pictures show both the antenna on the right fender (same as concept) and I think one (looks like the base for those mini shark fin things) on the roof, so maybe they'll move it up there?
  4. AAS

    Gas prices?

$3.56 in New Mexico for for 86. It was in the $3.30's when I got here a month ago. I can only imagine that San Diego is in the low $4's.
  5. Our 1992 Bonneville had a plastic emergency key. That's always an option.
  6. Of course it does... the car without Sync knows better, and won't play it!
  7. Galco's Soda Pop Store This local (for us So Cal-ers, but they do ship) store carries all kinds of old sodas, and current sodas but made using sugar instead of high-fructose-corn-syrup (apparently the original Dr. Pepper tastes much better then what we get now). Saw a PBS special on them, and figured I'd spread the word.
  8. New LaCrosse in bright red.... looks AWESOME! The new front end with the chrome grill looks really good in that color!
  9. Nice! Tahoe is awesome. I prefer "North Shore" to "South Shore." San Diego is also nice, it's too bad I haven't seen more of it in the 5 years I've been there (grad school).
  10. Cool, where about?
  11. Nothing beats actually implementing and experimenting with control systems. What exactly are you controlling, the robot motion? How (what theory did you use) did you design the controller? I'm hoping for a mix of academic (non-research driven school) and industry.
  12. Mechanical Engineering, emphasis in control systems
  13. complete Ph.D. program
  14. A black Z06 driving around through a light snow. Never, ever thought i'd see that. Oh yeah, and lot's of AWD Vues and Outlooks.
  15. So Cal here. There are a bunch of us from the West...
  16. Beautiful drive, I've done it a couple times and might do it again in a few weeks. Can't remember the highway numbers, but I've done it a "short" way and "long" way. The short way took the main highway from central NM to CO and up to Denver. The long way took a smaller highway further west, and through lots of small towns in CO (we drove past a huge casino in the middle of the mountains).
  17. '69 Camaro SS
  18. I think a bit of suspicion is is understandable. And, as far as the "do I have to tell you everything I do?" part goes... It is YOUR car, so it is your right to know where it went.
  19. Whatever is playing here
  20. Hmm... at first I thought the SS bumper was taller, but maybe it's just that its ass isn't up in the air as compared to the non-SS.
  21. Yeah, that would have been cool. Is it just me, or did they change/re-shape the rear bumper?
  22. Not taking a camera this year, so I'll have to post some pics from my past trips out.
  23. Funny, I'll be leaving for a while too... I'll be somewhere in New Mexico for the next 5 weeks, hopefully I'll be able to sneak in some C&G now and then.
  24. Yuck! This is one Chinese Buick that I'm glad we don't get.
  25. Looks good! You planning on doing the same to the G6? I mean... it black headlight surrounds (?) on a black car looks pretty good.
