I looked up my house (shows just an overhead ariel shot) and my envoy is parked in the driveway. I've had it since March 2010, and this picture was taken in the summer (given by the green growth seen in spring & summer in NJ). I'm guessing it was taken this year.

Thanks Drew!! -
I think part of the allure of owning a full-size pickup - American and Foreign - is that they emulate Big Rigs! I know I for one would love to tool around in a Mack Granite, but it's just not very feasible. Now a full-size pickup in the shape of a big rig - now that's doable!!

Well, I think it's safe to say we'll see a toned down version of this face on the next Sierra: And I'm thinking we'll see an updated version of this face (2009 SEMA Silverado ZR2 concept) for the Silverado: Keep a watch on the SEMA Chevrolet offerings this year.. GM doesn't have the money to spend on vehicles that they are trying to hide right under our noses Remember, the days of the Terradynes and Cheyenne concept trucks are over... what's being shown is an indication of what we're going to get nowadays.

Mid-1980s GMC Sierra pickups
GMTruckGuy74 replied to GMTruckGuy74's topic in Auctions and Classifieds
So, about that conversation.... -
This is where the 4.5L Duramax diesel for the 1500's would come in handy, especially on the Suburban/Yukon XL models that could benefit from fuel efficiency to keep them fresh in the marketplace... of course those wanting a 2500 Suburban/Yukon XL with the 6.6L Duramax diesel will not be happy unless GM offers it too along with the smaller diesel.

I'll offer to pickup a Hess Toy Truck and Race Car for anyone here at C&G that wants one, at no extra cost beyond the price of the item ($26.99), NJ 7% sales tax ($1.89), and the actual cost of shipping (TBD, based on weight & zip code). Let me know if you're interested

I used to get them for my birthday or Christmas every year as a child, and they were well-played with toys! I lost interest for a brief period in the mid-'80s but started up my collection again in '89 (kept new in box, batteries used elsewhere). Started buying one for my step-son in '96 in addition to the one for my collection, and continued that trend with my son starting in 2005 (step-son last asked for one in '03 or '04). Looking forward to adding this year's to the collection, and playing with my son's on Christmas day

Cheers or Jeers: 1965 GMC Ambulance
GMTruckGuy74 replied to wildmanjoe's topic in Auctions and Classifieds
Even in private ownership? The NF plates are something of a mystery... took awhile before I figured out what NF was. If it was registered to be used as an ambulance or something related, I would imagine it would be. Plenty of private companies have NF plates for vans shuttling around senior citizens. But keep in mind, I know very little about the NF plates. All of the fire, rescue, and squad vehicles at my fire department and at others in Burlington County seem to have the NF plates... I'll have to look at the private ambulance transport companies to see what plates they have next time I see one (which is usually daily if I'm looking). I would assume a collector of fire apparatus would not be eligible for such a plate though (only if the vehicle was in active service). -

Thanks, balthazar. Just note that I am currently fiscally-challenged so there's no pressure on my end (unless it's one of those too-good-to-pass-up deals, which if this is his "favorite" truck I'm sure he won't part with it that easily ) -

+1 Not in NJ you won't... but then there are parades that you could do that in Brock Yates and Hal Needham would disagree with you. The other neat thing about this ambulance is that in Jersey, it would get the NF99999 plates... No Fee. Even in private ownership? -

Mid-1980s GMC Sierra pickups
GMTruckGuy74 replied to GMTruckGuy74's topic in Auctions and Classifieds
I get what you're saying Camino, with the EFI engines starting with the '87 model year; however, I'm looking not for a daily driver but a "fun" vehicle to register as a classic and take it to local shows and cruise nights. So in that sense the carborated 305 V8 should be fine, right? The only thing is that it would require the maintaining of a carb over a fuel injection system - is that a bad thing (how are these carbs)?
