  1. Oh Derek... why would you post that beauty? Like you, my favorite color is Pacific Slate Metallic, followed by the Sport Red Metallic - however I would take either color in a heartbeat! Of course I had to see what they are asking for that beautiful, low-mileage Pontiac: http://www.1800thompson.com/used/Pontiac/2009-Pontiac-G8-4b7e18940a0a0064006b74c8946db27b.htm?useHistory=true# Unfortunately, a little way out of my range (and yes, I would consider getting rid of the Envoy for a 2009.5 G8 GT Sedan )
  2. I agree, the Bronco would have been one helluva a product for Ford to offer... I'd even be tempted to look at buying one. Now the two-door Tahoe... that should have definitely been on the production schedule in 2000. I remember reading that the 4WD white one you pictured was destroyed after being used as a factory run-about for a few years. There was also a red 2-door Tahoe, in 2WD, that was pretty production ready that also went to the scrapper. Stoopid GM... EDIT: did a quick Google search and found the red one:
  3. If you think ocnblu has ADD, just wait until the 2013 (2014?) Chevrolet Colorado comes along.... Oh, and btw, congrats on the Jeep purchase!
  4. From my experience, I wouldn't say that is 100% true... many people I personally know with base trucks tend to shell out some $$$ for upgraded tires and rims to improve the look of their basic truck. Not all, but a good majority (again, those that I know). In observance of base trucks in the wild, I see a good mix with upgraded tires/rims... but you're right on the dot with one aspect - NAPA, Advance Auto, independent auto part shops with base model trucks tend to keep the stock steelie rims and tiny tires on their parts haulers
  5. I like the way these two look (bigger rims & tires always make trucks look better ): But truth be told, I'm hoping the GMC is the butchier looking of the two... same as with the Equinox/Terrain offerings.

  7. Hoping everyone had a great and fulfilling Thanksgiving day!
  8. Saw this Chevy TrailBlazer this morning with odd looking license plates... sorry I couldn't get any closer for the picture, he started taking off right when I snapped the shot. Any idea where those plates are from?
  9. Getting the fire department's Traffic Unit (2006 Ford Super Duty F350 Crew Cab 4WD) stuck in mud when I heard but not listened to the captain telling me to not pull into a rained-soaked field, but backing up on the edge to park. It requiring another fire department to pull me out with their much older '90s Ford F350 Crew Cab.

  12. So, those that "know" Reuss, is he basically telling us what the GMC Canyon-replacement will be like???
  13. Considering that it has 3-rows of seats, I doubt a longer-wheel base 5-door model will ever show up. Now going the other way - shortening it to a 3-door - would be much appreciated. Land Rover is planning to offer a 3-door Defender (as per the concepts shown already), and GM was known for years to offer a 3-door Blazer, so it would be logical that a sportier, back to its roots 3-door would be at least in the planning stage at this point.
  14. GM already put out a first responders information guide on the Volt many, many months ago. I have a copy that is too large in size to post here, but can email to anyone that would like it.
  15. I gotta admit that I'm smitten by this TrailBlazer SUV. I'm still waiting for GMC's version of the Colorado pickup, and now the thought of an Envoy reintroduction just has me going My plan for 2015/2016 was to keep the Envoy as the family hauler and add either the Canyon-replacement pickup or a Sierra pickup (regular cab)... but with these new SUVs possibly being offered for sale in the States, I may have to rethink that plan.
  16. Gamma II/Delta II CUV (planned), Equinox CUV (smaller version next redesign), TrailBlazer SUV (BOF), Traverse CUV, and Tahoe/Suburban SUVs (BOF) ---> seems like a well-thoughtout lineup of people movers to me.

  18. Yeah, but do they have already have a Chevy SUV like this? Maybe being Buick-esque is the plan to gain more sales? <-- that was my point with the first post
  19. Love the color and the use of the rims outside of the GS model. Those two things on a '12 CXL FWD model would make me drool, especially parked in my garage for the wife
  20. Buick-esque to reach the Chinese market, maybe? I agree with ocnblu, I LOVE IT!! I can't wait to see how GMC styles their version. I think this looks way better than the Colorado pickup, and I'm the type that almost always likes the pickup version over the SUV version any day. Can't wait to see more of this awesome looking SUV
