  1. I'd rather have a '91 convertible for the small upgrades that year received (but these two years are the only ones that offered convertibles, making them rare). Also, this may be one of the rare '90 convertibles that were part of a special edition from Buick (they were all white with red interiors). I'll have to look-up that info and post it here; it may make this car more attractive to the right buyer. EDIT: Found this on Wikipedia.org: So this one is not part of the Select Sixty '90 convertibles.
  2. I think it was mentioned a year ago or so that the MCE of the Acadia would bring about some Terrain styling cues. I'm wondering if the Acadia loses it's body in the process? Since it shared the body structure with the Outlook, it was the most expensive Lambda offered (whereas the Buick and Chevrolet share the body structure). Of course if this is a 2-3 year life extender, GM may allow it to continue on with its current shell (which would be a better base for a boxier/truckier restyling). I will admit that while I like the Acadia, the Saturn Outlook was my favorite. It had a truckier-looking front end styling, whereas I thought the Acadia's was too soft (feminine). I've also never liked the Pep Boys bling-bling tail lamps too. If these two areas are addressed, along with a new/updated interior, it may catch my interests after all.
  3. Ford, Jeep and Chevrolet dealership window shopping on Sunday, saw the following vehicles that peaked my interest: 2012 Jeep Liberty Jet edition (awesome color IMO): 2011 Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab 4WD (with an awesome looking aftermarket tire & rim package): I saw a 2012 Ford Escape XLT Sport 4WD in Toreador Red Metallic with black accents that was awesome, but the way it was parked I was unable to get a good shot (facing the sun). It looked like this:
  4. Cool find! This is the one TrailBlazer I would consider myself (I'm an Envoy guy). I've had my 2006 GMC Envoy SLT 4WD for almost two years now (35k at purchase, has 58k now) with no major issues (a lot of minor stuff was done under the warranty within the first three months I had it). No tranny problems, no engine problems in that time. Absolutely love my rig, though fuel mileage isn't great it's what comes along with buying a truck and/or truck-based product. Good luck if it works out for you.
  5. AHHH!! So reclusive with the GMC information. Let me state this here for any GM employee reading this - I AM THE TARGET MARKET FOR THIS PRODUCT. I WANT a GMC version. I am a GMC Fan and will buy GMC over Chevrolet 10 out of 10 times. Do not think I am the only one here at C&G (ahem, hyperV6), the other Internet forums/blogs, or in reality. Don't wait until the 11th hour to make a GMC version. DO. IT. NOW. Thank you!!
  6. Welcome back, stranger!! So, what juicy GM details can you share with us
  7. Cool semi-review of your first dealership spotting. I saw a red one parked in a restaurant parking lot about a week ago and thought it looked great. I too can't wait to check it out in person, even if its not until the Philly Auto Show (going on Sat 2/4). I like the Verano and was hoping the wife would too - at this time I think it would be a good replacement for her '08 G6 sedan (though not in exact size, but for daily commuting in a fuel efficient package).
  8. And with the recent news of the GMC Granite being dead in the water, I can see your gen2 Terrain vision coming to life. It would be nice though as a last hurrah to send the current Terrain out with a better V6 option.
  9. I agree with you 100%. I think GM is allowing Caddy to benefit the SRX with the 3.6L V6 for 2012, and the Terrain/Equinox will dump the 3.0L V6 for 2013 and have the 3.6L V6 in its place (like ocnblu already stated a few posts up). Honestly, I would wait another year for the 3.6L V6 engine to be the upgraded engine option (though if the 2.5L 4cyl is a vast improvement over the 2.4L 4cyl, maybe I'd consider that) for me to consider a lease option. I don't want a Denali version just to get a 3.6L V6 though; however, it could have that as the only engine available. dfelt, I'm not sure I'd want to see the Typhoon name return (and boy do I LOVE the original Syclone/Typhoon). I think the Denali name would suffice for what you propose to be a Terrain Tyhoon (btw, isn't a Terrain Typhoon called a Tornado? ). I still think GMC should offer the normal packages (W/T-SL, SLE, SLT) in addition to the Denali luxury and and All-Terrain off-road packages. Then GM could restyle the Hummer Hx Concept as a GMC Jimmy offering to compete with the Jeep Wrangler & Toyota FJ Cruiser, and I'd love to see an All-Terrain version of the Terrain (if possible, which I believe PCS/Oracle once said the Theta platform could be made into a beefier 4WD - a'la Jeep Patriot). Giving GMC those model packages could differentiate them enough from their Chevy counterparts (assuming the General doesn't give Chevy the same stuff). Anyway, I hope the 3.6L V6 engine is offered on the 2013 Terrains, and a slight MCE too would be nice (but not necessary).
  10. Glad to see GM sent you a 2012 Terrain SLT-2 AWD V6. I drove an '11 like this in the summer at the Philadelphia Main Street in Motion (I came away very impressed with the V6 over the 4cyl, but that's just me). I'm still tempted to go to the dealership and have them run leases numbers... but I do LOVE my Envoy and the size (and height) it has over the Terrain. Please post some pictures and keep the commentary coming. Looking forward to the Philly Auto Show (going on Sat 2/4) and once again checking out the Terrain in person.
  11. It was reported a couple of days ago over at autoblog that the next GMC Acadia is to debut at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show; however, they have now posted an update to the article that states the Acadia is to receive a mid-cycle enhancement (MCE) only: I kind of think it's a little late for a MCE at this point... the Acadia has been available for 6 years now (on sale in 2006 as a 2007 model), and if a new version is coming for 2013, is it really a good idea to spend that kind of money for a one year deal? Of course the bad news could be that the current Acadia (and Enclave) stick around with this MCE for another couple of years. Your thoughts? Source: autoblog

  20. The Frontier is the only Japanese pickup truck I like (well that and it's Suzuki counterpart).
  21. Saw my first on-the-road (well, in a parking lot) 2012 Buick Verano today. It was the dark red color and looked great glistening in the sun. I can't wait to check this car out at the upcoming Philadelphia Auto Show (1/28-2/5).
