  1. Well, my instinct is telling me that one brand will show a full-size pickup while another brand will show a full-size SUV... So going on that, I'll say GMC will show the Sierra and Chevrolet will show the Suburban. I'm afraid all you're getting is the refreshed Acadia. The GM press conference on the 2nd day likely won't have a reveal, just something social media related. I was really reaching about the new SUVs, regardless of whether its Chevy or GMC. I don't think we'll see them until Fall (LA) or Winter (Detroit or Chicago, 2013), as they will be released after the full-size pickups. But it is disappointing to learn that the Sierra & Silverado will not be debuting show truck versions at the Chicago show. That means either the NY show in April or the Texas State Fair (Ocotber or November?) would be the other options since they'll be on sale in early 2013 and I think the LA show (November) and Detroit would be kind of late to show them. Also, if there's no Colorado or Canyon debut in Chicago, that will be disappointing too. Chris, can you explain what you mean by social media related? What is that?
  2. My mom owns a very well loaded 2005 Saturn VUE V6 AWD and I will admit that the interior of that thing did not age well. It is way too plasticiky for my tastes, with a very cheap feel to almost everything inside. Creaks and rattles? You betcha. Friends of ours had a 2003 4cyl/FWD VUE and they complained about the same interior issues. From what I could tell with my limited time in the 2008 models, the new ones appeared to be better in interior quality.

  4. Thanks CSpec!! Oldsmoboi, I have to be in NYC for the 8th & 9th for work.. will you be uploading pictures as the media previews wrap up? I will keep an eye on my Droid those two days
  5. You don't have to be a psychic to see that this is defintely GM's truck showplace.... my bets are on the Sierra and maybe another surprise (Canyon?) for GMC, with the Silverado and maybe the N/A Colorado for Chevrolet.
  6. The Yukon XL was still parked near my Envoy, so I got a closer and clearer picture: I know the Terrain has the GMC logo in the tail lights, and many of the past couple of years worth of concepts had it in either of these places (Sierra HD All Terrain has it in the headlights, the Denali XT had it in the tail lights). I wonder if the Acadia or the Sierra have logos on them? I will investigate this over the weekend when I go to the Philly Auto Show

  9. Surprisingly, never noticed this on the Yukon XL headlights: (sorry for the crappy cell camera shot; I'm referencing the GMC logo on top of the turn signal unit)
  10. That metallic blue reminds me of the color I had on my 2001 GMC Sonoma SLS Highrider - Indigo Blue Metallic. I like it a lot! Hey, no problem! I like both styles anyway.
  11. Here's some donors to consider: http://philadelphia....2801529708.html http://philadelphia....2826896639.html http://cnj.craigslis...2798335186.html Or you could keep it within the same manufacturer and use a '90 Chevy clip: http://harrisburg.cr...2801191653.html (though I still prefer the '89-'91 GMC front end)

  15. Don't worry about the "teasing"... all I can afford right now are free Internet pictures I'm interested in reading about your two-tone idea(s)....
  16. Yukon Monte Carlo Cheyenne (ok, I know it's just a trim level!) Bel Air Savana (though it's not spelled correctly as Savannah) Kodiak Tahoe Sonoma Bonneville
  17. Dude, you're awesome!! I would have just been happy getting one free ticket!! Hope it all works out, Ocn! I've declined two invitations to this show already, and got a third today. I guess I'm supposed to go to this thing. It is futile to resist!!

  20. If the Mothertruck ends up like that above, we may have to do some talkin'
  21. Oh sure, put a '89-'91 GMC clip on the front... you just love teasing me with the Mothertruck, don't you
