  2. Glad to see she's still happy with her purchase a year later. I agree that in photos these can look a little weird, but in person they are a sharp lookin' little CUV. If the TrailBlazer makes a return on the new Colorado platform, I hope a GMC (Envoy) makes a return too and it's similar in design to the Terrain (that they share that family look). Her fuel mileage seems to be great - some Terrain owners on GMC's Facebook page aren't so happy about their MPG ratings (especially with the 2.4L 4 cylinder engine).

  6. Gotta say, that is very nice looking. I like the Evoque very much, especially the 3-door model. Much better looking than the Nissan Murano convertible
  7. black-knight, that's just a shame about that '06 SIlverado. The real shame is that someone is going to buy that truck at some point too.
  8. No heavy hauling - just how do you explain the condition of the bed then? It's white, like most of you - racism is alive and well with the young generation, I see... "Let's shut the hell up and take it for a spin" - yet he didn't do that Performance enhancer? - I don't think this truck is going to get the average Californian chick "ready" for activities after the ride; well, maybe if she's from Texas then possibly - It's a shame this annoying young man shares the same name as my son black-knight, yes you should be sorry for posting this
  9. I work with a lot of people in Princeton (NJ) that own/lease BMWs and Mercedes and they aren't all 100% happy with their current German cars (some have abandoned their German car for either Japanese luxury or *gosh* a Cadillac). But of course perception is right. Many will look at BMW, Mercedes or Audi as the "God touched this car with his finger" quality and will balk at anything less than German engineering. I may be a GM Kool-Aide drinker, but it is Cadillac only for me (if I ever achieve the financial status to afford one, that is! )

  11. black-knight, I'm with you on the used car price bubble needing to pop. Here's an example of what I'm seeing that I think is crazy: http://southjersey.craigslist.org/ctd/2865710733.html and http://www.villagegreenauto.com/94gmc.html An 18 year-old truck with 239k miles for almost $6,000... are they fracking nuts??? Of course it looks like it's in great condition based on the pictures and video, but looks can be deceiving. A truck like that used to sell for $2,000 tops, but with the current used car demand everyone is trying to cash in as long as they can. Wait until the $5/gallon gas prices hit... used car prices may take a dive then. Just exactly how are new car sales going to increase if the used market continues this upward climb???
  12. Re: Concepts One of my favorite things about the Philadelphia Auto Show (years past) was seeing the concept cars, even if they were 1-3 years old at the time (I started going in '90 and didn't go to the NYIAS until '95 - so for five years I got to see concepts that were originally only shown at the major shows). A couple of years ago it dwindled down to maybe 2 or 3 concepts, this year I can't recall any concepts (pre-production models don't count). Even at the All-GM Nationals in Carlisle, PA (June) GM has stopped showing up with concepts in the T-Building (invitational display). Truly sad when a big company like GM won't show off its big investments to the fans
  13. Did you join the NY "family"???
  14. I found that picture on Facebook - Hess Toy Truck page. James Galdo posted it on November, 16, 2009. It is all the way at the bottom of the Hess Toy Truck - Photos page.
  15. Sorry, I was 6 years old when Hess released the training van as the Christmas toy in 1980.
  16. One of my favorite JK8 conversions is the VWerks Red Jacket: As featured on PickupTrucks.com: http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2012/02/first-drive-vwerks-red-jacket-jk8.html
  17. Re: title of thread... I sure do hope so, and in a GMC version too (Envoy!)
  18. I've always wondered what the EXT and ESV in Escalade meant... EXT normally means Extended, but the Avalanche-based Escalade EXT really isn't ''extended'', that's what the Escalade ESV is (an extended Escalade). Maybe EXT stands for Escalade Crossover Truck? Maybe ESV stands for Escalade Stretched Vehicle? Would be nice if one of the GM insiders could clue us in on all of these [stupid] acronyms! I'd really like Cadillac to return to names, historical or newly created ones.
  19. ETC = El Dorado Touring Coupe
  20. Not knocking a '73 GTO by any means, but I'd much rather have this '77 Lemans: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/2816383263.html Price is still out of my range, but its not bad for what the pictures show. And it is literally 15-20 minutes away from where I live too.
  21. Good luck with this endeavor!!
  22. Me too, and I was seriously into MB vehicles at that time. It is a nice looking set. Funny thing is that I know I had a Camaro like that in my collection back in the day... and here I'm excited about HW's Camaro IROC-Z for 2012!!
  23. Happy belated Birthday, rotorman!!
  24. Oh God, I sure do hope not!!
  25. If you're financing, I'm signing on!! Yes, it is the right one 99% (I want the Hydramatic auto trans to make it 100%)... but beggar's can't be choosers. Just wish I had that kind of dough
