  1. I've had a '70s GMC pickup truck addiction since last October... here's a beautiful '77 K30 SRW Crew Cab that is simply amazing (love the two-tone color of this one too). It's not far from me, maybe I'll email the seller to see if I can take some pictures (b/c God knows I can't afford his asking price!!): http://cnj.craigslist.org/cto/2911220209.html
  2. Always do! Won't be there until the following Monday the earliest (4/9), if plans go accordingly.

I may contact the seller just to come see & photograph it, God knows I don't have the cash (plus not thrilled it was converted to a 4WD). I do question the "raised roof" comment, as it appears stock height to me from the pictures provided.

  8. Think of how many BOF 4Runner's, Xterra's and (current) Pathfinders are sold. This TrailBlazer would target those types of customers.

  10. Leftover 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE regular cab standard bed 2WD at my Buick-GMC dealership: Very tempting....
  11. I grew up with a ton of Monte Carlos, Cutlass Supremes, Regals and Grand Prix's in the '80s. It seemed as if the General had one of those four cars in just about everyone's driveways in the '80s. My cousin had a '81 Buick Regal (3.8L V6) as her first car ('89-'92), that I borrowed for my driver's license test in December '91 (due to the bench seat), my mon had the '83 Grand Prix LJ in triple dark red (marron exterior, maroon interior, dark red half vinyl top), my one aunt had a '86 Monte Carlo in two-tone blue (light & dark), and neighbors had a dark gray '85 or '86 Cutlass Supreme and another had a black Monte Carlo SS ('86 or '87). One of the first cars I looked to buy when I was car shopping in late '91 was a '84 C/S in black with a red interior and those beautiful Olds Rallye rims (in body color). For those of you that remember my attempt (before my first lay-off in '09) at buying that white & gray '87 GP LE, I still keep an eye on it as the former Pontiac-Cadillac dealer has that, and another white '81-'87 GP, under car covers in his former shop garage

  13. Both pictures are as useful as a screen door is on a submarine! Though I am excited to see the new Impala when I travel to NYC in about two weeks. I'm curious as to whether or not I will like the new Traverse; I'm not a fan of the current one.
  14. What about GMC? They're debuting the 2013 GMC Terrain Denali there???
  15. Bull$hit... GM/Chevrolet would sell every single one produced if offered here in the States. Plenty of people that still drive older TrailBlazers and Envoys that would want another truck-like SUV instead of all the CUVs out there. Not everyone needs/wants a Tahoe or Yukon, nor afford the price of one and the cost of gas they consumer. GM is blind if they can't see a market here in the US!!
  16. You don't have to preach to the choir about '80s cars to me... I'll see some at a local smal show, usually a Buick Grand National or a Ford Mustang or a Corvette. But it's only at the larger shows - Carlisle, PA events, Raceway events (Atco, Old Bridge), AACA events - that I'll see more than a dozen. However, cars from the '40s to 'mid-'70s and riced out cars from the '90s to present are always on display no matter the size or host of the show. As many know, the '81-'87 Pontiac Grand Prix G-body is near and dear to me, so I tend to look for them at car shows (which is not always likely). Usually a Pontiac-centric show will have at least one, and the All-GM Nationals in Carlisle will have maybe two. But outside of that it's a rarity for me to see my desired '80s G-body.

  18. Cool purchase! Good luck not only recooping your investment but making a healthy profit to boot
  19. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the Explore police vehicle, saw one last Summer in Seaside Heights (posted a pic at that time here). I do like the Durango, but I still prefer the Tahoe PPV and Special Services (4x4) vehicles. A lot of the local police departments around where I live have begun purchasing Tahoe PPVs instead of Dodge Chargers or Chevy Impalas. I can see my fire chief ordering one of these new Durango's next year (when he gets to replace his '97 Expedition). I've been talking up the Tahoe Special Services (he wants 4WD) but he's a Ford man, so I can see another Expedition being choosen too.

  23. I like this too... however I think the price is about $1500 too high (though the condition and mileage are definitely contributors). It's in NJ, but I don't have that kind of cash otherwise I'd be very tempted to check it out. My cousin bought a leftover red 1992 Chevy Cavalier Z24 Coupe in September '92. Her husband was a big Chevy fan so they stuck with Chevy. In April '94 she was about to give birth to her first child and they decided a new car payment was not in their interests, so she offered the car to me (it had a tad under 8k miles on it - obviously it wasn't driven much). I got to buy it for the pay-off amount (which was low since my uncle was a retired GM employee and she got GM employee pricing, plus she had a trade-in and put a small amount of cash down). I was 19 and in college driving a '78 Camaro LT - this was practically a new car for half the price of new! However, I was very much a Pontiac fan (had been for years) and wished she had bought the Sunbird GT Coupe instead. I know the Sunbird was more of a woman's car versus the Cavalier, but being a Pontiac guy I admired these cars (especially the GT models). This convertible brings back those memories of my Cavalier and me always wanting a Sunbird GT of that era (a girld I dated in HS - she was going to be a senior and I was going to be a junior - summer romance) had a red 1990 Sunbird coupe that we went everywhere in - that also contributed to my liking of the Sunbird. I'll be keeping an eye on that auction
  24. Cool Pontiac! Although, it's hard to believe the Tucker was out the same year
  25. Don't get me wrong hyperV6, I think the Terrain is a great vehicle for GMC to have and it offers an entry level vehicle to consumers (that's not really an "entry level" kind of vehicle). I'm just disappointed with the new Denali model, as I was expecting it to be a bit more different than the non-Denali models. If the Terrain sat higher, was roomier across the 2nd row (I have a 20-month old in a car seat, a 6-year old in a booster seat, and a 17 year-old that find the Envoy's 2nd row tight at times), and offered a little more cargo space - I would be all over one as I find the exterior styling great. Same with the current Acadia Denali... I think it's horrible looking (from pictures of the '13 model, I'm more impressed with it). I am not a fan of the current Acadia Denali as I think they went too bling with that model and it looks atrocious. I don't feel quite the same with the Terrain Denail, but here I think they could have done a little more to the exterior. Agree 100%
