  2. 1955 - One two-tone color combination was available: Bombay Ivory/Cardinal Red 1956 - Eight two-tone color combinations were available: Cardinal Red/Bombay Ivory Cardinal Red/Sand Beige Golden Yellow/Jet Black Cardinal Red/Arabian Ivory Regal Blue/Arabian Ivory Granite Gray/Arabian Ivory Ocean Green/Arabian Ivory Crystal Blue/Arabian Ivory 1957 - Nine two-tone color combinations were available: Cardinal Red/Bombay Ivory Bombay Ivory/Cardinal Red Bombay Ivory/Sand Beige Bombay Ivory/Indian Turquoise Jet Black/Golden Yellow Bombay Ivory/Granite Gray Bombay Ivory/Ocean Green Bombay ivory/Alpine Blue Bombay Ivory/Sandstone Beige 1958 - Nine two-tone color combinations were available: Cardinal Red/Bombay Ivory Bombay Ivory/Cardinal Red Bombay Ivory/Oriental Green Bombay Ivory/Granite Gray Kodiak Brown/Bombay Ivory Golden Yellow/Jet Black Jet Black/Tartan Turquoise Glade Green/Polar Green Marine Blue/Dawn Blue Dawn Blue/Marine Blue *The first Cameo pictured is a 1955 model while the other three are '56 models (id'ed by the side fender emblem and the new hood ornament for '56, in addition to being offered in the Regal Blue/Arabian Ivory color combo). Another interesting fact is that the '55 Cameo used the '55 Bel-Air wheelcovers while the '56-'58 Cameos used the regular but chromed 1/2 ton truck hubcaps with or without trim rings (some owners, like the two middle '56s pictured, added the '56 Bel-Air wheelcovers).
  3. So do you think $250 is too high?
  4. Well, I've advertised this over at the Saturn SKY Roadster forums and two people were interested. One wants to wait until summer is over to buy it, the other wants me to name my price (I tried the old sales tactic, "What is it worth to you?" question to which he replied, "I don't know what it's worth to me, name your price." ).
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6pUMlPBMQA You got to check this out... very interesting in a Jetson's kind of way. Too bad the "future" wasn't even a third of what this Disney movie predicted.
  6. I checked eBay and there aren't many single SKY rims for sale, mostly sold in sets brand new condition. The one or two single ones I did find were selling for $350+ each, without a tire. That's why I was thinking $250 with the almost brand new tire. I may go to the tire shop I deal with and see if the owner can shed some light on this for me too.

  8. When I owned my '07 Saturn SKY, it was involved in an accident in November. The tire and rim were cosmetically damaged and were replaced during the repairs. I kept the original tire & rim and now want to sell them to raise some needed cash. The tire saw 495 miles as of the accident, and very little additional mileage until it was replaced. It has held air with no problems the 6 years its been in storage in my basement. Here are some recent pictures: Honestly, what do you think I could sell the tire & rim for? I was thinking $250, but not sure if that is too high or too low?
  9. Me too, Camino. So I turned to Google and found these: '76 GMC Sierra http://cars.oodle.com/view/1976-spirit-of-76-gmc-1-2-ton-pick-up-truck-2-wheel-drive-long-bed/2941658889-clovis-ca/ '76 Chevy C10 http://www.allcollectorcars.com/1976-chevrolet-pickup-spirit-of-76-bi-centennial-promotion-car-c-15696.htm Door Panels w/ Emblem for Sale http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=501850 A Web Page for a Chevy C-10 Bonanza Spirit of '76 model http://www.73-87.com/Special_Editions/Spirit_76.htm So I guess these trucks really do/did exist!!
  10. In retrospect, I don't have a big issue with the front-end styling, it's more the issue with the side profile styling and size proportianing: The '13 looks squished in the middle compared to the '11 model. BINGO!!!
  11. I'm not surprised about your disappointment with the new '13 Malibu. I can honestly say I was not "blown away" when I saw it last year at the '11 NYIAS, and the few I've seen on dealer's lots and on the road have not improved on my initial reaction. I still prefer the exterior styling of the outgoing model: Too bad they couldn't have put the '13 Malibu's interior into a refreshened '11 body.
  12. Our famous and missing friend, PCS/Oracle of Delphi, stated long ago that the Theta platform was quite capable of handling off-road duty if the suspension was set-up correctly. The current set-up of the Terrain and Equinox is for on-road performance - aka "inclement weather" driving and light all-terrain duty. However, if a modest suspension lift can be installed, with meatier tires, an All-Terrain limited edition (not an Off-Road model) could be brought to market to capture an audience attune to such a vehicle. Jeep does this with the Compass (on-road) and Patriot (all-terrain) models, though we all know that with a little extra tuning the Patriot can be an off-road warrior too. My biggest peeve with the Terrain is that for a SUV-wannabe CUV with truck-like styling, it sits way too low to the ground. That would be okay if it was the FWD that sat this low, but I feel the AWD version should have some lift to it and extra ground clearance. My mom's '05 Saturn VUE V6 AWD (and the Gen1 Equinox & Pontiac Torrent too) sits higher off the ground than the current Theta's do.
  13. You have to remember that many here are not the target market for Denali models. Trust me, these things will sell, and I guarantee that you'll see a lot of 4cyl, FWD Denali models on the road too. I am not interested in this particular model myself, as I would rather have a loaded SLT-2 instead. But I agree with hyperV6 that the Denali trim should have replaced the SLT-2 trim and the SLT-1 could have gained the SLT-2's extra options (standard chrome trim, etc and been called just SLT). Maybe that will happen if more people go with the Denali over the SLT-2 trim - that's what happened to the Acadia (SLT-2 was dropped in favor of the Denali trim, per my salesman at my GMC dealership). I still think for GMC to keep the Terrain relevant and in customer's minds they should do limited edition trims, such as what dfelt wants. I'd really be interested in one if they called it the All Terrain model and gave it a modest lift with AWD standard - a'la Jeep Patriot. By doing this they offer a niche vehicle that really doesn't cost more to do and gain sales in the process. Makes complete business sense.
  14. I cannot argue with your statements, and back them up 100% - especially your summary sentence at the end. Those address all of my issues with this new mid-size truck, especially the GMC model

  16. I've seen this ad before, as "'61 and '62 Pontiac" is a term I search often. Would love to own a restored '61 like the one Cubical posted above
  17. That Cadillac would be a hoot to drive around in Wildwood this summer!! My votes in order of my preferences and if money were no object here: 1. Cadillac 2. Pontiac 3. Chevrolet (color withstanding) 4. Buick (the front grille reminds me of a person with braces smiling very wide )[/i] 5. Oldsmobile (I'm a huge fan of the '56 & '57 Oldsmobiles, but not of the '55 or '58-late '60s models. Though ranked last, I would pass on this '58 Olds regardless of money not being a factor)
  18. You don't happen to have pictures to scan, would you? No scanner, but I could try and take a pic tonight. That would be awesome!!
