PickupTrucks.com: Spied! First Shots of 2014 GM Interior
GMTruckGuy74 replied to GMTruckGuy74's topic in Chevrolet
GM/Chevy PR has been doing some "damage control" by posting the following on various blogs/forums about the heated discussion of these interior photos: -
Other stuff I've been eyeballing

Hot Wheels Pontiac 70th Anniversary set
GMTruckGuy74 replied to Olds Guy's topic in Merchandise Lookout
I remember when Kmart brought that out as an exclusive in 1996. Though I am a big Pontiac and Hot Wheels fan, I passed on it as I thought the price was too high for 3 HW cars ($15?). I of course regretted it not to much after, but couldn't find them on the shelves anymore. Toy shows years later proved dealers wanted much more, so I continued my search. My local Kmart closed about 4 years ago and I got lucky and found it on final clearance sale for $5!! The box has more shelf wear than I'd like, but the cars are in great shape. Congrats on the find!! -

I like the Chevy Custom Deluxe stepside. I've found a couple of '85 Sierra's I posted today that have got me interested, but not to the point I'll act on them -

PickupTrucks.com: Spied! First Shots of 2014 GM Interior
GMTruckGuy74 replied to GMTruckGuy74's topic in Chevrolet
Now I'm going to put on my "Monday morning quarterback" hat on and say that GM has disguised the dash with s pad or wrap and is only showing us the center stack, with the middle seat console and driver's dash gauge pod as an extra. I find it hard to believe that this is the new and modern dash GM would install in the new 2014 Chevy Silverado. Many people have pointed out that you can just barely make out a speaker, see the auto headlight sensor, and the word "Airbag" debossed on the dash. I believe that the speaker is tacked on top of the dash pad, the word "Airbag" is hardly visible, and the headlight sensor is in front of the dash wrap/pad so it would be factory. Most believe this is the W/T or LS dash, though if you enlarge the Automobile Magazine dash pictures you can see the buttons on the bottom of the stack for the adjustable pedals and the rear parking sensor, in addition to the heated (and possibly cooled) seat buttoms on the sides. There's no way that this is W/T or LS dash, unless GM is finally going to open up the options list for all models. -

200 Million to build next generation Chevrolet Truck in Mexico ??
GMTruckGuy74 replied to lt1george's topic in Chevrolet
- Arlington, TX and Silao, Mexico build full-size SUVs and the Avalanche/Escalade EXT. - Flint Truck Assembly builds the light (1500) and heavy-duty (2500 and 3500 HD) GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado pickups. - Fort Wayne Assembly builds the light-duty (1500) GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado pickups. - Wentzville Assembly builds the GMC Savana and Chevrolet Express vans. - Shreveport Operations builds the GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado. *Oshawa Truck Assembly and Pontiac Assembly Centre both built GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado pickups until 2009. Note: Wentzville will be the new assembly home of the future Canyon/Colorado models, not sure if the vans remain there too. -

Do I really need to state it?

I'm going to remember this statement above when the 2014 Silverado is on the lot, or the 2015 Colorado, and you're saying goodbye to the Jeep

Oh boy!! (2005 GMC Sierra Sportside)
GMTruckGuy74 replied to GMTruckGuy74's topic in Auctions and Classifieds
Trust me, that isn't hard to do at this point. I have a loan on the Envoy that would need to be resolved, I would need to get a loan for the Sierra, and then figure out what I would use as a family hauler (the G6 is good for that, but not for all of our hauling needs). -
200 Million to build next generation Chevrolet Truck in Mexico ??
GMTruckGuy74 replied to lt1george's topic in Chevrolet
Are they upgrading the existing Silao Assembly plant with this $200 million? If yes, then all they are doing is getting it ready for the new trucks. The Silao Assembly plant has been making full-size SUVs since 1994, so this is nothing new (thanks NAFTA! ) Now I agree with you that we should be producing more of our products in the USA, but GM didn't close down the Silao, Mexico plant so they'll continue to use it. -
14,000 original miles on this 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE Regular Cab Z71 4WD Sportside: Craigslist ad: http://philadelphia....3079295887.html Dealer's site: http://www.woerths.c...0-SLE-4x4.shtml - For those that know me, this is the holy grail I've desired for so many years (dark blue would make this 100% perfect). This was the last year (2005) that GM offered the sportside bed option. This truck appears to be a very well-loaded model. 14,000 miles. I wish there was a way I could get this truck, even with the new '14s coming out I'd LOVE to own this one. I can't do a 3rd vehicle, nor can I replace the Envoy (family hauler) for this. Oh this sucks.... Anyone close-by Christiana, PA to check this out and let me know if it really worth it?

Yeah, I saw this on Yahoo News yesterday. I actually like the concept, though I'm not a fan how they "restored" the passenger side (left it sloppy in some areas to teach their appraisers how to look for bad work when appraising a classic's value). At first when I saw the article I thought someone made a hybrid SS/base Camaro model to show how different the two trims were

Congrats on the return to the workforce, ocnblu. An oh geez... a Chevy dealership? You'll be out of that Jeep in no time
