Camino, I tried to send you a PM but the box says you cannot accept new messages. Is there an alternate way I can contact you?

Hey, I've got a recent picture like that:

I agree, ponchoman49. My Garmin works just a good as yours and I've had it about 3-4 years now. I've only updated it once in that time and it hasn't gotten me lost. When I purchase my next vehicle, unless another option requires it, I would likely forgo the navigation option. Now the wife's vehicle will be a different story - she has a problem with directions and I don't want her fiddling with her iPhone for directions. Or I can just buy her a Garmin too

I find it funny that none of the GMC pickup brochures show available interior colors!!

While I'd jump for joy that GM offered a station wagon for the masses, my wife would shoot it down in a heartbeat (pun intended). She is not a fan of car-based wagons, though CUV/SUV wagons are great in her book. I too think it is a shame that GM doesn't offer the Cruze or Regal in wagon form in the US. If the Holden Commodore wagon was currently offered in the States, I'd forgo my Envoy and a future Sierra for it (even in Chevy guise). Such a shame that we get the Encore instead of a real car-based wagon. That's marketing for you - always trying to find the new trendy way to sell something!

Color-wise, though I'd dig the Mothertruck looking like that off-road rig

Oh, I better win that lottery soon! Wait, I better stop on the way home and play it first Because when I pay you to finish it for me, I want it to look more like this:

I'll take them (much to the wife's dismay, I'm sure!). I just need a weekend or two to make some room in my basement before I take the ride out to you.

Welcome to Cheers and Gears!! This place can get addictive quick but you will more than likely enjoy the show that unfolds before your eyes. Great looking cars you've had/have... I had a '99 Grand Am GT1 Sedan in bright red new, leased it for 2 years. My best friend bought a new '95 Beretta Z26 in black that I always liked (I agree about them not being the best built cars, but in GTU and GTZ/Z26 guises they sure did look sharp!).

Sorry, today is the first time I've been back on the computer since Friday morning. How many boxes are you talking about? How much longer can you wait?

My sympathies on the loss of such a great man to you, Bill.

Details?

Great story, Camino! You are one luck man for sure For those that don't want to go backwards (pages 1 & 2 have a lot of pictures), let me take this opportunity to report the ones Camino did on those pages:

I totally get what you're saying hyper, but a lot of the volume Chevy dealers around me (high volume ones, like Reedman-Toll Autoworld), lump Corvettes in the same showroom as the rest of the brands they sell. Now if these volume Chevy dealers were going to add a separate area for Corvettes with equally as trained salespeople as the service department is getting, then it would make sense. But the same salesperson that sells a Spark one hour and then a Corvette the next is not offering the Corvette customer top-notch sales experience.

The wife and I test drove a Techno Rose colored Spark 1LT (automatic) yesterday. As much as she loves the new Buick Encore, she still has an interest in the Spark. Of course the test drive was part of the Philadelphia International Auto Show and basically went around the entire Pennsylvania Convention Center, so a short test drive it was. But the wife liked it and wants to visit our local Chevy dealer for a much more "at home" test drive. I on the otherhand liked the Sonic 5dr LTZ (automatic) we test drove better. Women seem to like the Spark hatchback and not the Sonic hatchback (they all comment that they'd consider the Sedan over the Hatch).

How did I miss this thread??? Man, I wish I had the time to come out and pick these up. My wife is on my case (has been for years) for the magazines and automobile brochures I have lying around, "doing nothing". I rarely revisit the mags, but every once in a while I grab an old brochure to look through it. In 2001 my parents moved and I lost my storage space for toys, magazines, and brochures. I was able to secure basement space at my sister's house, but it was a quarter of the size at my parents (my old bedroom!). I was only able to take another quarter of the stuff to the condo my wife and I were renting at the time. Many, many brochures & car mags from the '80s to '01 were put out for recycling - a very sad day indeed. I miss many of the Olds, Chevy & Cadillac brochures I once had from many a car show or dealership visit. If at all possible, can you hold onto them a little longer? If so, I'd make the trek out to pick them up. I'm really interested in the ones with Pontiacs (that '81 Motor Trend with the 1981 Grand Prix is making me drool!).
