  1. That silver/gray '73 Pontiac Firebird with the T-top roof is interesting. Hurst t-tops weren't first offered until 1976, and I believe only on the Special Edition (S/E) model of the Trans Am (could have been offered across the line later in '76, but I know the '77 model year it was a factory option). Do you have any other pictures of the Firebird's roof? I'll assume that the '73's roof was modified for the t-top conversion.
  2. Happy belated Birthday!! I'm hoping it was a great day
  3. Welcome, DieselFit!! There is a wealth of knowledge here. Ask away!!
  4. What inner-city area is that big to hold all of the cars in one backyard? And not be messed with (vandalized) or robbed for parts/scrap?
  5. 2013 Volkswagen Passat SE - my dad's new car (traded-in his 2006 Pontiac G6 V6 sedan) 2013 Ford Escape SEL 2.0L - our neighbor/friends new car, replaced her 2005 Ford Freestyle Both went shopping Labor Day to take advantage of end of summer/year savings. I knew my parents were looking, they've been all over the place (in terms of dealers and vehicles) since late spring, but I didn't realize they were this motivated. My mom wants a new Cadillac CTS, but doesn't want to bite that much in cost (she said she'll keep her '05 Saturn Vue AWD a while longer). I was surprised to see my dad end up with a Volkswagen Passat (didn't know he liked them) - my other neighbor has a '13 Passat SEL TD that he's apparently been admiring recently. Not my cup o' tea but it's his money (my future inheritence, I know! ). I wish I knew how serious he was because I would have taken him to my Buick-GMC dealer and showed him the Regal. Oh well, too late now.

  8. I do find the GMT-900 and the so far seen K2xxx regular cab standard bed models to be "stubby". I've always been a fan of the regular cab, long bed models (with the exception of the sportside/stepside models). Here's the image I got from the GMC.com build your own Sierra:
  9. I found this Sierra picture on Google tonight:
  10. I'm excited about this news. I think if the price is right I'd consider going diesel with a future purchase.
  11. On Route 295 southbound was a car carrier and it had two 2014 Silverado's on it. I swear the Blue Granite Metallic one was a regular cab, standard bed model (the black one in front was clearly a crew cab). If so, that would be my first sighting of a regular cab model.
  12. Holden Coupe 60: It looks as if they added new front and rear end treatments to the Coupe 60 to make this new version:
  13. Welcome aboard! Enjoy your time here sharing your insights and feedback with a lot of nice people.
  14. Is the ElMiraj related in any way to the Ciel? I didn't follow the Ciel much, but I am smitten by the ElMiraj.
  15. Welcome from NJ! Enjoy the time you spend here, as there are a lot of great people and good insights shared.
  16. You can now "build your own" Standard and Long Box Regular Cab models on both the GMC and Chevrolet websites: Build your own GMC Sierra Buiild your own Chevrolet Silverado
  17. I really like the styling of the Fisker Karma and would hope a group can save the day. I'd hate to see the Karma disappear and any variants never make it to the light of day.
  18. I bought this book Thursday night and sadly only got thru the first "chapter" during my mini-vacation to the Jersey shore (I didn't have as much reading time as I thought I would). So far I find the book a good read and want to get back to it soon.
  19. Welcome, Carlalexander!! Some of us have been here a LONG time, and most of us find this place an enjoyable gathering spot. What do you own/drive?
  20. for a very , Senor Ding Dong!!
  21. Congrats on the Buick Encore purcase (lease)!! Lately my wife and I have been seeing more and more Encores in the Princeton area suddenly - though they have been on sale for months now. Yesterday alone I saw three within my work area (two Carbon Black and one light blue). She still wants one, but may be waiting until 2015 to get it.
  22. I spotted these over the weekend at Walmart; I too passed on the orange & black T/A Now if I found the Impala in that blue color, it would have found it's way home with me. Can't wait to see what else comes out of this venture in the near future.
  23. Happy belated Birthday, Cspec!!
  24. What, the regular cab model? I'd find that strange, especially for fleet-based customers (auto parts stores, for one). There are a ton of older Ford Rangers in use still by Advanced Auto Parts stores in my region, along with Terminex pest control (though I am seeing more and more new F150 regular cab 2WD models taking their place). Would be a shame if no regular cab was offered, but seeing as how the Nissan Frontier hasn't offered one in quite a while and now Toyota is dropping the regular cab from the Tacoma lineup I can see why GM would follow. However, they'd be targeting a market no one else would be in and it's not like the regular cab model doesn't already exist outside of the US.
