Well, I like the one where the guy is lost driving to the restaurant and keeps asking Sue-Sue for directions
-
Good catch! And yes, I too would have prayed for some heavier winds if I was there :D I've been waiting to see some more Wrangler spy pics... thanx!!!

:o Wow... While I've always liked the '59 El Camino, none have impressed me as much as this one! I'm assuming that the factory never two-toned them like that, right?
-
Plus the rims and bodyside moulding on that poor truck are specific to the Chevy Silverado line.
-
The PAD is my favorite, followed by the SMART Rescue Vehicle (yes, I'm being serious).
-
Thanks for the update & info Griff.

Like Ven, I too would rather see BUICK get the minivan rather than GMC. Out of the current four CSV's, the Terraza is my favorite followed closely by the Relay. I agree it would be better for Buick to have the minivan in addition to Chevy.
-
Griff, I thought it was Chevy and Saturn???? Did GM change its mind again? I think with the Acadia, GMC (and Pontiac) wouldn't need a minivan.

VenSeattle, it's refreshing to read a response like this. Several people here at C&G have dismissed the LaCrosse; I for one have liked the looks since day one (although I will admit it took a while to come to terms with the headlight design). I'm disappointed by the fact I didn't have the time to test drive the LaCrosse CXS that my dealer had, but I'll be back (and maybe sooner than I thought thanks to you!).

Well, I did get to go to the dealership I RSVP'ed at; however, due to a sick baby at home, a very tired mother, and the other child having to attend an hourlong CCD (religion) class, my time was VERY limited (no test drives of ANYTHING). This dealership, located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, started the event at 5:00 PM. Outside of the dealership was one of those "Hollywood" light trucks; three Lucerne's lined up for test-drives (with one other on the road); two Lucerne's parked out on the road-front display; and five or six Lucerne's in the showroom. Food included pasta, sandwiches, coffee and various desserts. The dealership was crowded with <older> customers; however, at 30 y-o, I was the youngest person in attendance!!! While many sales staff were entertaining & demonstrating to customers, I attracted the attention of the owner and his wife (maybe they want a younger owner base?). After about 20 minutes of talking and BS'ing, I was offered the opportunity to come back at my convenience to test drive ANY Buick I wanted to at no obligation. While my ultimate gaol tonight was to drive a LaCrosse CXS, time & family constraints made that goal unattainable. The courtesy and attention paid to me by the owner & staff, along with the offer to test drive any time without hassle, has definitely made me a potential customer at this dealership. Buickguy, I hope to, and soon!!!

*BUMP* No news on this lately? I'm interested in the LaCrosse; however, if a newer look and some additional changes are on the way, I might be inclined to wait!

Well sooner1, my dealer situation is reversed - my local dealer only has one Lucerne in-stock (Platinum CXL) and the hosting dealer has several, including many CX models, in addition to three CXL's and one CXS (in the showroom, presumably for the VIP event). While I want to go for the Lucerne showing, my side-agenda is to drive a LaCrosse CXS. I've liked them since they came out last year, but have not had the opportunity (or excuse) to test-drive one. The Pontiac/GMC dealer I bought my Envoy from this summer does not have a Buick store, and the Chevy dealer I use for servicing the Malibu is a Chevy store only. Unfortunately, I "burned the bridge" at two other Buick/Pontiac/GMC dealerships this summer by not purchasing my Envoy from them! :P Any idea of what to expect at this VIP event?

Has anyone else here signed up for the Lucerne V.I.P. Premiere Night that's being held tonight (Tue., Dec. 13th)? Select Buick dealers are holding this event for those who previously registered on Buick's Web site. Strange thing is the Buick dealer right around the corner from me isn't, but I have to drive about 15 miles or so to another dealer. My baby is sick, so I'm not sure if the wife will let me go, but I was wondering how many C&Ger's were going.

Do you have pictures to illustrate the differences? I'd like to see what they look like. The '91 - '92 Custom Cruiser has always been a favorite of mine. I'd love to find one in that dark red/gray two-tone  Does anybody here know the reason(s) why GM/Olds killed it off after only two model years? I've always wondered about that...

I'd like to have seen the LaCrosse with this item from the factory. It would only be three per side, but at least it wouldn't leave the Lucerne to be the only Buick with this feature.

I just bought the same colored Solstice in 1/24th scale by Maisto. Looks 10x better than the 1/87th scale you have pictured there! An (ugly) yellow and the blue were available; I went with the dark blue because that's the color I'm ordering my SKY in! :P So they've finally issued the Chevy Cheyenne concept pickup, huh? It's been a while now.. it's been mentioned on it's packaging since spring-time. I've seen a Maisto playset at K-mart that includes the Hummer H3T and the Cheyenne, but have been unable to locate either of them outside of that playset. I have the yatMing Solstice... I think it's pretty nice looking. I think YatMing vehicles have gotten better over time. Some in the past I wouldn't have purchased because the lack of quality. The YM Solstice has opening hood, doors and trunk - yup, when the trunk is open you can even see the folded roof (molded in & nonfunctional, I think). Don't see kind of feature that with too many models. Plus at $9.98 (BJ's Wholesale Club), who's complain? (uh, those that paid $20+,, that's who!!!) Please post some pics of the SS & Cheyenne whenever they become available :)

From the various spy shots of the GMT-900 Sierra, I think GM's blowin' smoke up our butts by telling us the Yukon & Sierra will have different front ends. What will be different I think will be the grille insert (headlights, bumper, hood will probably be the same). Look at these two pictures and judge for yourself: Sierra: Yukon:

:worthless: Not because of you Harley, because of GM's lack of showing us these trucks. They better be out at the Los Angeles or Detroit shows!
-
Thanks Sixty8, I can never get enough of those Futurliners! I think it's about time for GM to reintroduce the "Parade of Progress" roadshow to the American public. If they won't go to see GM for themselves, then GM should take it directly to them. The GMC PAD would be a great vehicle to use as the modern-day Futurliner.
-
Well, it would be really nice if GM (or whomever) would *leak* some pictures, uncamo'ed, of the new GMT-900 GMC Sierra!!!!
-
Why doesn't someone *find* pictures of the GMT-900 Sierra, for ME? :)
-
I only saw the front shot... dang! I would have loved to see the rest :(
-
:o    Man, I love that truck! I'm so jealous.... :P Damn my wife for making me buy that damn Malibu   Even though I love the current Sierras, I'm dying to see what the new 2007 GMT-900 versions look like.

Ocn, you have my condolences. I have two great little Lhasa Apso's at home and hate to think of the day the unthinkable happens (they're five and two years old). The poodle I had growing up died in June of 1998 - he lived for 17 years. I was heart broken, as he was the only dog I ever had for that long, and I wasn't home when it happened (Dad had everything taken care of before I got home - nothing was left). I went from June of '98 to March of '00 without owning another dog (I was 23 y-o and living with my parents at the time of his death and they said "no more dogs"). My wife and I got our own place in Sept. of '99 and decided after the holidays that we were going to get a dog. It was the best thing for my aching heart (for almost two years I was still heartbroken about the loss of my childhood dog). The point? Even though you can never replace the pet you lost, having another will definitely add joy back to your life. I know how you feel right now and maybe it's not the time for a new addition, but keep that in mind. I love the fact that my two little dogs get excited every time I come into the house (even if it was just going out to get the newspaper from the driveway!). The wife told me once that I love the dogs more than her - I said do you ever get this excited when I walk in the door?!?!?! Time will heal your aches, but a new dog will only help it heal faster. I'm here for you if you need someone ([email protected]).

Congrats on the new truck (GMC --> my favorite!). Post those pics soon, I want to see your new toy.
