1. Fell in love with a Black on Black Lucerne CXS last night while visiting a local Buick dealer's lot. If I had the money for that fully loaded CXS, I'd go for it in a heartbeat (and I'm 31 y-o).
2. The Olds F88 sold for $3.24 million last year. What did the Futurliner sell for? I missed seeing it on tv. Also, what did the Bonneville Special sell for?
3. I DO NOT like the blackwall look on this car. My personal choice, although I would also be happy keeping the stock rims and adding whitewall tires. A great look, but not my preference. I went to the Carlisle Fairgrounds "All-GM Nat's" two years ago and there was a guy with a Caddy just like this one (rims and all).... and to boot he added a 6-speed manual trans, custom made console, and bucket seats. A neat Caddy, but again not my preference. Btw, congrats on the purchase. This Caddy still remains my favorite today... and I love seeing them on the road still. There's a real nice dark blue or black one that drives all around where I live. He's an older guy, so maybe I should ask him to sell me it when he decides to retire it!
4. Philly Auto Show runs from February 4th thru 12th.... the wife and I will most likely go on Saturday the 4th, regardless of how crowded it will be (we usually go on the first day).Sixty8, I want to go to the NAIAS every year, but living in NJ and being a high school teacher pretty much rules that out. So I look forward to making the trip to NYC for teh NYIAS every April (or March - it always runs during Easter, starting on Good Friday). Plus the good thing about the NYIAS is that the vehicles intro'ed at the LAIAS, NAIAS & Chicago shows will all come together and be at the NYIAS!
5. When will the new Opel GT debut??? When does the Geneva Motor Show start?
6. So, basically make it a bigger HHR? I think Fly's suggestion was the best, and to offer it in a hardtop (non-convertible) model too.
7. That was the same commercial from the Video Music Awards (VWA's) shown on MTV like three months ago, and I believe it can be seen on Saturn's web site.
8. I for one was excited about this concept, only to be let down by Daimler/Chrysler for giving up on it. I think it would be a great idea for GM to introduce something similar to the Dodge M80.
9. Thanks bobo. That one kid looks like he's up to something... and he's too close to my car! Btw, it's nice to see that they're still showing last year's CONCEPT Sky Especially when it's just about to go into production.
10. It also comes in red (Agressive), as seen at the LAIAS: http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/attachm...23&d=1136852533 http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/attachm...20&d=1136851611 http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/attachm...21&d=1136851611 http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/attachm...22&d=1136851611 And since the GXP series use a honeycomb theme, I think this would have been a great time for Pontiac to reintroduce honeycombed alloy rims: Retro-themed as seen on the '99 GTO Concept:
11. What color is the Saturn SKY???
12. That's not what you're thinking... it's the GM Design Center badge that's on ALL concept vehicles, and has been for decades.
13. A local Pontiac dealer is advertising a $23,995 Solstice for $23,095 -- that's $900 OFF msrp! I guess they're having a problem selling their Sol's, or it's false advertising!!!
14. Well, it's nice, but I was expecting more. How about shots of the interior? That might help to improve my opinion of it. Any word if there will be a pickup truck (a'la Scrambler) version???
15. So evok, what kind of hope can you give me for the GMC Acadia?? Since the Enclave was pretty close to the Centimme, please tell me that the Acadia is NOT even close to the Graphyte. I couldn't stand the face on that concept. Great job Buick & GM. My wife definitely took notice of this tonight. She said that she wants one when the Envoy lease is up in the summer of 2008.
16. Exactly how do you find a NEW 2003 Olds Aurora??? You can't find one through GMBuyPower.com, nor Oldsmobile.com.... I'd like to know this answer!!!
17. Considering that I have a '04 Malibu LT sedan, YES, the G6 is out of the question. One of the reasons I've looked to replace the 'bu is that with a car seat for the 5-month old, the rear seat offers little comfort (I had to put the car seat holder in the middle of the rear seat, otherwise the front seat would have to be moved up too close to the dash). The rear seat area of the Lucerne is humungous... right now with the SKY looming in the near future, I have to deal with the 'bu for maybe a year or more :o  :(
18. Well, I'm 31 and I've asked myself the same question (Imp SS or Lucerene). My answer - the Lucerne! While Buick may not be viewed as a young person's car, I think the Lucerne is going to change that perception. I think it has a great look about it, the rear seat area is great for adults and children alike, and the trunk is HUGE! The Imp SS is nice, as is the LTZ model, but I would go for the Lucerne myself. Plus the Lucerne CXS has both a sporty and luxury personality to it. So I say BUICK all the way :)
19. I don't think they do, they look like the factory-spec units.
20. That's the one I leased my Envoy from last August!!! That's the trouble the wife and I had; GMAC decided to include our Rendezvous in the August Pull-Ahead program. Problem with that was there were no Envoy's local enough to dealer trade for. They ended up getting the Envoy from somewhere in PA!!!
21. The last picture looks a lot like the Kappa-based Chevy Nomad concept's roof (was it the inspiration for the design?) It gives the Solstice (and presumably the SKY) more utility to make it an everyday driver. This will be at the NAIAS??? :metal:
22. Well, she's warmed up a lot more since she first went nuts over the fact I wanted to add a third car to the stable (and another monthly payment). She expects to drive it, and I said around town "okay"... but she wants to take it to work, where it seems all the parking spots have been made for compact cars and I've got two really nice scratches on my Malibu to prove my point to her (and the fact that someone with a blue car hit the rear quarter panel and left some paint on it - which thankfully was able to be rubbed out). Oh, and I think I'll have the car transferred to my dad (same name, he's a Senior) before going to divorce court if it ever came to that! :P
23. I wanted the Bluestone, that is until I saw this picture of it on a Solstice: Now I'm going with Midnight Blue. ^_^
24.

Cool Grey (what most people are deluded to think is silver, but its really not)
Actually, it's called Silver Graphite (#42U)
Coastal Grey (aka Stealth Grey/Blue Granite/Slatestone)
Bluestone (#72U); it is not the same as the Stealth Grey/Blue Granite/Slatestone - this is a brand new color for GM
Yellow
Sunburst Yellow (#34U); same as on the Cobalt coupe
Lime Green
Forrest Green (#38U), and it's no where near as bright as lime green!
there's 4, now what's the other 5?
Silver Pearl (67U) <---- as seen on the original show car Polar White (50U) Black Onyx (#41U) Chili Pepper Red (#74U) Midnight Blue (#25U)
25. Oh, I know that picture was in the 2005 Saturn full-line brochure. I was questioning whether or not that was the optional spoiler or if it was going to be specific to the Redline model (as the car pictured seems to be the Redline because of the dual exhausts). On the Sky Roadster Forum, someone has posted a link to another website showing what the actual spoiler looks like. The pictures were taken by an employee at the factory; I won't post the pictures here, but click to see the post for yourself.
