I saw this 2013 Caprice PPV Detective (9C3) car at Carlisle in June at the All-GM Nationals show; the person happens to live in the town next to me in NJ but I have yet to see the car cruising around: This is another reason why I desire this car so much - with some simple add-ons from the GM parts bin this car looks awesome!! This 2012 or 2013 Caprice was parked near the green one; more basic/factory than the green one (owner just bought it that week, I was told), but I do like the look of the standard wheel covers:

For me, a decontented SS is not on my desired list; I want this: I prefer the look and elegance of the longer Zeta. Sportier cars should be smaller, like the SS. I don't want sporty per say; I want entry level luxury/touring.

I was hoping to find the Super Treasure Hunt of that Camaro - I like the extra details added to it and the real rubber tires and better rims. I bought the same as you pictured because I like how those rims look on it. I'm hoping Matchbox uses the '71 Oldsmobile Cutlass wagon to do a Hurst wagon too - that'd be awesome!

Drew, I simply refused to put the front plate on my Saturn SKY when I got it. I kept the plate in the house too, no zip ties or trunk storage for me! Never ran into a problem with NJ police - benefit of living close to the PA border too. I see many Corvette owners do the same (operate with just the rear plate). Most cases I've heard the PD will give you some grief as long as you still have the plate, and no one I've ever known has gotten a ticket for no front plate.

I am a fan of the 2014 Impala, and if I knew I could live with a "car" as my daily driver I'd likely be in one already. Wife is not a fan of the new Impala, so I see no way of talking her into one at this time. Well, for the SS I would not pay $45k - I mean I like it a lot and all, but I was a G8 fan (short wheelbase) and so far not a huge fan of the SS (got to see one out in the real world first I guess). As for the Caprice/PPV, I love the longer frame and body than the shorter SS and would not have an issue spending $41-42K for a loaded Caprice LTZ with the 6.2L V8 The Impala LTZ's I checked out this summer stickered for $37-$39k for the ones I'd want, so I'd be willing to go up a couple grand for a Caprice.

So, since I'm not all up on the Zeta knowledge, but a HUGE fan of the Caprice/PPV, is there any chance of the PPV spawning off civilian Caprice models in the US? I was just in Atlantic City this weekend for a work holiday party. Saturday I saw at least 2 NJ State Police PPVs and Sunday I caught a glimpse of a PPV in Atlantic City PD guise. I'd drop all desires for a pickup on my next purchase (2014/2015) if GM/Chevrolet offered the Caprice sedan. I am in the minority here in that I actually like the SS Sedan but can't justify spending $45k for a "car" (bad enough the Sierra I want is in this price range now). Any chance I'll see a Caprice LTZ in the showrooms, or is it a pipe dream?

All Tahoes and Yukons from '92-'99 had the 5.7L V8 engine, though the diesel was optional in at least 1994. I don't think you'll have to worry about the '97 Tahoe not having a V8

I'd like to see a sportier Verano. I'm a fan of that car and the Regal GS, so I'd be interested in seeing how GM/Buick could spice up the Verano in GS guise.

GM's strategy is that the mid-size pickups will go after the lifestyle pickup owners, those that need a truck for their active lifestyle (needing space to haul, i.e. extended or crew cab). Those seek work-based regular cabs are being directed over to the full-size pickups. This is another reason I've read on why the 4.3L V6 is staying with the full-size and not being offered in the mid-size trucks. It would be awesome to see the time and effort put into the H3 frame for off-roading come to fuition in the new Canyon/Colorado pickups. Rumor back in 2008/2009 was that GM was testing the Hummer frames/suspension underneath Canyon & Colorado bodies. Not sure if that was for H3T testing or for proposing the return of the ZR2/Highrider option. Since I can't get a new H3T, I'd definitely consider a beefed up All Terrain GMC Canyon with the longer bed option

I've read that the press release has been updated to indicate that a manual transmission will now be offered, but only on the WT-trimmed 2.5L 4cyl 2WD Colorado.

One thing with the new Colorado that hasn't appealed to me is the 'tiny' tires. I understand 17" rims are being used, but the tires look lost on the bigger body. Chevy has these photos on the GM News (media) site that while I'm not a fan of the exterior finish (Lifeguard) I am in love with the look of the BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A LT265/65R17 tires it uses: I could definitely see me needing a set of tires like that from Day 1 of ownership. Also, it seems the rumors of the Canyon being revealed in Detroit in January (NAIAS) are becoming more prevalent. B U M M E R

I'm really hoping GMC gives it's fans an early Christmas present and doesn't make us wait for the NAIAS. That would give Ford or RAM a chance to steal their thunder.
