  1. YJ, could you please resize those pictures.. I have to scroll all over the place just to view those large suckers!! GM/GMC had me really excited when they showed the Syclone II (and yes, there was even a Typhoon II developed). Word back then was that GM was developing the new turbo & AWD system to be used when the Sonoma was replaced. Geez how quickly that program died out
  2. 1985 Chevy El Camino Choo-Choo Custom, gray with maroon interior, for sale.
  3. Those are two good lookin' Buicks my friend!
  4. Hmm.. Buick Electra? :AH-HA_wink:
  5. I hate to say this, but I hope they offer this deal next year when my AURA lease expires. We were lucky to take advantage of it last time (August, 2005), as my wife's Rendezvous was 5 months away from lease-end and GM gave us a pull-ahead offer with the Employee Pricing deal. It gave me a fully loaded Envoy SLT 4WD for a sweet deal. Of course with leasing going away, I'm facing the fact I will have to purchase my next ride and if the incentives are good enough, maybe it will help me to get "more vehicle" for my money (of course a year from now can be a whole different picture).
  6. I too like the styling of the new Lincoln MKS, all but the taillights/rear (look too foreign-designed for my tastes). But it's still a nice design overall regardless. I'm now seeing them on the roads in southern NJ more too.
  7. I voted rarely, as I'm not a coffee drinker at all... but reg's post hit on something: back in '95 & '96 the wife and I, while dating, would spend a lot of our time hanging out in Princeton and we'd usually end up in Small World Cafe (a cofee house; she'd get coffee, I'd get hot tea). She's still a Star Bucks person (her company is installing one inside of their new building), but I rarely step inside of a Star Bucks myself. So to me (and reg), coffeehouses were cool in the mid-'90s
  8. 1982... I was just starting to play with the new-for-'82 3 & 3/4 inch GI Joe toys, pushing the Tonka trucks around the yard still, and having the time of my life being an 8 year old kid. My 15th high school class reunion (Class of 1993) this year was cancelled (it was an outdoor picnic scheduled for Aug 2). Out of a class of 215 seniors, only 10-15 paid by the deadline, and 5-10 more by the extended deadline date. I didn't go to the 10th reunion back in November of 2003, but only 31 returned from the class of '93. My best friend from high school refused to go, and since I haven't spoken to too many others since graduating, I really wasn't looking forward to attending (needless to say, I was relieved when word came that it was cancelled due to a lack of interest). My best friend said he'd attend a 20 year-reunion, but nothing before it; maybe many others feel the same way???
  9. If money is not a big factor, here's one with an age range of 3-8 years old (and probably a higher passenger weight rating too): Gaucho Rock'in Ride On - Peg Perego (Toys R Us, $629.99) More information here and here. Of course Peg Perego has 24-volt powered vehicles that are for the 5-10 age range too :AH-HA_wink:
  10. The age range is 3-6 years old.
  11. A very Happy Birthday to my old friend!!!
  12. Umm, I do. While the Insignia Sports Tourer is nice and is one wagon I'd like to see for sale in North America, if the G8 SportsWagon was available too, I wouldn't hesitate to choose the Pontiac over the Saturn in a heartbeat. +1
  13. That's exactly what the back of my wife's 2008 G6 says still!!!
  14. That's me, right there... although I do need something to haul the once-a-week BJ's Whlesale Club shopping I do for the School Store I run, I really rather just drive a pickup truck.
  15. No rear axle, no BOF construction here, and the bed's sticker states it can only carry 25 lbs. MAX. Don't you know what this really is? It's the mule for the soon-to-be-released 2012 unibody Ford F100!!!
  16. I take it that they're not Star Wars geeks, because if they were they would have used 77 instead of 33 (referring to 1977 when Star Wars debutted). In the Star Wars collectibles scene, some Vader merchandise (like jersies, hoodies, and t-shirts) had "Vader 77" as the featured design: Oh yeah, I know I'm a Star Wars geek!!! (and yes, I'm anxiously awaiting tomorrow afternoon to see the new "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" movie!)
  17. Well, at least somebody in my household has a pickup truck to drive And yes, he is extremely happy with it... actually, for the last two months all I've heard was that he wanted a "Ford F50" (as he calls it!) for his birthday. I was tempted to put some of the GMC emblems I have lying around on it before giving it to him, but figured the joke would be lost on him at this age (my neighbor, who is a Ford junkie, was thrilled with this gift and that my son actually likes Ford trucks for real).
  18. I get a Subaru-feeling from the rear shots of this new Opel... Does anyone know if this is coming to North America as a Saturn???
  19. Wait, so when Pontiac offers the "performance" trim on this model, will it be called Pontiac G8 ST GT??? Wow....
  20. Man, after seeing the new Pacific Slate Metallic color, I really, really, really want a G8 ST myself. Too bad it's only a 2-seater...
  21. That was a great commercial!
  22. I will admit that I do like the Ford F-series pickups (not sure about the all-new 2009 models yet)... when the wife was considering an Edge back in March, then a Focus or Fusion in early June, I was constantly drawn to a well-loaded black & gray F-150 Super Crew in the showroom. No matter how good the deal was, if I was going for a pickup it would be a GMC Sierra Crew Cab hands down.
  23. Yes, beyond my wildest imagination, I was forced to fork over hard-earned cash for a Ford product. Here's a picture of the new 2008 Ford F150 STX that's parked in my garage: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Well, I never said it was mine! My son Justin celebrated his 3rd birthday recently (08/08/08) and this was one of two presents from me, the wife, and my step-son (the other was a new Tonka-themed boys 14" bike). Here's one with the happy owner: He is extremely pleased with his Fisher Price Power Wheels Ford F150 STX with Monster Traction! He got it Saturday afternoon and has spent an hour or two driving it everyday since.
  24. Okay, here's some pictures of the '75 Caprice Estate 6-passenger station wagon I spotted locally for sale (FYI: 79k original miles, extra parts, minimal rust, $2,000 OBO): PM me if you want the phone #. Car is located in southern NJ, not far from the NJ Turnpike, Route 206, and Interstate 295.
  25. Some additional pictures:
