  1. Sorry to see you experience this incident. At least you walked away without injury, which is the most important part. Now that the Beetle needs body work, and given your past trends when you've had accidents, the new Colorado can't get to the dealer fast enough Of course the Crew Cab models will be landing first, as Extended Cabs are coming online for ordering this week.
  2. Sorry it's taken me a while to reply, ocnblu. From the 2014 NYIAS in April:
  3. http://cnj.craigslist.org/cto/4578545956.html - 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 Ram Air Coupe I was searching G-body Pontiac Grand Prix's ('81-'87) and stumbled upon this awesome low-mileage 2000 T/A Ram Air WS6 Coupe. The wife and kids love this car, and I can't say I blame them. I had a a '95 T/A Coupe (used) in 1998 & 1999 - I absolutely love the '93-'02 generation ('96 & '97 WS6 Coupes are my true love). The '95 I got rid of for a more family sensible ride ('99 Grand Am GT1 Sedan) and the wife has not to this day let me forget how much she loved my '95 T/A. Showing her this 2000 got her all worked up and my son jumped on the bandwagon. Neither want me to pass up this car and want me to forgo a new '15 Canyon for this T/A. So the plan would be that if I purchased the '00 T/A it would be a family fun car (3rd) and my Envoy would be replaced by a small car lease for the wife and I inherit the '08 Pontiac G6. I forgo a new pickup for the next several years. Or I forgo the T/A and continue my path towards a new 2015 GMC Canyon. What would you do?
  4. Not for me, balthazar. I see so many '60s 'fleetside' ' Chevies at shows a stepside model would be my ideal truck
  5. Not a huge fan of the early-to-mid '60s GMC pickups but if it was the right price ($2k or <) I'd consider one. This one caught my attention recently but exceeds my range; check out the full listing here: http://southjersey.craigslist.org/cto/4582603348.html
  6. Happy belated birthday, my friend!! Celebrate all weekend :-)

  10. dfelt, I don't believe the Thailand version is any smaller (maybe only in length). GM needs a true small truck, same size as a Sonic and in regular & extended cab offerings only, to target the weekend DIY'er who may need occasional hauling capabilities or a somone who wants a small truck as a daily driver with excellent FE.
  11. -No Regular Cab offered -Manual transmission standard only on the basic 2WD extended cab model -Diesel engine will be available to order late Q3/early Q4 2015 as a 2016 model year option -Diesel engine will come with automatic transmission only

  13. The only difference in the SLT Trim 2LT vs. 4LT package is that the VJQ front recovery hooks, NQ6 2-speed Autotrac transfer case and a lower GVWR (5800 lbs. vs. 6000 lbs) are not included in the 2LT. Doesn't make sense to me to bother offering this package at all and just offer the 4LT.
  14. It's apparent that I'm a truck guy, that I'm the target market for GM's new mid-size pickups and though I prefer trucks to cars I don't necessarily need a full-size pcikup truck for daily hauling/towing abilities. Having said that, the 2004-2012 GMT-355 Canyon & Colorado was too small for my family needs. I appreciate GM making the new Canyon/Colorado trucks the size they did. I had a '14 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab 4WD rental for a weekend in June and while I was totally in love with GM's full size truck, the cost to buy one and fuel it (though it was more fuel efficient than my '06 Envoy) would really tax my paycheck. The new 2015 Canyon looks to fit my expectations - still large enough truck to fit my family, has an affordable price range (a similarly equipped Sierra 1500 4WD SLT Crew Cab would run MSRP $50-51k; I'm projecting the Canyon Crew Cab SLT Long Bed 4WD to run MSRP $39-40k), and I expect it to be better in fuel efficiency then the full-size trucks. I do agree that GM's current small-medium-large approach (Canyon/Colorado-1500-2500/3500) is a farce. A true s-m-l approach would be if a compact truck was offered below the Canyon/Colorado and would be more "back-to-basics" in its style & equipment (think Spark-Sonic) than lifestyle/luxury minded (mid- & full-size pickups).
  15. I feel so much like Charlie Brown, waiting for GM/GMC to release final ordering, pricing and fuel efficiency information on the 2015 Canyon!! The Canyon was shown in January at the NAIAS (Colorado shown earlier, November, at LAIAS). Very little information has been released to the public and I'm getting anxious. The wait is killing me!! And it sucks tha Ford has released pricing and a 'build your own' feature for the 2015 F150...
  16. Scion xD? $17,490 MSRP with Automatic Trans: http://www.scion.com/cars/xD2014/ Since her lease isn't up until March 2015, she might be able to get a good lease deal during the winter time when sales are usually slower?
  17. The Chevy Trax will be out in 2015
  18. away
  19. Apparently the same two owners that put Corvette flag emblems on their Silverado!
  20. LOL @ balthy I miss the term "extended cab" already... double cab just doesn't make sense. Regular -> Extended -> Crew is much better than Regular -> Double -> Crew. So Drew, when can we expect to see pictures of the new GMC Sierra?
