I know Balthazar, they're pricey ($22 for the driver's side <24">, $20 for the passenger's side <21">), but everyone I know that uses them states that they last a long time and have great performance. I'll give them a shot and see how well they perform; if I'm not convinced they're worth that amount of money, I won't buy them again

I'm glad you had a great first experience, and a media-based one too. I've been going to new-car auto shows since 1990 (Philadelphia); started the New York Auto Show in 1995; and had the wonderful opportunity, thanks to some kind and generous friends who purchased an airline ticket as a present for me, to fly to Detroit in 1998 for the NAIAS (I'm dying to go back one of these days). It will be something that you will never forget about the rest of your life. Drew, you know I'm very close to New York City, right? I can't spend $1,200 on a new camera, but I can see what I can do to improve my photo taking equipment Cory, about those media kits... you didn't happen to pick up an extra GMC Sierra All Terrain HD Concept one, did you?

The G6's blades are on their last leg, so I stopped by my local Advance Auto Parts store to purchase a set of the Bosch Icons and wouldn't you figure the series the G6 needs is not carried in the store?!?! The manager went online to order them and they are not available. He said that he will check in more detail today for me, seeing if he can find them somewhere and quickly. I really want to try these out on the G6, and I purchased another brand for the Envoy from Wal-Mart out of need (the Envoy sees all winter-weather driving duty and I needed a set quickly). Hopefully he'll find me the series I need soon so I can try these out and post my observations here.

Thanks for posting this bobo, it is always a pleasure to read and is much anticpated by us older posters! I too have benefitted from the addition of a new family member in 2010, my daughter Sierra Skye (born July 14). May good health bless your entire family in 2011. Thank you for including me once again in your annual Cheers and Jeers. I was not expecting any mention since there are so many wonderful posters on here, but I am quite proud of that recognition (yes, I am a dork!) and I just LOVE seeing that picture pop up from time to time To ALL C&G posters - have a wonderful, healthy, prosperous and car-driven new year "2011". My goal (resolution) this year is to make at least one automotive-related experience happen per month (car show, cruise night, museum visit, auto sport event attendance, ect). So far I've made it for January - took the boys to the Sun Center Arena in Trenton last weekend for the Advanced Auto Monster Jam show, and plan to go to the AACA museum soon too as a bonus for working way too much in November & December Now I just have to figure out what other things I can do in March & December (two other "winter months" that car shows/cruise nights don't exist).

Thanks for that info, Camino!!

Olds Guy, have you personally seen or purchased that GMC Terradyne? I know it's a crappy picture, but it is a 2010 release (maybe 2011?) in dark blue. I was only able to find the 2010 release in the light tan. I found them on eBay, but not sure I want to bite quite yet there - a local toy show is coming up on 1/30 and of course I'm still working at Toys R Us so it's likely one weekend I'll find one in an unopened case (it seems that the HW are never in an unopened case ). Thanks in advance!

And to think that I whored myself to Toys R Us for 25 extra hours a week (on top of my 40 hours at my primary job) to make Christmas shopping money when there were other options available

Okay Drew, I've reconsidered my request and I'd like a few specific shots, in addition to what I already asked (Re: Sierra All Terrain HD Concept): 1. Head-on of the frontend 2. Close-up of one of the headlights 3. Head-on of the rearend 4. Close-up of one of the rear taillights 5. Shot of the door emblem(s) 6. Shot(s) of any other emblems, especially if there is any "Sierra" script 7. Shot of the wheel & rim Thanks!

Oh, and since the Escalade ESV Platinum made an appearance here already, I just happened to park next to one at work today that is gorgeous (even covered in snow):

2011 Buick Regal Turbo at my Buick-GMC dealership last Thursday: 2011 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Denali in white: By the way, since the "Pontiac" signs were removed, they have a new dealership roadside sign and the signage on the front of the building changed:

Okay, I'll be vehicle specific for you - the 2011 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD Concept. However, I can't be too specific with shots or angles. Pretty much get any cool detail shot that hasn't been seen online, and especially a shot of the "hidden" GMC logo (like how the GMC Terrain has "GMC" in the side taillight lense covers). Anything that is cool about this truck would be gretaly appreciated. All I've seen are full shots of the truck and some detail of the bed and side box. Thanks Drew!! (wishing I could be there to sit in that truck myself)

I like this car so far from these pictures. I can deal with the front quarter glass; too bad it doesn't open like the old vent windows back in the '50s & '60s. I like this car much more than the Cruz, and I showed these pictures to the wife and she likes it too. That metallic brown is an awesome color, just saw it on a new 2011 Buick Regal at the dealership last Thursday and I was like WOW!

Yes, I've noticed that these snow stakes/poles just seem to magically appear overnight in November (in my area) and subsequently disappear overnight in March/April when the threat of snow is gone. My parent's "active adult" 55+ community uses these at driveway openings and other key areas along the curbing and the plowing results are so much better than my development. Shopping centers galore and large companies use these to identify parking islands, sidewalk/crosswalk openings, and other curbing areas. My development employs two different plowing services - the township is responsible for the main access roads, whereas a larger landscaping company will do all of the side roads and parking lots (I live on a golf course community). Both services tanked last snow storm - not close enough to the curb (some areas the curbs were visible due to snow drifts, other areas were completely covered), narrow lanes, and large amounts of snow piled at intersections and in front of people's homes and community mailboxes. Last year the landscaper came in the day after clean-up with a skid steer tractor and moved most of the mounds of snow onto the common areas to clear most of teh roadways. The township also came back the day after and replowed lanes wider; not this year. These snow stakes/poles would definitely aid in determining how wide to plow. Again, thanks to all for the input and information. A quick google search last night turned up various suppliers of these snow stakes/poles.

Thank you three for replying, I appreciate your input. I know what they're for, silly The link and name (snow stakes) are exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for providing them both. I figured "driveway markers" would be too easy... especially when my quick search brought me these cheesy items that you can buy at Wal-Mart and Home Depot: The Snow Stakes, or Snow Poles as some sites I quickly found, are what I've seen in different communities and shopping centers (and usually appear in November and disappear in March/April). Well, part of the HOA Board is a "snow captain", whose job it is to drive around after the snow stops and make sure the plow contractor is doing as they have been paid to do. I'd imagine it would be his job, o his committee's, to oversee the installation of these snow stakes/poles and subsequent removal/storage until the following year (or if the contractor supplies these).

OoD.... cryptic as usual mudmonster: if you work for GM and have anything to do with the 2011 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD Concept Truck, you are my new personal C&G hero

Okay, I want to know what these orange-reflective colored poles are called. They're usually steel, but I've seen some that are plastic (I'm more interested in the steel ones). The reason? My Homeowners Association meeting is coming up in two weeks. My development, unlike many other housing developments, businesses, and shopping centers in NJ, does not employ the use of these marker to aid snow plow drivers when plowing my housing development. What would normally be two passing lanes have turned out to be one, maybe one & a half narrowly plowed lanes. I have seen how these markers improve plowing results outside of my community and want to recommend my HOA purchase them for winter usage. Of course if I leave it up to the HOA Board Members, it will never get done. If I can find out the technical name of these markers, then I can search where to purchase them and provide this actual information to the Board. If they don't act on it, at least I can point a finger. I know this is off-the-wall, but I'd appreciate anyone with knowledge of these markers.

http://www.autoshopper.com/used-cars/1995_Oldsmobile_Cutlass_Supreme_Philadelphia_PA-3371380.htm V6, auto w/OD, 78,000 miles, p-seat, p-lcks, p-win, cruise, tilt, leather int., p-top, 2 dr, convt, $2,995. I've always wanted a '90s C/S Convertible, and the Holy Grail would be the '95 like this (and I even dig the red). Too bad I'm still under-employed and without a dime in the bank to spend on a "toy" car.

http://www.autoshopper.com/used-cars/1988_Oldsmobile_Cutlass_Supreme_Kenvil_NJ-3627645.htm (eight more pictures at the link above) 45k original miles, rear bucket seats, digital dash, all for $3,450. A teacher of mine in high school had one of these C/S Internationals, except her's had the red & gray exterior with the red velour interior. I've always liked these versions of the C/S, and it would be a cool car to own for future cruise nights.

J/k!! Sorry, you set me up so easily and I couldn't resist the urge to hold back
