  1. This is a great place you got here. I go by Floyd Henderson but some call me Hendershot. Just thought I'd introduce myself. Not always around during the week but it's nice to catch up whenever I'm around. Again, real nice place, keep up the good work.
  2. The bigges tobstacle was always the labour union legacy. That's the root of all the pessimism and guess who created that mess? It's always been known that when you buy an import you ge features and options for the money and when you buy a GM you get health care for your cash. Now that it's settled for now at least the sky is the limit. Not the Saturn Sky, although that is a nice stop-gap. There's no telling where GM is headed but up is a good guess IMHO, of course.
  3. Didn't a judge in England find 9 factual errors reagarding his movie the night before he won this award? The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded for a variety of reasons. Theres a rather nice sum of cash that goes along with the honor as well.
  4. It sounds like you have two problems but for concerning the first, thats what the right foot and the rectangular shaped pedal on the right is for. Why would you ride behind a truck like that anyway? About the girls: Are you sure they weren't texting someone?
  5. Those were the days. When you could go to Canada with twenty bucks in your pocket and live like a king for a weekend and all the tasty red herring you can eat for pennies on the dollar.
  6. Thats only mosstly true. They don't look so bad though some people prefer a more refined look like the g8. What a slamming lookng ride. These ain't bad by any stretch either. Damn these Global markets
  7. Well, in fairness, it was only the Japanese that outright attacked the US. Perhaps they were unwitting pawns in a more complex scheme but they awoke the sleeping Giant. Everyone else has been dealt with in one manner or another...thats of course considering they can be found. No one had a gun their heads. Talk about the original suicide bombers. How times have changed........
  8. ...helping you overcome the biggest smallest obstacles?
  9. I don't get whats so special about that bulbous blob as a center stack. It looks almost scab-like. And that dead pedal? I'd like to see how the console holds up with those extra pieces attacheched near the footwell. The outside sheetmetal looks like a rush job. I am sure they will sell every last one.
  10. How could anyone associate Kia with a quality automobile? How many people know Kia is Korean? hence why i stated ASIAN. :AH-HA_wink: But it is o.k. because they consider domestic cars "so-called American" and I know there is no shortage of people ready to defend that accusation. How many people in this country can't find themselves on a map? Plus I really hate their television commericials in the off chance I am unfortunate enough to see one.
  11. The guy they quote in this article is so full of $h!. His name has appeared numerous times and I laugh each time I read something he has to "contribute". Its amazing how badly off some people are they need quotes from this needle dick to guide them. Amateur at best, hardly any accurate insight and makes me wonder how some people sleep at night and if others believe the nonsense people like him spout. There are some good ones out there, he certainly is not one of them. Oh well, maybe the people reading Newsweek are smart enough not to believe everything they read.
  12. Its a damn shame you consider that offensive. Everyone has to watch what they say because the morality police are in force. What a crock. You should not take yourself too seriously, life is too short. :AH-HA_wink: With all this faffy politicaly correctl BS that pervades this country guaranteed the next generations turn into the biggest bunch of pu$$ie$--I think it may have already begun.
  13. That's what im saying. Surprise!
  14. I almost feel dumber afte reading this. So you had a friend, good for you. Maybe your friend is retarded too. Note the "too". You think that was rude you have no idea. Don't critiique or comment on matters that you can't back up. And especially when the "record" you quote is plain old not right. Too bad you took offence to something tat clearly had nothing to do with you, :AH-HA_wink: http://www.kia.com/info.php
  15. Fair enough. The guy did walk away though. I'll tell you Ive seen much worse from MB and BWM and othes at the repair shops in my neck of the woods. Much worse. Fact is insurance is fickle when it comes down to HP, just be thankful it has more than two doors. :AH-HA_wink:
  16. Lighten up fella. If you read what I wrote it is clear what I am saying. I don't need a geography lesson much less a history lesson from you. I simply do not think it is the best choice for a tagline. Now, do you have anything relevant to add that I or most people do not already know? :AH-HA_wink:
  17. Is the "Power to Surprise" slogan for Hyunda/Kia the best choice for an Asian based car manufacturer. Almost as bad as when GM ran the Superbowl commercial with the laid off robot, but I know, I know, its not nice to call attention to these matters. Pearl Harbor was considerably well befre my time, but that was the first thing I thought of..Not that I harbor or condone racism/prejudice just curious for some thoughts. I think they caould have done better. **If this should be moved to a more appropriate location please do so.
  18. Considering the desrciption of the wreck and the fact the driver (supposedly) walked away unharmed Id say you are completely wrong. If you know anything about crash science and engineering the more give in an impact the better off you are--until a limit of course. Id say this is a testament to sound engineering. :AH-HA_wink:
  19. ahhh, neither do I but that is the perception, no?. Perhaps if you tell a big enough lie long enough, well, whatever that is the perception as of now. Wouldn't it be nice if this becomes a reality as opposed to the typical "biased" media mutiny and disdain for all that is GM presumption.
  20. It certainly doesn't have the same BMW appearance in person. It's decent looking just like the Altima/Camry. They all seem to always be going in the same direction design wise. Best bet is the Honda and Toyotas beat steal eachothers sales. It's rather sad, I think, that when some people write off Toyota they go directly to Honda without passing go.
  21. Car and Driver is already billing the G8 as the "sedan that will save Pontiac" This Zeta may have more value than you may care to consider. :AH-HA_wink:
  22. Isn' that first talking point the very thing that got you going about the Volt in the first place? What would you do during the down time while waiting for the "as close to excellent as possible" quality to arrive? I do like your "secret shopper" idea tho. But I think I just like the word secret--makes it sound sexy.
  23. Yea sure and when they win you say "they bought the championship" and when they lose its "You can't buy the championship" Worst argument ever. Gotta love the inexplicable that is baseball. My, how things change so quickly.
  24. Halo sucks anyway but hey maybe it just isnt meant for me. If this GXP G6 can hold it's own then why not. Never liked the Supra or z's either who the hell knows? This at least gets some attention and maybe now at this point that is what it is about?
  25. 42nd floor? Don't know but hear the latest about Jim Morrison? Interesting stuff there.
