I thought the Wedding Crashers and The 40 Year Old Virgin were pretty good. Wedding crashers I put in the same category as Old School. Of the two I liked 40 year old virgin the best. Slutty Summer.. not particularry my type of movie

If I had the money.. I'd be interested in learning stick off it. Is it driveable at the moment or will it need to be repaired before driving? You're about 5 hours south west from me so that's a bit of a drive.

What about WWF (World Wildlife Fund) vs the former WWF (World Wrestling Federation) now known as WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment)

Follow up to the highjacked pickup thread.. so how many people here are musicians? I've been playing guitar since 9th grade just after i turned 16 so i've been playing for about 7 years (a vew lessons here and there but never fully schooled). I started to pick up drums about two years ago since two of my coworkers play drums (among other insruments/vocals). Well here's the majority of my stuff: Drums: Pearl Forum Accoustic: Alvarez Dreadnought - My dad bougth in 1979 and I got it as a graduation gift (even though I was playing it daily). I have since had some work done on to it. lower bridge for better action, straighted neck, new tunes, bone piece on the bridge to replace the crappy plastic piece. and a few other thing that's escaped my mind. Center Electric: Kramer Focus 2000 - I got it one xmas a few years ago, this one too has had some work done on it. Replaced the Floyd Rose bridge and locked the the new bridge down so no whammy bar is needed, the new bridge was lower that gave some amazing action.. (four or five sheets of paper might be able to go under neight the strings), The neck was straighted out too. Right Electric: Jay Turser (les paul knock off) - I have always loved les pauls and this paint scheme with gold hardware is how I'd love to have mine. I saw this off an ebay auction and immediately bought it. It came shipped in a cardboard box that for a while I used as a case. I had looked for a hardshell case, took the guitar to a music store and they tried out a few lespaul cases but none fit since the bridge was too high and the body wasn't the exact shape, and I wanted a formed hardshell case. The guitar played pretty decent for rhythem but compared to my kramer, soloing was not as smooth. not to mention the action is pretty horriable. One time I'm at my aunt's house and I had brought the guitar (still using that cardboard box as a case) and when I'm returning to my car to put the guitar back, the box rips and the guitar hit the pavement. The plastic piece at the top of the neck was chipped and some frets were loosened so when ever I strum sometimes the high e string gets stuck. Shortly after that I bought the bullet and got a hard shell case for it. Now I'm regretting getting it but right now I'm debating if I should have it repaired and sell it and get an Ovation 12 string I've been wanting for a while, or have it repaird and some more work into it so it's a bit more playable (but it's no Gibson). And then on the bottom I have my Fostex 8 track recorder, toneworks multieffects pedal, and a dan electro wah pedal (CRAP!) Alright.. post your equipment.. or just talk about random music talk.

I have yet to see a sky in person but first time I saw a solstice I and a simluar reaction. I was taking a left turn at an intersection and a silver solstice was at the light to my right. Lucky I didn't look too long or I might have hit something. But from the pictures I love the bold look of the Sky more but I'll hold off till I see one in person and since the pontaic and saturn dealerships are right next door to eachother I could just walk over and compare. The Pontiac dealership has a red solstice on the lot and the only grip I have about it is the grill looks cheep IMO. If it were a black metal with chrome trim (simular to what the G6 has) I would really set it appart I think(maybe that's avaiable through aftermarket or gm accessories).

Went dealer hopping this last Saturday with a buddy, first stop was Buick/Pontiac/GMC and they had a few Lucernes on the lot as well as a loaded red Solstice ($27k!!!) and next to it was an 05 CTS-V. There was one sweet red G6 GTP (6 speed) coupe on the lot and supprisingly there was only one 05 GTO (silver, 6 speed). I had went to the lot with the intention to test drive a G6 or GTO (if they had autos since I can't drive stick) but not one sales man came out and even asked if I need any help. Then I went to a Honda/Dodge, while my friend was checking out an 06 Civic Si coupe, I was checking out some Chargers and Magnums (No SRTs on the lot ). There were probly about 4-5 salespeople on the lot and not one of them even paid attention to us. I even asked one guy as he was walking buy "how's it going?" and he said fine and walked on. Then we went to a Chevy dealership.. I'm scoping out a black loaded 06 Monte SS ($29K) some older salesman comes out and I play it off as if I'm about to graduate college in the spring (I wish) and somewhere I screwed and said something that gave him the idea that I'm BSing. I'm realing that he's not gonna let me test drive that car so then I just said I was just looking and he went on his way.

Here's one both of you will enjoy.... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/VZ-Holden-Commodore...1QQcmdZViewItem That Chevy embelm looks very good there... B) You know if GM had brought it over as a Chevy, I guarentee people will complain how it looks too much like a 2000-2005 Impala (Grand Prix vs. GTO complaints). I don't see that as a bad thing though.

Sounds like something from a Mad Max Movie

I'm in the same boat there.. Born in upstate NY, still living here. the furthest east I've been is capecod/boston, the furthest west I've been is ohio, furthest north is toronto, and the furthest south I've been is richmond, Va. I'm really considering the same thing. A buddy of mine was talking about taking lessons but he's leaving for the Marines this month.

Same here... Keeping it stock would be a challange for me too.. First I'd start with some flowmaster mufflers, then I'd move on to headers, unrestricted cat, redo the entire exhaust to true duel with an x-pipe, camshaft, ect..

Exactly.. Music to my ears

There's times where I redline it ... and there's times where I just drive like an old man. Depends on my mood. Majority of the time I'm hard on my car. Now my previous car, 88 LaBarron coupe 4cyl w/ busted turbo, auto.. that car I could floor and it had a 0-60 in like 2min.. no joke. One time I'm out with my buddy Jay in his 82 Monte and we're going like 60mph or so on some back roads. We hit a set or railroad tracks and we're air borne long enough to look at each other and go "Oh F*$#!!!" a loud crash when we hit the ground but that was his tool chest in the trunk (luck the trunk and not the back seat). The car stalled out and we had to coast it down the hill and parked it over night. The next morning my buddy came back to start it and it fired up as if nothing happened. B)

Deja vu? Prowler.. T-Bird... Too overpriced, underpowered (at first), love/hate looks. Also the lack of good avertising could be another factor (though that trailer commercial where it does a 180 and back up onto it is awsome).

Saturn Commercial during Golden Globes

A bit poor in quality -
Those production taillights are quite nasty looking compared to the concepts LED lights. Front end looks really good and I agree this could have made a better Torrent or Vue.

The only drama shows I watch are Rescue me and Nip/Tuck, I've been interested in the Shield but would want to watch it from the start. I also occasionally watch re-runs of Star Trek (TNG, DS9, VOY (currently not on the air), ENT)
