  1. The BRX is coming in the 2010MY (if I remember correctly, it's either '09 or '10) but I don't think it will have a 3rd row (the SRX's is useless anyways) and it will be based on TE instead of Sigma. I guess the CTS wagon sort of replaces the SRX.
  2. It has Buick's new portholes? That's really weird. Perhaps it is testing the UV8?
  3. Certainly Alpha has not yet been approved, but that doesn't mean it is planned to happen. For example, the plan is to put the NG Lucerne on Zeta, but that hasn't been approved either (yet). Certainly Alpha could get canceled, but it would appear to be in the plans right now. Yeah, Oshawa will be more than capable of handling all Zeta production, at this point at least. With the volumes they're projecting I don't see what's going to come along with volume that is high enough to merit converting another plant to Zeta production. Even if they exceed the targets by 100k combined between the Impala, Camaro, and Lucerne , they'll still be well below Oshawa's capacity.
  4. Hmm, let's see... The Viper is about the only thing that looks good at all. The LX cars are so overrated it's not even funny. The 300 is a brick with a fancy front end, the Charger is just ugly unless you get the SRT-8, which actually looks really aggressive, and the Magnum is about the same as the Charger. The Caliber is ok, as are lots of Chrysler's designs, but nothing makes you say "wow" other than the Viper.
  5. Mine too. This is what I like to see out of GM. Aggressive marketing that says "F you" to Toyota. I do believe I said that Toyota would regret their ridiculously-aggressive marketing campaign when GM and Ford struck back with equally aggressive campaigns that Toyota has nothing to combat it with (such as "They've been watching our trucks!")
  6. The radio is really cool, and the interior is miles ahead anything Ford has in North America, but as a whole this car does nothing for me.
  7. Just going by the bit of the headlights that are visible and the wheel flares, it looks similar to the Commodore/G8.
  8. Have you looked at an Outlook? Perhaps there would be on that you like that you can just take off the lot? IMO the Outlook's interior is nicer than the Acadia's (better materials).
  9. Alpha is supposedly the small RWD platform that 3-Series type vehicles can be made from.
  10. And they'd all look better painted. Take the SRX for example. When it debuted, it looked like this: But, before it was released, it ended up looking like this: I'll take the second one everytime over the first one.
  11. I wish the Enclave was monochromatic. Two-tone makes it look too much like a rugged vehicle, and not a luxury vehicle.
  12. Congrats! The Acadia is a very nice vehicle.
  13. Welcome! Glad you have had a good time thus far.
  14. If his teammates are trustworthy and abide by the rule of "what happens in the locker room stays in the locker room," then I see no reason why it couldn't be kept secret. Look at the steroids issue. I'm sure teammates have seen other members of their team taking steroids/performance enhancing drugs in the locker room, and until recently, when things have gone up in smoke, it's been kept in the locker room. If someone did leak it out, then they're the one that their teammates would be looking down upon. Their the ones that aren't trustworthy.
  15. I think from a team standpoint, Lebron is correct. He's not saying they should publicly come out, he's saying he should let his teammates know. Notice he says, "what happens in the locker room stays there. It's a trust factor." He doesn't mean he should come out like Amaechi, he just wants his teammates to be upfront, which is definitely something I would want regarding any issue on a team.
  16. Yeah, his comments are pretty bad. I wonder if he had any good friends that he played with that are gay but never told him? I wonder if that would change his opinion of gay people? I think Lebron had the best quote regarding the Amaechi deal, "With teammates you have to be trustworthy, and if you're gay and you're not admitting that you are, then you are not trustworthy. So that's like the number one thing as teammates . . . we all trust each other. You've heard of the in-room locker room code. What happens in the locker room stays there. It's a trust factor."
  17. It has GTO gauges...

  19. Umm, isn't that Bumblebee?
  20. What the hell is GM thinking even talking about this? They OWN the segment, so why would they want competition that would be as good as their vehicle, at least in terms of ride and handling? The ONLY thing I can think of that GM wants out of this is minivans, but Chrysler's minivans sell more on being a Town and Country and Grand Caravan than being best in class.
  21. Buying just Jeep would be fine. Buying anything more than just Jeep would be dumb.

    Snow!

I haven't heard an official total, but probably 12-15 inches with huge drifts. We had two days off of school. The streets are ok and some of the sidewalks are covered snow, so I think lots of us (students) will be walking down roads tomorrow.
  23. Maybe you should buy a slightly used one. The Canyon can probably be had very, very cheap used. Dakota too. Not sure about the resale value on the others, but you'd still probably save a good chunk of change. And, since you're going to keep it for so long, you might as well pay as little as possible now since it won't be worth hardly anything when you get rid of it.
  24. This isn't going to happen... GM has enough troubles without adding Chrysler to royally screw things up. AND, GM would be "known for having the worst interiors in the industry" (because Chrysler is so terrible at them) when it appears they're starting to make some of the best.
  25. Pontiac is looking less and less necessary by the day. It seems Pontiac could easily be rolled into Chevy. The Impala can fill most of the needs of G8 buyers. The only reason I see for the G8 to survive is that it will be significantly smaller than the Impala, I would think. The Solstice could be made into a baby Corvette. The only thing I don't see working in Chevy's lineup is the future small RWD Pontiacs, because I think that having Aveo, Cobalt, small RWD cars, Malibu, and Impala would create too much confusion. Pontiac can be viable if the Impala and G8 can target different buyers. The NG G8 would need to be smaller than the one we're going to get now, so that it is much more nimble than a RWD Impala. Then of course Chevy doesn't have a Solstice, nor a small RWD line of vehicles, and Pontiac looks necessary again. BUT, if the Impala and G8 aren't well enough differentiated, I don't see much point in having both, and then you could say the only reason to have Pontiac is the small RWD car(s), as everything else could go to Chevy.
