Ok, so you can get a padded one, like I originally thought before I saw a picture of one with leather without the padding. Apparently you can't get one if you get the DVD player though, which is ridiculous. "Daddy, let's get the one with the DVD player so I can watch movies. The only sacrifice you have to make is you'll have to be very careful when using the center armrest so it doesn't hurt you." The only person getting owned is the one who pays $915 to get leather and a padded armrest only to pay $1195 more so thier padding can be removed and a DVD player installed, as well as having a sore spot on their arm.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Ah, ok. Thanks for the lesson.

Wow, I'm trying to figure out how that's even possible. The car split in two because of the tree? That's one less hot wagon in the world.

I personally don't feel the 06 lights look as good on Torrid as they do on most colors (also don't like them on Impulse Blue). I like the VX tails the best on Torrid: Be careful if you get 19s, you'll probably have to roll/cut the fenders.

Exactly. Who cares if GM has $2k on X car and Toyota has $500 on Y car if GM will only sell a certain number of X cars to fleets. Once GM sells the number it has decided to stop selling them at, the sales would go to Toyota because the fleet company wouldn't be able to buy any more GM's at the cheaper price.
-
GM makes them, they're part of the same package as the grills (sold separately or together). I've thought about getting one, but I'm not sure if it's worth the money for both of them when I don't have much extra cash to being with.
-
And what exactly is your point? The amount of money on the hood has nothing to do with how many are sold.
-
After looking at it some more, I think that my main problems are the Japanese-like rear styling and the dumb side strake (is that what it's called?) that belongs on a sports car (like the Vette) and looks totally out-of-place.

Actually, upon further review, the Avenger doesn't have any padding on the armrest even when you get leather: I think I sat in a Sebring with leather and figured that they would give the Avenger with leather the same armrest as the Sebring with leather. As you can see in the photo, it is not only hard, but rough, and for some reason they thought the front of it should be pointy.

The Aura has hard plastic on the tops of the doors like the Avenger, but the rest of the plastic on the door is not nearly as hard as the rest of the Avenger's door plastic. The Avenger should sell more than the Aura. Dodge sells to fleets, the Avenger has an I4, and costs thousands less. In addition, the Saturn dealer network is probably 1/10th as big as Dodge's. The problem is I don't think you can get it padded without getting leather, and I'm going to guess that you can't get leather and nothing else.

Dodge is going to need a whole hell of a lot more money on the hood than $500 to sell the Avenger in any sort of volume. If you don't get leather, you better wear long sleeves if you plan on using the center armrest, because it's very sharp, hard plastic. If you get leather, than it's covered in fake leather, which is fine, but if you get cloth, well, watch out. I'd say the Avenger is not even mid-pack when it's brand-new. Fusion, Accord, Camry, Altima, G6, Aura, 08 Malibu (though I didn't sit in it, it appears to be superior), Passat, Mazda6, and Milan are all better.

The exterior is too derivative while being busy at the same time, but the interior is very nice. With some work, it would make a good NG Aura.

It's official. Chrysler's up for auction...NOT?

I think you'd be happier if GM bought Chrysler, kept the few good models, and kept the lineup small than Chrysler just killing itself. Also, GM can't f@#k up Chrysler because Chrysler already accomplished that. -

I don't think you understand my point. If GM bought Chrysler, GM would not have a business case to build the Viper, because the only way they Viper would stay alive is if GM put in on the same platform as the Vette with at least a very similar engine (GM is not going to design/develop a V10 just for the Viper), and that makes no sense because then they're the same car with different styling. -
Feb. 2007 Sales: American Honda Motor Co.

Nah, the TL looks very old now. It aged well for the first two years or so, not it looks derivative and a bit bland. -

And this means they can coexist how? They are not as different as you make them out to be. The purpose of each is the same, whether the Viper is unrefined or not. If they're going to co-exist, they aren't going to each get they're own platform, engines and transmissions. GM's not going to do spend money to make them different. They would be nearly identical, and therefore the Z06 would not be so much more refined, the Viper would not have such "relentless power at all times" (I'm not so sure the Z06 doesn't have more relentless power). If GM owned Dodge, they would be basically the same car, and that makes no sense for GM to produce both. Oh, and the Z06 looks better from the outside. There, I said it. I personally don't find the Viper to be that attractive. I feel the Z06 looks more sleek and sexy and the Viper looks too upright. -
That lower grill is weird; I'll take an '07.

I have a feeling we're going to see a new Monte Carlo/Chevelle/GTO. I don't know which one were getting, and I'm betting on only one, but I am definitely expecting one of the three. (Note I have seen no info to back that up, just a hunch)
-
Just the grilles, not the whole package. CaddyXLR-V, do you plan on buying the front fascia extension to go with the grills? I think it looks best with both, but I like the stock stuff better than the SAP bumper, wing, and side skirts.

Both the T900s and Silverado can tow 10500 if you get the 4WD model. Oddly, the Tundra can tow more (10800) in 2WD than 4WD, but the T900s can tow less (10300) in 2WD than 4WD. Max payload for the Silverado is 2160, max payload for the Tundra is 2065. I would hardly call the Silverado or Sierra bad at towing or the Tundra bad at hauling stuff because the other out-tows or out-hauls the other by a very slim margin. If you're going to be very close to the max towing capacity, it probably makes sense to step up the HD model if you can, anyways.
-
The Tundra is only better than the Silverado and Sierra in terms of powertrain. Otherwise, the T900s are superior in every way. The 6.0 is what, 5 years old? I would hope a brand-new engine could put out more power than a 5 year old engine. And, the T900s would have 6-speeds if not for production capacity. The 6.2/6-speed combo, which I have no doubt will become available very soon, will be every bit as good as the Tundra's powertrain, if not better.

GM's incentives were the same as last year. Ford's incentives rose 9%, Chrysler's dropped 6 percent (though were still the industry's highest), and Honda's incentives more than tripled(!) The article I'm getting this from did not include any other manufacturers.
-
If they just wanted to see what vehicles towed the best, they should have tested the 3/4 ton models, as those undoubtedly tow better than any of the 1/2 tons. That said, the Tundra has the best powertrain (though I think the Sierra is rated at 200lbs more?), so it's not much of a surprise that it won.
