  1. Oh boy... we have someone here who can't do research themselves on one site and ridicules others for not doing research... Fuel economy is listed, interior dimensions are listed... I don't see why your so concerned about the web-site comparison. No one (except perhaps Toyota and Honda humpers) looks at specs online, sees that one car is better than the other on paper, and then goes and buys that car without driving the others it was compared to. If your beloved Accord is better then the people will go and drive them all, see that the Accord is better, and buy it.
  2. But if there's nothing illegal about those parts there's nothing wrong with it. What's wrong with selling another ricer the rims and tires for $1500, the brakes for $750, the craptastic wing for $250, the carbon fiber hood for $1000, and the ricer tails for $150 and giving it to charity? Certainly they shouldn't sell them the illegal engines and such, but if the stuff is legal and not stolen, why waste it?
  3. I see no point in putting it in the Heritage Museum; what makes it so special? There are many better cars, who cares if it's the last one.
  4. I don't understand why they don't take off the non-illegal parts that are of value. Those wheels are obviously not illegal and they could sell them for some good coin, and aren't hard to take off at all. Also, how can the transmission be illegal? Shifts gears too quickly? Not that I'm at all heartbroken about seeing some rice patties crushed, but it seems they could have sold those parts and like the guy said given the money to charity.
  5. Just some ideas... For the '73: RED DEVIL/RED DEVL" If that's Hugger Orange on the '68, how about "HUGGR SS."
  6. Don't know what your last name is, but the last 3 letters of my last name are "ZOG" my license plate says "ZOG GTO." I think I would have gotten "GTOWNED" if I would have thought of it at the time.
  7. Excellent! These will be HUGE sellers! I'm working on construction sites as an inspector this summer and all the HD trucks are diesels, but most of the trucks out there are 1/2 tons. Get the diesel in the 1/2 tons before the competition, and sales will have a HUGE spike. I also can see them doing well in the SUVs.
  8. I'm not very impressed with the center stack. The door panels don't look like anything great either.
  9. I heard/saw the after effects of a semi running into the overpass above a viaduct.
  10. 142 mph in the GTO. Could have gone faster, but there was a turn Haven't tried to go past 120 mph since then. I guess the thrill wears out.
  11. Went to a car show today. Among the more notable entries: Chrysler TC and a 1969 Yenko S/C Camaro with 29.3 original miles. Holy hell was it beautiful.
  12. The Charger's Boston Acoustics system is supposed to be pretty good. Also the Charger R/T and SRT-8 have $3500 on the hood.
  13. HUD, but what else?
  14. An Outlook and also an immaculate 30's Chevy.
  15. For those saying GM never admits mistakes: Lutz admits mistakes all the time.
  16. The Sebring doesn't have much going for it. The interior is okay for a Chrysler, but still below par for the industry. All the Nitros must be going to fleet because I thought it was "selling" pretty well.
  17. I don't like the Spurs either. I really felt the refs missed a ton of calls tonight in the second half. I counted 4 no-calls on the Spurs (whether it be not calling obvious travels or not calling obvious fouls) that led to the Cavs getting 2 less points and the Spurs getting 10 extra points, a 12 point swing.
  18. There's not a ton of room between Acadia and the 'burban. And who says the NG Theta won't be wider?
  19. The Tundra looks like it's made out of Jello. The Silverado must be very stiff, it was getting some serious air!
  20. Theta is the 2-row Lambda, for the most part. As for the miinivans, it seems they are still deciding what to do.
  21. I'm not sure about the S80, CR-V, or Navigator on Ward's list. It's hilarious the Caliber is on there, but maybe it won on functionality, not design/materials.
  22. So I was driving home on a two-lane road, and see a possum crossing the street. I slow down to make sure he gets across my side, and he successfully did. However, there was a car coming in the oncoming lane that he wasn't so fortunate to avoid, and I had the unpleasant experience of hearing its death. I was probably 15 feet from where he was hit as I was driving by. I hear a thud-caa-runch and then a second later a nasty splatter. Not something I ever want to hear again. Gross.
  23. the IQS is stupid, I'm not too worried... remember the H2 was the "worst in initial quality" because it like its gas too much. It would be better to be higher up, but I'd be much more worried if it was the long-term reliability study. This sounds a bit arrogant, but I also think some of the people that buy the top brands (Porsche, Lexus, Honda, MB, Toyota) are usually a bit more snobish when it comes to cars and would refuse to say the car they bought had anything wrong with it, but perhaps I'm wrong. Notice that MB is 5th and Jaguar 6th in the IQS yet their long-term reliability is usually down the tubes.
  24. Assuming you can actually use the corners in the box Either way, it could look significantly better without losing any functionality. The cool features should save it, I think.
