  1. Yeah, and Lexus has had so little success with the RX, a very similar vehicle, I have no idea why Cadillac would want to do something similar The BRX is going to be AWD-only, I'm pretty sure. It's not necessarily a performance-oriented vehicle like the SRX, it's more of a mommy-mobile, which means it will sell much better.
  2. Did you drive an LSx? Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes can't make a pushrod V8 as good as GM can, that's why they don't. If the LSx mills can't compete with the mills from other manufacturers, why is that never talked about in comparos that the current CTS-V is in?
  3. The Enclave is still getting ramped up. Give it 2 more months then see how it's selling. Obviously, when there are 9k orders, it's doing well.
  4. Yet another reason why there's no excuse to not have the Corsa stateside.
  5. If I were going to be selling cars, I'd want to be the sales manager, not the salesman. Perhaps you could try to get a better position somewhere else?
  6. TE is what the "BRX" and "9-4x" are going to be on, also known as "Theta-Epsilon".
  7. Thanks. Currently, no TE Buick is planned anywhere, but there are Deltas (hatch, sedan) planned for China along with an MPV. These could probably be converted for sale in the US pretty easily, but they wouldn't be here until late 09/early '10 at the earliest. I would like to see a LaCrosse coupe (a la Riveria concept) but that isn't in the plan currently.
  8. This is probably the TSX, as siegen said... the profile looks pretty slick, but the rear end is huge and the front, while not ugly, doesn't do anything for me. The front overhand also looks ridiculous in profile:
  9. Don't know if this really needed its own topic, but I couldn't decide where else to put it. Not the greatest picture, but I think the interior looks pretty good here:
  10. Well, if that is the case, I would expect a TE-based X-Over (mini Enclave), perhaps a Delta sedan, and also perhaps an MPV, though I'm doubtful on that. Do you have a link to this article, I couldn't find it?
  11. How is the interior a joke? It's perfect for a driver's car. Very simple, few controls, and uncluttered. Sure, it's not the most futuristic design like the exterior, but it's simple and let's the driver focus on driving. I'd also challenge anyone to find a non-premium material in the whole thing aside from the air vent covers.
  12. So what if they're smaller? They're in the same price range, so why aren't you complaining that they don't have V10s with such amazing technology? Do you even realize the class the CTS-V is in is all about sport? Sure, there's added luxury, but those cars are really 4-door sports cars with nice interiors. If you want the quietness, get the top non-performance model. The RS4 howls. The loudness is only because of the exhaust, not because the engine is unrefined. There are such things as unrefined DOHC engines too, you know. That doesn't make every DOHC engine unrefined, though. Using basic logic, the unrefined V6s don't make the LSx engines unrefined just because they're pushrods If it doesn't matter what they do with the CTS-V to you, why are you complaining about what engine it has? You say you'd take a 370HP DOHC V8 over the 500-600HP OHV V8, but you obviously aren't into the sports-cars-with-four-doors class anyways.
  13. Wow, that interior looks amazingly luxurious. The exterior is ridiculously badass. Amazing car.
  14. Lexus is not dropping a V10 into the IS, BMW is not dropping a turbo V10 into the 3er, and Audi is not dropping a turbo V10 into the RS4. Their V10s are going to cost a hefty amount more than the CTS-V. You've obviously never driven an LSx engine because they aren't harsh, don't have vibrations, and the only noise they make is sweet tailpipe music. Comparing the Malibu engine to an LSx is like comparing a donkey to a thoroughbred. You never hear the reviews of the Corvette/CTS-V/GTO say "the engine is powerful, but harsh and it has many vibrations," so stop spewing BS.
  15. Chrysler is really in a downward spiral, but I think the vans will do okay. They're innovative and have to be nicer than the current ones. However, with Chrysler recently announcing that it will take 10 years to turn their product around, one has to wonder if we'll ever seen good interiors out of a Chrysler brand until then.
  16. If the Z06 had Michelin Pilot Sport Cups it would be faster than the Viper, I think. The stock tries are crap and Pilot Sport Cups are probably the best street-legal tire that one can buy. When C&D did the hot lap comparo the GT3 had PSCs and they said the difference in the Z06 if it had them would be enormous.
  17. I don't see what's so upscale about it. Take away the NAV and it's really rather boring looking.
  18. I don't think the Mazda6 competes with the Malibu. Perhaps slightly, but the Mazda6 has much less bland styling, and certainly is going to drive more sporty. It is also much smaller if it's anything like the old one. It's more of what the G6 should be than what the Malibu is, I think. It's going after a different clientele like the current one than the Camcord customers. That said, it probably is better than the Malibu, but i doubt many people will cross shop them.
  19. Could someone please inform me why the interior is so amazing? I'm not seeing much that's any better than other offerings. It looks like it's straight out of 2000 other than the ambient lighting, which is cool.
  20. I guess it was because I chose the premium luxury collection first, and it goes away after that. If it really is not available with the premium luxury collection, that is ridiculous. You can't get a CTS with the premium luxury collection and all-seasons but you can get a CTS with NAV and summer tires? WTF?
  21. When is the Chinese show? The car goes into production in late 09, so I would expect an introduction in early-mid 2009. It could happen, but there is no solid info that suggests that we are getting a Buick Delta. If GM decides to start producing NA-bound Buick Delta's at the same time they are going to China, I suspect they'd be produced in China. Again, though, I would bet good money that we won't be seeing a Buick Delta here until at least the 2012 MY.
  22. The Chinese Buick on Delta goes on sale in 2009.
  23. What happened to the high performance all season tire package?
  24. I don't know, but I would assume 6. A 7-speed manual seems dumb.
  25. I have mixed emotions... The design is certainly anything but bland, but it is extremely busy. It looks pretty sleek and athletic, but there is just so much going on. I will have to see it in person to really judge the exterior. The profile looks sort of squished, as though the wheelbase needs to be about 3 inches longer. It has some Lexus in it, that's for sure. The interior isn't anything too impressive, and really just looks like a MCE of the current one.
