It looks ok, and the interior looks nice, if pretty much just a 6er interior. I would rather have an S-Class...

Those are not T900s, those are the Lambda MCEs. Notice the location of the shifter. I thought I had saved those, but I can't seem to find them right now. I remember when they were on GM Media and then quickly removed. I forget what you had to search for to find them, but it was different than what the caption actually read, which said Lambdas.

Nice pictures, looks good! I took some pics a week and a half ago or thereabouts of the GTO right after I washed, clayed, washed again, and waxed it, but my mom's camera cord has been lost so she has to get a new one before I can post.

Shouldn't the Sky be tied with the Solstice? No Civic Si is sort of surprising since the Cobalt is on there, but I guess it shows how good the new SS really is.

The hybrid market will continue to increase in size as gas costs rise. More and more buyers will want hybrids. When Toyota started out, they were an afterthought, too, in any part of the market. At least GM has presence in the market. I fail to see why it will be so difficult for GM to crack the market, especially with a good marketing program and an almost guaranteed increase in demand for hybrids.

Yes, that would be fine. I assume this is a spray bottle like Windex or similar? That is what I use, if that's not what you are talking about. Spraying and wiping would probably be ok, I just perfer the sponge method. It's more tedious and time-consuming, but it gives a better end product, I think. Even with the smallest of breeze (you could put the car in the garage, though), the tire shine will blow and miss the tire, and you'll have little idea where all of it went on the car. The sponge method gets rid of any breeze factoring in to the tire shine getting blown all over the car, and it also gets rid of any user error when spraying. I also like to use it because it keeps it off the wheels, if you were to spray and let the excess run. Also, yes you can wax the car. The dealership probably already did unless you didn't have them do so. We detailed every car unless it was sold on a Saturday and the buyer wanted to drive it home that day (there were no detailers there on Saturdays). Otherwise, unless the person just wanted to sign the papers and drive away, all cars were detailed. Usually when they came off the truck we would detail them as well, unless we had lots of other cars to do when the new ones came.

Oh yeah, forgot about the monsoon you were in. The guy in charge (the detailers' "boss") where I worked always had a spray down the tires on all the cars on the lot if it was going to rain because the over spray would get washed off and the tires would look clean afterwards. GMTG: With your car being white diamond as well, you should probably take note of the tire shine issue. Washing the car off, particularly around the wheel wells, is a good idea (I can see if you don't want to wash off the whole thing).

Looks good! Just a word of note in case you didn't know: White paint + tire shine = bad combination. I hope they didn't accidentally get any overspray of the tire shine on your new car, as it can stain the paint if it's on for an extended amount of time. One of the first things I learned about detailing was, "don't spray tire shine on white cars." If I were you, I would wash it around the wheel wells ASAP to make sure it is not on long enough to stain the paint. I do have a solution that I use on my car even though it's not white: take a sponge and cut it to slightly larger than the height of the sidewall of the tire. Spray tire shine on the sponge, and apply to the tire. Make sure the car has plenty of time to sit before you drive it so that the tire shine doesn't spray off your tires while driving. This works far better than just your normal spray. I believe they make something like this, though I like my way better because I can get the exact size I want. It gets the tire shine spread more evenly on the tire and doesn't allow it to run and make some parts shinier than others. Anyways, done with the thread-hijacking, just thought you should know so that your beautiful white paint doesn't possibly get stained. Now time for some 0-60 and 0-100 videos. I want to see just how quick the 3.5 is

Wow, 28.5 is pretty good. I think the highest the GTO's average has ever been is 25.5, which was last night when I left the gas station and decided to see what sort of mileage I could get. I missed almost all the stoplights on the way home and cruised anywhere from 40-50 (35-45mph road). Then I finally hit a red light (final light), then got into the stop sign district (subdivision) and it dropped to 21.0 by the time it was in the garage, ). Anyways, congrats, it's a great color and the G6 is a good-looking coupe.

The Invicta is LWB EPII. I'm not sure where ocnblu read that this is the NG G6?

The Acadia is obviously unneeded with the Traverse coming. GMC is unneeded in the first place, though. Seriously, it is time for it to go. The Chevy LTZ's are nearly as nice as the Denali's and I see no reason why they can't make a Z71-like package but not aimed towards being off-roadsy for Denali customers. The Acadia would have been the only vehicle with a real future ahead of it in GMC's lineup, besides maybe the Sierra.

Wow, $25k for a motorcycle seems rather ridiculous. I'm sure it's great fun and obviously they get great gas mileage, but they're terribly impractical, and that's coming from someone who drives a GTO (which is pretty impractical, too). I can see $11k being worth it to some, but still, it seems a bit expensive. I don't see how a motorcylce can cost more than the cheapest of cars unless it has lots of carbon fiber, expensive brakes, etc.

That bike looks pretty sweet. How much is it supposed to be?
-
JMO, but I would get rid of the pintstripe. It's distracting and I don't see how it really "goes" with any lines on the car.

Gauntlet thrown: Corvette ZR1 laps the 'Ring in 7:26.4
Northstar replied to Intrepidation's topic in Chevrolet
Obviously the guy that drove it must be pretty good round the 'ring, but if they got a professional driver (guy that tested the Z06?) I see no reason why he couldn't get it under 7:20. That's less than a 1.5% improvement in time, if that means anything. -
I would guess GM will keep one of them (Tahoe/Burb) for people who actually need them to tow, etc.
-
Ugh. Why Porsche, why? If they want something entry-level, how about something like the Solstice with a high-power 4cyl?
-
If this is simply the next Escalade (which would make sense if it's 3-4 years away, the Escalade will be 5 or 6 years old then. There's nothing wrong with it being on Lambda, hopefully AWD is standard, though. In a vehicle that big, I don't think it much matters what the drive wheels are, it's not going to handle too great... I think they should keep the Outlook. It's obviously not too expensive to develop and the 3k or so they sell a month isn't much less than the Aura and probably 2k of those would be going to the Pilot or Highlander. May no seem like much, but Saturn is going to take some time to grow.

GM to adjust output at nearly half of its N.A. plants
Northstar replied to Oracle of Delphi's topic in General Motors
Yep, a couple months after production started at Fairfax they decided they needed more capacity, so it went to Orion as well. These moves make sense, but needed to be made a couple months ago. -
Vince is right in this case, though not totally 100%, AFAIK. Buick China gets two EPII sedans, a SWB and a LWB. The SWB actually comes out before the LWB version (which makes sense seeing as how the Insignia comes before the Invicta). Rather than just a different grille though, the SWB Buick gets unique fascias and keeps the same midsection (doors, windows).
-
I'm 6 foot and if the seats are adjusted right, I can sit perfectly comfortably in all three rows at the same time (in other words, if there were 6 of me, a Lambda could haul all 6 of me comfortably).

Cool pics, thanks for posting!

I don't think white is the best color for a magazine review, but it still looks pretty good from some angles. From other angles it looks kind of awkward. Interior looks great.
-
I think you would still have the problem of closing BPG dealerships, or at least having the Chevy dealer have to buy them, but that seems like a reasonable way to not close brands.

The 3k is either or, and if you take the 3k you have to finance through GMAC at a higher rate (I am guess the 0% is the better option). The others you can use with the financing, though. Leases on the SRX aren't too bad right now, either, but it has a low residual so you have to pay a bit more than it's worth, IMO. An capatalized cost of $41600 for 48 months (48k miles) is $610 a month, plus $4600 down. Capatalized cost of $35k gets you to $460/month with $3900 down... doesn't really seem worth it. I saw an ad yesterday for a low mileage lease of only 32.5k miles for 39 months with cap cost of $46k for $549 a month with $0 down, which seems much more reasonable, but obviously you can't drive very much...
