  1. I saw my first '06 Impala tonight that wasn't on a dealer lot.
  2. I hope they are better than the LaCrosse's, because if they are the same as the LaCrosse's then it's going to get creamed by the press. The Avalon has far superior materials to the LaCrosse, and if a $40k Lucerne can't at least MATCH the materials of a $30k Avalon, that's just sad.
  3. I don't really understand the point of the SWB vans, they looked rather dorky and have a lot less cargo carrying capabilities. Do they really sell well in Canada? If the Lambdas are as good as we've heard, I don't think there's any need for the CSVs. Of course Lutz says that we should judge him after the next minivans.
  4. I saw a Volkswagen Carmann Ghia tonight, it looked like the one below but it was red. ocnblu: I'd give you the edit option but I don't know how to change it. Hopefully Fly or Josh know how.
  5. Well the 06 Duramax has 650 lb-ft, which is more than 705Nm, but it also uses the Allison.
  6. Yeah, go ahead and post them here, then I'll transfer them into a different thread next Sunday when the competition ends.
  7. It's interesting, but I don't care much for the front. The side is pretty cool and the back is alright, but that grill is way too big and looks almost like a gaping hole. The hood reminds me of the Aura as does the center-mounted exhuast.
  8. Yes, that is a commercial waiting to happen, and could be a great way to help launch the new Saturns (namely Aura, Sky, and Outlook). All three compete with a Honda (Accord, S2000, and Pilot) and I'm sure some people will cross shop them.
  9. Well they already did it on the HDs a year earlier. Maybe they got good feedback from customers and decided to do it for the 1500s to keep sales up for the last year of the model.
  10. I agree the materials need to be a step up from where they are. Hopefully the Lucerne addresses this problem. It would appear that the Lucerne at least addresses the door panels needing to be softer to the touch, as it appears that it has leather on the door panels (at least on the upper-level models). You can barely see the stiching in the leather in this pic:
  11. I've messed around in the Admin CP a lot trying to see if I could change my join date and I can't. I can change other info like profile info and member's name and post count but for some reason the join dated seems to be locked.
  12. Hmm, it should have NAV, maybe it just isn't available at the start of production. The Lucerne press release says it has DVD Nav optional.
  13. I saw a TL commercial today saying it had this and that and 270HP. Apparantly Acura is still advertising the old numbers even though it's been rated lower than what the are advertising.
  14. Hmm, I hadn't thought of that, but with the talk of the quad coupe doors on the GTO, or a version of it, they probably will continue (of course I'm just guessing, I don't know any inside info). AH-HA would know better than me if quad doors will continue. What I was saying about the Inisignia's design is simply the hatchback, I remember hearing that Saturn had "a hot 5-door hatch" to replace the ION, and the Insignia is a hatch.
  15. I'm think the ION = small Aura with a few cues thrown in from the Insignia along with the Insignia's hatch design.
  16. Interesting, I thought the SS would stay the same too, but apparantly not. It does look pretty like that, though. My dealer has a full stock of '06s, I was pleasantly surprised to see they had so many already. I just noticed this pic, looks sweet:
  17. Stoopbuick - did your customers order them without even seeing them in person? Which engine/trim did they order or ask for?
  18. They claimed we caused the server we were on the crash to many times, and that we had to "make changes to correct the problem" but never told us what exactly we needed to change.
  19. $28k seems like a good price until you learn that it comes with the 3.7L standard (will that even move it?) The only model actually worth buying is with the Hemi, and that starts at $40k.
  20. Jeep Commander sticker starts at $27,985 High-trim Limited version with Hemi V-8 priced at $40,395 By Dale Jewett Automotive News / August 19, 2005 DETROIT -- The 2006 Jeep Commander, an SUV that is larger than the Grand Cherokee and shares its platform and assembly plant, will carry a base price of $27,985, the Chrysler group said Friday. Production of the Commander started in late July at the Chrysler group's Jefferson North assembly plant here. Exterior styling of the Commander is patterned on the original Jeep Cherokee. The base two-wheel-drive Commander is powered by a 210-hp, 3.7-liter V-6 engine. All Commander prices include $695 shipping. Adding four-wheel drive to the base Commander bumps the price to $29,985. Standard equipment on all Commanders includes three rows of seats, side-curtain airbags, stability control and a rear object detection system. The higher Limited trim level is equipped with a 4.7-liter V-8 engine that makes 235 hp. Other changes for the Limited trim level include a chrome grille, sunroof, adjustable pedals and Sirius satellite radio with one year of service. A two-wheel-drive Limited has a sticker price of $36,280. Adding four-wheel drive bumps the sticker price to $38,900. The 5.7-liter V-8 Hemi, which makes 330 hp, is an option on Limited models. The Quadra-Drive II four-wheel-drive system is bundled with the 5.7-liter V-8. Command Limited models with that option package have a sticker price of $40,395.
  21. You mean the old Snitz boards? Those are long gone. We lost those quite a while ago unfortunately.
  22. I did read the article, I was just guessing on the Sprinter and the 300 convert or if there really is a Chrysler version of the Nitro. If there is a Chrysler Nitro, then it's not called the Aspen because that's the Chrysler Durango.
  23. Basically just report on interior quality. Are there any materials that felt hard when you thought they should be soft?
  24. The old host shut us down without warning.
