  1. Oldsmobile Recon concept.
  2. It is an Oldsmobile, though it's not called the Aurora. Does anyone know the name?
  3. I'm not sure whether this will be hard or not, but here it is.
  4. Yep, it's the Frogster from Frankfurt 2001.
  5. This is much more recent than the others. I debadged it so it wouldn't make it too easy.
  6. Yep, 1956 Buick Centurion concept.
  7. Nope, not the Myst.
  8. Yes, I'm going crazy with these
  9. Yep, Harley got it. It's the 1970 Holden GTR-X concept.

  12. Welcome to Choppin' Competition 2! Your task is to chop the photo provided below in any way you want. Change the wheels, background, etc. Please resize your chop to 768 x 488 pixels. All entries should be submitted by Saturday, September 3rd, as no entries will be excepted after 12:01 AM EST on Sunday, Septemeber 4th. The picture to chop is below (click thumbnail for larger image): For anyone who doesn't want the pic that big can use this pic that is about 1/3 the size (click thumbnail for larger image):
  13. That's what's going to happen. As soon as this comp ends I will begin a new one, which will end at 12:01 AM EST next Sunday (I'll try to make it more clear that your entries have to be in by the end of Saturday), and voting will also begin this Sunday and end Tuesday or Wednesday (we'll see how many people vote by Tuesday). Basically comps will be run from Sunday-Sunday, and voting will be Sunday-Tuesday/Wednesday. I made this one longer because I wanted to get on the Sunday-Sunday schedule and since the site came back up when it did, I decided to just make this comp longer.
  14. God, that thing is horrible. Bently should introduce a streched Flying Spur and kill both this and the Maybach.
  15. We'll discuss changing it back in the mod forum. I'm going to add a poll to this to see what everyone likes, the old way or the new way.
  16. Sorry, I'll try to make it more clear next time... I'm trying to keep the choppin' comps on a weekly schedule and we've had more than a week for this one so far (you will have had 10 days to do the chop).
  17. For some reason it wouldn't let me post the number of photos I had in one post, so here is the rest: The Chevy dealership also had a base (no options at all) 2006 Malibu. It doesn't look great (still very bland) but it is better than the 04-05 front end. They also had a 06 TB, looks pretty good: 06 Silverado in a cool color I thought (it was sold, I think): And finally, the 06 SRX interior... basically the same as the 06 CTS.
  18. So I went out to the dealers tonight to see what new models they had and took some pics of them. Unfortunately the lighting is always really bright at car dealerships at night so some of the pics turned out bad because of it, so I apologize for the poor quality of some of the pics (I actually deleted probably half of them because some were so bad). Anyways, first up was the G6 coupe. It looked better than I was expecting, and I actually quite liked the rear. The rearseat legroom looked very good for a coupe, and the interior looked much better with the new steering wheel. I think a GTP with the 18s would be quite a looker. Here is perhaps my favorite pic, I wasn't expecting the flash to creat the effect of it being really dark with the lights of the G6 illuminated. After the G6 came the HHR. They had a red one too (2LT with chromes) but it was right next to this really bright light and all the pics were full of glare. Anyways, the one here is a 1LT and I noticed it didn't have foglights like the 2LT.
  19. LOL, that was pretty funny. Rather than sprinkling salt on them, you should have dropped a little acid on them... though I doubt you just have acid sitting around your house... Freshman year in Biology we were doing some lab assignment with earth worms, and we were doing something with acid too. Anyways, one kid decided to drop a little bit of acid on a worm; it went totally crazy, squirming all over and flopping around. After it got over it it had a big red bump on it.

    Hot or Not?

    Nothing too special.
  21. I saw a bunch of stuff tonight at dealers which I took pics of - G6 GT Coupe, 06 Malibu (base w/no options), 06 TB, 06 VUE, and another new HHR. I also saw an 06 SRX with some new wheels that I took a couple pics of. I'll start a new thread in a little while with the pics.
  22. I think one thing that may have hurt the Miata was that they never updated the damn thing. My uncle has a '92, and he was never interested in getting a new one because he said they look almost like the one he already has. He said he's looked at the Solstice on the internet and he likes it pretty well.
  23. Well, according to this article, GM will have 14 crossovers by 2009. Currently GM only has the Torrent, HHR, SRX, Rendezvous, Equinox, and Vue, so that leaves 8 more to come; three of those are Lambdas, so that leaves 5 more. If I remember correctly (for some reason I can't find the thread on Google cached pages), Hogans Heros said that GMC would get a sub-Theta, as would Chevy and Saturn (to slot below Equinox and VUE), and that Cadillac would get the BRX and Buick a smaller-than-Lambda crossover. That makes 14, but by this time the Torrent will have come and gone, leaving 13. I believe the 9-6X will make 14 though.
