  1. Welcome to voting for Choppin' Competition 3! Please note that there are two posts that contain entries (1st post and 2nd post). If you entered the competition, you MUST vote. Artists should also not vote for themselves. Artists who do not vote or vote for themsleves will be assessed a 6 point penalty. Here is how voting will work: Because we have more entries this time, you are allowed 3 votes. 1st place will get 3 points, 2nd place will get 2 points, and 3rd place will get 1 point. Choppers we're given a choice of two pictures to chop this time, so you should vote on creativity and overall execution. I think many people will like the front view better, but if you think a Chopper did an excellent job on the rear view, you should probably vote for that chop. Voting will end when I get home from school on Wedensday.   2. Anyone else watching? So far Vince Young and Texas are dominating, but OSU just had a really good punt return and have great field position. I think this game could be an instant classic.

  6. Looks good Bimmer. Only thing is you forgot to delete the passenger-side B-pillar. The headlights are actually pretty similar to mine, but not exactly the same. Is the grille from the Imaj?
  7. I guess you didn't say they should make a Pontiac Kappa 3-Series, but I was just giving an example of why you shouldn't engineer a vehicle to be perfect unless it's for Cadillac (or Buick maybe) and can demand the price you need to pay off your investment.
  8. I doubt they really spent that much on the XUV. I'm guessing they did spend quite a bit on the SSR though. They would have had to have spent quite a bit on the Nomad as well.
  9. Maybe if Buick gets a premium Theta they'll use the Rendezvous name on it. I think the Lambda will be a bit bigger than the current Rendezvous.
  10. I think GM should definetly develop AWD for the whole Delta line. A Cobalt with AWD and a turbo 275hp Ecotec would kick ass. However, I think the biggest advantage to have AWD Delta would be on the HHR. I'm sure lots of people would like to have AWD on it. That's a lame excuse for not giving it AWD. Just because it's not the best at everything doesn't mean it can't be one of the few compact cars to offer AWD.

The DX coupe starts at $14,910 and the DX sedan starts at $15,110. Prices include the shipping charge. The Civic went on sale Friday, Sept. 9. Standard on all trim levels are side curtain airbags, antilock brakes and a telescoping steering wheel. Also standard is a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 140 hp. The LX trim level starts at $16,860 for the coupe and $17,060 for the sedan. The EX trim level starts at $18,810 for the coupe and sedan. Prices will be announced later for the Civic hybrid, which goes on sale in October, and the high-performance Si, which goes on sale in December.
  12. No, the CSVs are like the only new things that don't have it. The CTS has it, and it's pretty old. The Malibu has it, as does the GP which is also pretty old.

It doesn't matter if the public loves you for making a better car; there's no need to engineer a Pontiac Kappa to be equal to the BMW 3-Series because no one is going to pay you enough money to pay off the investment you made to make it so good. That's why the CTS costs what it costs. It is the 3-Series' equal from GM(or at least the closest GM has to a 3er). A Pontiac Kappa would be in the same spirit as the 3-Series, but I fail to see why it would make good business sense to engineer to where you have to charge $30k for it, because no one's going to buy one over the BMW.

  16. You can tell what the front looks like to some degree. From what I can tell, it looks pretty good. I personally feel the cladding on the side of the Escalade wasn't/isn't too classy. With Caddy bringing the Escalade more upscale with the improved interior, I think getting good of the cladding is a good move.
  17. I think the new Saturn is much improved. So what if the new products aren't quite as unique, at least they'll be pretty close, if not class-leading products. GM is in the business to make money, and so far Saturn has only lost GM billions. If Saturn wouldn't have changed, it would have been axed in a few years, I feel. Saturn's still going to have the same dealership experience, but they'll finally have desireable products.

  21. That would be a total waste of engineering efforts and development time. Why engineer something to be perfect when you aren't planning on making it perfect in the first place? It just takes more time to get it to market and costs more to develop. GM should make the most perfect vehicles it can at the price of the vehicle. If the vehicle is $20k, it should be as perfect as is humanly possibly at the price point.

  24. Umm Lambda is an architecture, so therefore it has nothing to do with designing the Equinox. evok was saying that the Lambda (Saturn Outlook) probably gives a good look at what the Theta (next VUE) will look like.
  25. Looks like a Mazda5 to me. I kind of doubt this would ever come stateside considering how poorly the first-gen Oddysey did, and this is basically the same concept.
