The Civic does look better in the Euro-spec, but it's still not great. I just noticed how HUGE those mirrors are on the Civic pictured; they look huge at least.
  2. Which is exactly why we don't need a version of the Cobalt in the states badged as a Pontiac. I'd rather see Pontiac get nothing in the segment then something that has no added sportiness or excitement to it. They might as well start trying to fix the image now rather than continuing to tarnish it.
  3. I just noticed this, but there are a couple pretty big gaps in the interior, and the door panels don't match up with the dash (colors of materials). If this was the Cobalt interior it'd be taking crap for that.
  4. We turned them off in the lounge to get rid of some of the useless posting. I realize I may have a lot of posts and whatnot, so this may sound weird coming from me, but if you're that worried about your post count you're not here for the right reason. We're not here to see how many posts someone can accumulate or needlessly up our counts, we're here to discuss cars.
  5. According to Autonews, 2244 Solstice have been built. I'm not sure if that includes pre-production runs or not, but that couldn't have been more than 100 or so I would assume. 1004 Solstice's were made in August, and 183 were made last week. Autonews updates their production PDF every Friday, so they should have Solstice production posted for this week on Friday.
  6. Folding hartops look fine on most 2-seat roadsters. It's when you get into 2+2 coupes that they look odd.
  7. It's probably really light and fun to drive, but it looks terrible. For some reason no Toyota can seem to look good these days.
  8. I can see the King of the Hill comparos already featuring the Z06, Viper SRT-10 coupe, and GT. Too bad we didn't get any numbers from this review, as it'd be interesting how it's specs compare to the Z06's.
  9. The Civic actually looks like a combination of the sedan's grille and coupes headlights to me. The interior's design is just horrible, as is the exterior design. If it was a GM it'd be getting bashed to hell. The interior is a mismatch of a bunch of colors and looks way too busy for an economy car, and there's not a hint of inspiration in the exterior design.
  10. Wouldn't the BLS start at like $30k anyways since its basically a 9-3? I don't see the point of having it and the CTS. Just make the next CTS have AWD for the snowbelt states and it covers the whole segment. Cadillac doesn't need two similar cars; I'd rather see them add a coupe and convert variant to the CTS or STS and work on the ULS.
  11. Nope, we're starting over on posts counts.
  12. Hmm, that is interesting. The rear door cutlines are different in them too. The dark gray one just goes into the wheel well whereas the silver one around it.
  13. Yeah, that's what MT got. And like you said in another thread with the Z06's tires being runflats they probably aren't the best. I'm guessing this has better tires and gets better times because of it.
  14. If the museum is owned by GM then they can close it at any time they want. The difference is Toyota didn't own it, and apparantly didn't make any sort of warning to tourists that it would be closed.
  15. Agreed. I was actually wondering if maybe they just didn't put the spare on for the show vehicle or something to make it look better.
  16. Here are some more pics from Autoweek (from the show):
  17. The new RAV4 really isn't that big, it just looks big. It only grew 5.7 inches. Some info and pics from Autonews: Pics:
  18. Dealer orders don't mean that they've actually sold them, like on the Solstice, right? I'm not predicting that the SportCombi will be that big of a hit, but maybe there is a lot of demand from Saab traditionalists that want a hatch/wagon version of the 9-3.
  19. Cool color schemes and the seats look sweet, but I don't care much for the design. I think I'd take the Sky interior over this.
  20. Ehh, I don't think I'd want a two-tone BMW. BMWs should be flashy without having to resort wild color schemes and such.
  21. That's a concept? That's the blandest concept I've ever seen.
  22. I doubt they'll ever admit Lutz was right. They'll still insist that it's just a PT Crusier in Chevy clothes, and that it just rode on the success of the PT. In Autoweek they had some little write up of probably 6 sentences. They mentioned something about it being a "PT knockoff" three times; it's ok to say it once, but how about writing about the good/bad things about it rather than "oh, by the way, it's a PT knockoff" three times in a VERY short write-up.
  23. It may look similar, but it's much better done and doesn't look offensive like the BMWs.
  24. I would expect Chrysler to buy a 6-speed manual for the Challenger because the demand will definetly be there. It's unexceptable that in a performance vehicle a stick isn't at least offered. They could buy a few thousand 6-speed manuals from a supplier and make them available in the SRTs.
  25. They probably only check on those four because they all have to do with safety. If the engine is going to blow, you're in trouble, if the tranny's going to drop at 80MPH on the highway, you're in trouble unless you can get out of the way easily. If the airbag goes off while driving, you could have a bad wreck, and if the ABS fails then some people might have trouble stopping in emergencies.
