  1. Is it just me, or does the Concept X look like a photoshop of whatever concept they had at Frankfurt? The spoiler looks fake, and the red paint on the grill doesn't look real at all; it also looks like they missed a couple little spots where red should be, and put red where it shouldn't be (on the asphalt) when they were doing the chop.
  2. Thanks for the info! Did you get to see the interiors? Did the Escalade have granite and also was the Yukon's different from the Tahoe's? Finally, was the rear of the Escalade much different than the Tahoe's? In the spy pic it looked similar but it was black so it was hard to tell.
  3. Is the game for all systems or just some? I might look into the Xbox one if it's on Xbox.
  4. Umm, so what? The Viper SRT-10 coupe costs $90k. For that price I can get TWO regular Vettes. Or, I could buy a Z06 and kick the Viper's ass on track days and buy a GTO for everyday driving, and I'd only be spending $5k more than a Viper. To each his own though. Both are badass cars, and both will smoke almost anything out there. When we see Z06 vs. SRT-10 Coupe vs. Ford GT, we'll see who's the real champ.
  5. Oh... my... God. That's so sad.
  6. Make sure your chop is 768 pixels wide so you're sure to get your bonus point.
  7. The Nov. MT has the Viper SRT-10 in it (full test). I didn't read much of it as I don't really have time right now, but here's the performance numbers: 0-60: 4.2s 1/4 Mile: 12.2s @ 118.0 mph 600-foot slalom: 69.5 mph (avg) Lateral acceleration: .94g MT figure 8: 24.6s @ .79g (avg) I can't find the numbers for the Z06 test from MT, but I believe it was 0-60 in 3.5s and 1/4 mile in 11.7 @ 125 mph. If anyone could find the other stuff (I can't find my issue) it'd be appreciated.
  8. Voting is now closed. I'll post the results tomorrow hopefully.
  9. I think the hood is too short to fit the V12 under the hood of the XLR. Also MT talked about GM having to make the hood longer in order to fit the V12, but I don't know if there's any truth in that.
  10. Originally we were waiting because of bandwidth concerns, but now it appears the pic cannot be posted because GM could take legal action against C&G.
  11. I'm surprised (and happy at the same time) that the Avalanche has a different front end. Would you say the Tahoe or Avalanche front end was better?
  12. Ugh, that's pretty bad. The interior is actually pretty nice though, but I'll still take the new Aveo over it.
  13. Yeah, but I'm guessing they re-tuned it after they did that. Or, maybe you can underrated an engine if you want to. I suppose the test could have said 547HP or something and they decided they'd just say 505HP for whatever reason.
  14. I'm not sure what GM could do, but it would be pretty bad if they did try to do something to the site because of the pic. I think it's best if it's not posted now.
  15. From page 26 in the Nov. MT: "... A V8 is also reportedly on the agenda for the Pontiac Solstice. We've been assured by a senior GM exec that a V8 will fit between the rails. Sounds like a recipe for a 21st-century Cobra."
  16. From page 22 in the new MT: "Chevrolet's new 7.0-liter Corvette Z06 makes more than the advertised 505 horsepower... much more. Rumor is it makes up to 550horses, which would explain the astonishing performance at the Nurburgring's Nordschliefe." Then they wrote something about how it would make the Blue Devil pointless, but I didn't think that BS was worth posting.
  17. 4.2s is rediculous. C&D got 3.7s and the old Z06 got 4.1 or 4.0 quite a few times.
  18. That is a horrible chop of the Solstice. Yuck.
  19. Saw a silver M3 accelerating pretty quickly today. Sounded schweet.
  20. Is this an official rendering from VW or a photoshop? Do you have any info? It looks like a chop of the 2004 (?) Concept R.
  21. The exterior was actually pretty good for the time. Too bad the interior (like a lot of stuff from then) was such shit.
  22. I think they'll reach their production capacity, or at least come close to it, if a certain concept vehicle debuting at NAIAS is produced http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons//AH-HA_wink.gif
  23. By Laura Clark Geist Automotive News / September 26, 2005 DETROIT -- Mitsubishi Motors North America said the new 2006 Raider pickup will sell for a base price of $19,825. The Raider, which went on sale Friday, Sept. 23, comes in three models: the base LS, the DuroCross and the XLS. The price of the LS two-wheel-drive extended cab model with manual transmission and a 3.7-liter V-6 engine begins at $19,825. The price of the DuroCross two-wheel drive, extended cab model equipped with an automatic transmission and a 4.7-liter V-8 begins at $26,085. The XLS four-door model with the 4.7-liter V-8 and automatic begins at $31,320. The high-output audio package, including a 508-watt premium audio system and six months of Sirius satellite radio, is available for $1,845. All prices include shipping.
  24. Evoke.
  25. I think a Trans Am (not the Firebird name) would make a good GTO replacement actually. If the GTO isn't going to be here for a long time (which if it's going to be global it seems like it would be as Holden just started Monaro work I believe) then it might make sense to make a Trans Am for Pontiac and basically make it V8-only and on the Camaro's platform. Basically it would be an uplevel Camaro. Also, is the wagon the Nomad?
