  1. Does it look anything like what 91z4me posted?
  2. I wouldn't worry about the clutch. It has to be the same transmission as found in the Solstice, and no reviews have complained about it.
  3. I think the development cost for Kappa was pretty cheap, like $250 million because it was developed so much on computers. They won't make much money, but unlike lots of niche vehicles, I think they will at least pull even by the time it's all said and done.
  4. Wasn't the concept's color combo confirmed like a long time ago that it would be available in the production version? That would stop any complaining or bickering about "it won't look as good without the cool colors."
  5. We only had two days of flurries, but none of it stuck, so it doesn't really count.
  6. Oh, it looked black to me. Maybe my monitor is crappy. Maybe it will look better in person, but I honestly couldn't tell that that was blue until you pointed it out. I also didn't understand why empowah said it was Blue/Shale, but now I do. I think I should get my eyes checked
  7. I think the interior looks cheap because the black steering wheel looks totally out of place. I saw my first Lucerne today, but I only saw it for about 10 seconds before it turned. It was a Sharkskin CXS and looked REALLY good. Much better than I had anticipated. I would actually consider buying one if I was in the market for/wanted a big car. I can't say I would really consider buying a Buick over another comparable GM vehicle other than the Lucerne.
  8. Sounds like a decent idea to me. It'd be good to have them all in one place, but maybe some BMW, M-B, Audi, Lexus, etc., lovers who wouldn't normally go over to the GM section just to check out Cadillac will this year because it will be close to the others I listed.
  9. The new Monte has a very good power-to-weight ratio. GM's come a long way since taging a N/A 3800 Monte Carlo an SS.
  10. I'm surprised the A3 made it, and I'm also a little surprised the TSX made it since it seems to be getting a little old.
  11. The top is dual-hindged I believe, and opens like a regular trunk when the top is up I'm pretty sure.
  12. I thought the Gallardo would be faster too, but maybe it doesn't have as high of a top speed. That's one badass cop car.
  13. Impala sales were down because of reduced fleet sales. Retail sales were up 6% vs. last year, and I'm guessing the lots weren't full for the whole month (only 32 days of supply or 27.5k units at the beginning of the month according to Autonews).
  14. Just because it's not necessary in the V8 doesn't mean it's not needed in the V6s. Even if it's not necessary, I don't think it's really an excuse for not having one when competitors have had them for a long time.
  15. Do you homework before you post. Almost none of GM's new products are Lutz, with the only totally Lutz vehicle being the Solstice, a smash hit. The GMT900s have Lutz details, and they appear to be kick ass. We'll see what the Lambdas and other vehicles and NAIAS look like, then we'll see if all these problems are because of Lutz.
  16. The Impala is a very good product with a few rough edges, and it deserves to get a good review. If GM puts out good products then the media will give them good reviews, because even if they don't people will still buy them in droves with little or no incentives and the media will look dumb. As for the back seat, it's probably my least favorite part of the car. It's not small, but I'd much perfer the back seat in my dad's MAXX, which over 10 inches shorter.

It looks a little longer than the current one, which I guess makes sense because the new Tahoe is a little longer than the current one. I'm anxious to see the Avalanche since it's supposed to have a more aggressive face.
  19. The Solstice has 245s, but I'm guessing you could put wider tires on it if you wanted to.
  20. Stupid GM not getting it's new cars out to the coasts quickly. With the Lucerne I'm not sure it would really matter though since I can't see a lot of Californians buying a Lucerne.
  21. For $20k I would probably get a 2004 GTO, but the G35 isn't a bad choice.
  22. You might have to do some work to get it to hook up right, but I'm sure it can be done.
  23. 0-60 in 3.9s? That's amazingly fast for a car of this era even if it was a ringer.
  24. I don't like "Super" or "Reserve." How many car companies actually use names to denote trims anymore? I guess Toyota and others use Limited, but that sounds a lot better than "Super" or "Reserve." Super V8 or something along those lines would work okay, but I still don't know about "Reserve" it sounds too much like someone who sits on the bench in sports to me.
  25. Umm, unless the LS2 adds a 400 lbs of weight, the Solstice has a better power to weight ratio than the Vette.
