You can't tell a whole lot from that one (dark) picture, but it reminds me more of the RL than the Camry. The interior looks nice, but again, you can't tell much from that tiny pic.

Thanks for posting. Doesn't May 8 seem rather early for the 2007 CTS? I don't think the new one comes until 2008MY
-
Yes, but how many people actually realize this? I doubt many people in the general public actually know Cadillac and Buick are more reliable than Toyota.
-
I've seen two GTOs in the past two days. Normally, I see about one per month.
-
Wow, that's pretty bad. Did anyone notice the Camaro behind it?
-
I think Cadillac only aimed to sell 3500 XLRs a year, or something around that figure. That's only about 300 a month, so that's why you see so many more SLs.

Good point, but it seems like the truck market is the opposite of the car market. 20 or so years ago the small truck market was owned by the Japanese. Now, it's probably about 60/40 with the Americans ahead. Of course there is a lot for the Big 3 to lose in the big truck market, but I don't want to just hand over all of GM's truck buyers without seeing GM's new entries first. The main loyal buyers I could see the Tundra taking is that of the Ram. The F-150 is still a very good truck, and the GMT900s no doubt will be good (I just want to see if they're better than the Tundra), so I don't see a reason for Ford or GM loyalists to jump ship when their products will be very good anyways.

If only GM would take that kind of aim at Toyota's bread and butter (Camry, Corolla) and fight back. Maybe it will take more market share loss for them to wake up and do something about it.

I'll try to take off the sticker sometime. My dad doesn't even want to discuss any mods right now, lol. If I could get some mods I'd check out shipping on Holden wheels from AU (found a sweet set of 18s with tires for only $1100 USD!). I might look into a pinstripe, but the line running down the side kind of acts as one. I'd also like to look into getting some OEM '06 taillights. Unless I want to increase the performance (which I don't really have a need to) then I probably wouldn't get an exhaust system since it already sounds great. My won't let me take off the front plate since it's the law to have one.

The Seahawks looked pretty dominate over Carolina. I was gone for most of the Pittsburgh game, so I didn't get to see much of it. I'd pick the Seahawks because I think they're offensive line is the best in the NFL, especially the left side, they totally dominate their opponets.

Yeah, I hate that thing. My dad was like "but if you can't get it all to come off then it will look worse"

Well, I'm sure most of you read my thread in the lounge, but we picked her up on Friday, and I just went through the car wash and took some pics and couple hours ago. Anyways, here are the pics: And my best NOS impersonation :

There's no way an interceptor beats a GTO in a drag, much less a turbo one. Turbo GTO's can easily break into the 10s, and I don't think there's any interceptor that can do that.

Umm, rear camera, nav, and pretty much everything available on the Tahoe is available on the Avalanche. I don't know where you got your specs from, but they're incorrect.
-
Umm, that's pretty damn cheap. I was expecting it to be over $500k.

To answer some questions: yes, it's an '04, and it's silver. I'm not sure how my dad finally decided to buy it, but I had been working on him for a while. I guess since my sister is going to need to drive the Alero (the LSS is not always too reliable anymore) in not too long anyways that he decided to buy such a low-mileage used car in great condition now rather than wait and try to find something later and not necessarily be able to find something in such good condition. We have five cars and four drivers now, so that means we have "fleet insurance" I guess. Anyways, I'm not listed as the primary driver, so it only cost $700 to insure for a year. We have Metlife insurance if anyone wondered. No, the other one I was looking at was a lease take-over, but this one we actually bought outright so we don't have to give it back. EDIT: Forgot to mention that I didn't have a chance to take pics until it was dark out, but I promise to get some tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if the front is different from the Tahoe?

Sorry BV, but you want approve, it's an auto. My dad wouldn't let me get a manual because then if my mom or sister needed to drive it they wouldn't be able too. When I'm out on my own I'll definetly get a manual. As of right now I don't really have any plans for it, but I might make a few mods in the future. I was thinking about trying to find some Holden wheels if they weren't too expensive (found an Austrailian site with some, but they didn't have the prices - you had to contact them) but I think it should. I'll hopefully have pics tomorrow, and I might wash it since it got a bit dirty on the ride home.

Happy Birthday NOS! Have fun!

Last night I went to bed pretty excited, knowing I'd be getting up somewhat early to go get my GTO. So I wake up at 7:30, have breakfast, eat, etc., then wait around for a while for my mom to get ready. My dad took my brother to school (I had finals this week so no school today) and was at work waiting for us to come pick him up. Anyways, the dealership is about an hour away and we get there at about 9:45. We sign all the papers and whatnot, and then we were looking into extended warranties, and we bought one, but the guy messed up and told us it was 6 days from today when it was actually 6 days from the first sale date. He caught his mistake before he had us sign the papers for the warranty, so he said he'd see what he could do to get us what we wanted while we went and looked at the GTO and went over all the radio controls and stuff. Anyways, while we're looking at all the stuff, we notice the check engine light comes on. This is at about 11:00, so we take it to the service department so they can fix it. While they did that, we got a different warranty with the guy that messed up and got some lunch while we waited on the car. It was about 11:40 by the time we got back to lunch, and they said the spark plugs needed to be changed, and that they wouldn't be done until 2:00. I had a basketball walk through at 1:00, so my mom and I had to leave to go to that while my dad stayed and waited for the GTO. After they had fixed the spark plugs, they discovered that someone had put in the battery incorrectly, so that took some more time and the car never got done until 3:30. Anyways, my dad finally got home with it at about 4:30, so I got to take it out for a short drive before I had to get ready to go to my baskteball game. We were supposed to get snow snow (just got rain though), so my dad didn't want me to drive it to the game, so I had to take the Alero. Anyways, we were playing our biggest rival and ended up winning by six (I had 15 points ), so it was a nice way to end the day on a high note. Things didn't go as planned, but I still got the GTO and we beat our rival in basketball. Tomorrow is supposed to be relatively nice, so I should be able to take pics and actually drive the car somewhere.

Looks like a good effort for Toyota. Certainly better than the Titan. It should be interesting to see how the Silverado and Sierra compare.
-
Yes. I just picked up my GTO today (more on that later).
-
Z71s sell well around here too. Since the changes that the Z71s previously got are already incorporated into the new design, obviously there isn't as much to change.
-
Don't know if anyone has seen these, but I thought I'd post them. Here's one of the front that looks like it's from relatively early on: I think I like the headlights here better. Early sketch of the rear: It seems to be a little more round in all areas. Later one of the rear: I'm guessing the production rear will get something similar for the exhuast, and also notice it has a bumper.

That's not a bad idea, but I think a SWB version of one of the other Lambdas might make more sense. Otherwise you could have a SWB Enclave and at the same dealership an Acadia with a useable third row for the same price.
