  1. Oh, I forgot that the Escalade has two slots. You are correct. The Tahoe is what I described before. I would think you should be able to watch the movie while it park in the Escalade as well.
  2. The LS7 was originally rumored (or was) a 6.4L with 3 valve per cylinder technology and a higher compression ratio I believe, but they ended up going with the 7L 2 vavle design. The 6.2 could be the LS3, though I doubt it's the exact engine. That was shown in the Colorado Cruz with I believe 450HP.
  3. There is no slot in the rear for DVDs. You simply put all CDs/DVDs/discs for NAV in the slot on the dash. If the vehicle is in park then it displays the movie on both screens. Also, this doesn't hurt the functionality of the vehicle. You can listen to a CD in the front and play a DVD in the back at the same time.
  4. I was thoroughly impressed with the Lucerne CXS w/black interior I sat in at the auto show. I felt the materials were on par with the Avalon's, and the layout and controls were much better (the Avalon interior is just dumb with its doors and weird buttons). I also got to sit in the new ES (surprisingly) and I was not in the least bit impressed. The IS has a much better interior, and I'd say the materials inside the old ES are, in most cases, better. The interior wasn't bad in the ES, but I wasn't impressed with the door panels (Lucerne had more soft materials in places you touch -- go to the preview site at Lexus for the ES and look at the door panel; sure, it has some leather, but it's beneath where you would actually rest your arm so you would never touch it, the Lucerne on the other hand actually has nice leather where you would rest your arm), and the layout was really rather boring. The ES is definetly the worst of all the Lexus models.
  5. A model under the H3 would do well, but I don't see the need to go beyond an H4. Maybe one of the models is just the H3T.
  6. Umm, there's nothing wrong with making a both FWD, RWD, and AWD compatible. V8s for the Lambdas would do wonders for their image and if a DTS/Lucerne type vehicle is to stay around it could use a nice, new V8.
  7. Does it have NOS or something? If it has 350 HP then 10.2 is insanely fast. Also 115MPH is a really slow trap speed for 10.2. The Z06 doesn't break 11 and is at 125MPH.
  8. Where does it say it beat them for the year? The article doesn't even have the word 'Toyota' in it. There is an article saying Toyota sold more retail sales than the other two in January 2006, but no where does it say it beat them for all of 2005. Usually Ford and GM sell a lot fewer vehicles in January and Febuary than they do in most other months, while Toyota doesn't seem to have as big as a drop off in sales. I would expect that Chevy and Ford will sell more retail sales in other months than Toyota will based on the fact that they have such a big drop off in January and Febuary vs. other months.
  9. The Aura would just replace the Malibu, I would think. I think the dealers will shut up when Saturn makes money and allows other divisions to get better products because of it. I don't see why Buick and Pontiac dealers are bitching. In the last three years Pontiac has gotten: G6 (sedan, coupe, and convert coming) SV6 (granted it sucks) GTO Solstice And shortly they will get the G5 Buick has gotten the LaCrosse and Lucerne, and are soon to get the Enclave, which will give them a pretty fresh lineup.
  10. That's odd. At the autoshow yesterday yesterday they said it would be in showrooms as a production model in about 18 months.
  11. That's pretty cool. After seeing it in person yesterday and today, I'd say the only thing that needs tweaking is the front, and the only thing it needs is to have the headlights not recessed so far. You shouldn't have to bend over to see more than half of the headlight.
  12. I believe Josh still is going to pay for the site. Fly is just the head admin now.
  13. Did they say it would be an 08 MY or here in 08?
  14. Personally, I think the Nomad concept's interior with a few modifications would be perfect for the Camaro: It could use a more conventional radio setup, but I think it's a great base and much better than the concept.
  15. So, if this is a test mule for the next-gen CTS, how close is the next-gen to being here? 12-15 months?
  16. Interesting. It reminds me of the T2X concept.
  17. I went to the dealer the other day and talked with my salesman, and it sounds like the Tahoes would be selling better if the Z71 package was here already. He said he had a few customers who really liked it but are waiting for the Z71 to buy one.
  18. Edmunds doesn't have the correct powertrains listed, but guionM is saying the Camaro team has the powertrains selected, and don't have to worry about that part of the project anymore.

    2010 Camaro!

  20. Whoops, my bad. I guess I overlooked that part (just skimmed it over), but it says it makes 481HP in the CLK63. The 514 is a significant jump from 469, but if the CLS63 only had 481HP then it's rather useless, IMO.
  21. Isn't this 6.3L engine the one that was supposed to outpower the LS7 with 510HP or something? It looks like it lost quite a bit with the new SAE ratings. It kind of seems like a waste of money for MB to make so many high performance models, especially when the new engines aren't a big step up from the old ones.
  22. The interior looks really good. I think the exterior might actually look better without the 22s. It looks kind of stubby with them I think.

    .....

I think it's still possible for it to be here before 2009 CY as a 2009 MY vehicle. Like 4Q 2008. I think the money will be flowing again once the GMT900s get out, and everything will get pushed forward a small amount, including the Camaro and RWD.
  24. Go with a 1999-200x Silverado or Sierra 1500 with the 5.3L. Unless you want something as new as 2004 (new F150), then I'd say the GM trucks are the best on the used market.
  25. There's no deadline right now (which is why I didn't post one) but I'd like to have it over with in about a week or 10 days.
