  1. I think it was Edmunds that said the media was seeing it on the 28th, but later it mentioned it wouldn't be revealed to the public at NYIAS. I'm guessing NAIAS 2007 or Chicago next year.
  2. Yeah... my GTO keys cost $200 each, and if you lose one they overnight a new key to you.
  3. Let's compare... Avalon: 4.235:1 first gear ratio, 2.36:1 second gear ratio and ~3500lbs Camry: 3.300:1 first gear ratio, 1.900: 1 second gear ratio and ~3450lbs With basically the same weight, the Avalon has better gearing, meaning it should be faster.
  4. Last I checked, all of the restated years still were in the black ink, and in 2003 GM actually restated their earnings as higher than orginally stated. If Wagoner wanted to destroy GM, he already had plenty of time. Your theory is such crap.
  5. Don't some Libertys have cloth? Anyways, the problem with the Commander is that it looks like an old Cherokee (could be considered good by some), the interior is no better than average, and the only acceptable engine is the HEMI. That, and the Tahoe/Yukon are much more appealing to anyone who doesn't want to go off-roading.
  6. I have one from the auto show and I'll post it once I get it uploaded... EDIT: Here it is, I know the pic isn't the greatest since I had to crop it from a pic of the whole interior, but it gives you the basic idea:
  7. It seems the last good-looking Acura is the TL, after it debuted Acura has had no other debut that actually looks good. This looks rather boring and it looks like they took the Q7's rear.
  8. If the next CTS is having a wider track, then it makes sense that it has those big wheel arches. We need to get a shot of the side of it to see if the wheelbase is any longer.
  9. Be nice to the poor guy, he doesn't catch onto sarcasm too easily I've noticed, even when you add smilies.
  10. Upon further review, I think that just means they just deleted footnote 1 from MXO (the code for the automatic). I'm guessing footnote 1 said something about availability (maybe late availability?) and now the auto is available so they got rid of it. In Ordering Info -> Mechanical the automatic is still available. There are other things with footnotes, so it makes me think that it was simply a deletion of the footnote.
  11. A green Solstice driving in the rain.
  12. I'd probably take the Accord over the Camry because you can get a slick 6-speed, it looks less frumpy, and the interior build quality is much better from what I've observed. It will be interesting to see if the 2008 Malibu is as good as the press made it out to be during GM's "sneak preview" last year. It's sure to look better than the Camry, so hopefully it has a competitive powertrain and a kickass interior.
  13. He was joking, can you not hint a little sarcasm?
  14. What does footnote 1 say?
  15. Since I couldn't submit the other one (it was the Camaro concept), here's my new submission:
  16. What if the made DPH alter the contract so that they still had the ability to strike. Do you think they'd accept then?
  17. You can get a Co-Op before you even go to college? I went to colleges and they said that you can get Co-Ops after freshman year, but not in HS.
  18. I didn't read the review, but I thought I'd post some of C&D's quibbles (the review was almost 100% postitive except for 1 paragraph with their quibbles): - One editor thought the clock was hard to read - No one-touch-up power touch window (a justifiable complaint with an as-tested price of $66k) - No dead pedal - No telescoping steering wheel and the tilt is not power (both should be power for $66k, IMO) - Ignition in steering column when there's no column lock - No entry-assist handle for driver - Lower towing capacity than outgoing model - No fold-flat third row
  19. I think G6 retail sales are better than previous Grand Am retail sales, as the GA was heavily fleeted.
  20. Wagoner's grades: Some A's, some nays Jamie LaReau | Automotive News / March 27, 2006 http://www.autonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...t=newsletter07#
  21. He doesn't mean a used one, but a new one. I've seen plenty of folks over at LS1GTO get new 2005s for $25k. As for this thread... did we really need to rehash this topic? I don't think we got anywhere last time.
  22. Car and Driver is the most awesomeness magazine ever!
  23. C&D needs to hire some new editors; this blurb from the "news" section is just terrible: Awesomeness? And something tells me they wouldn't have said the same about a Toyota being shot behind the barn.
  24. I just realized I can't submit that anyways since it's not a production vehicle, lol.
