  1. Actually, the headlights are quite similar to the new 'Nox. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the MCE in 2011 or whenever it is looks very close to this front end.
  2. Perhaps the MCE will look something like this?
  3. We need to give you guys the same member type as NOS. I'll try to do that tomorrow if I can. I'm too tired to try and figure it out right now as I never slept last night.
  4. I really like the exterior design, and the interior design is quite good as well. However, looking at some of these pictures, it doesn't seem like there was that much attention to detail in terms of the pieces of the dash/center stack all fitting together tightly and cohesively. http://www.autoblog.com/photos/live-2010-chevrolet-equinox/ All in all, I'm not sure I would pick any other vehicle in class over the new 'Nox, depending on how it drives, of course. Fuel economy for the I4 is quite impressive, the CRV gets 20/27 and is smaller.

  7. I'd rather Pontiac have an Alpha-based sedan and coupe as their one model than have 4 models if the other 3 are the G5, G3, and G6; it's not necessarily a bad thing.
  8. Both of you can go ahead and do it. If one of you wants to do sketch and the other chopping, that's fine, or if you just want to take turns or whatever that's fine as well. PM each other and figure some sort of system out. Having two people would be an advantage in case one of you has a busy week or is on vacation, etc... Thanks for the help!
  9. This is a pretty good price considering it includes destination and gas tax. These will be an amazing value in a couple years on the used market, I think.
  10. Keep in mind that interior is of the Provoq concept, which should be pretty similar to the production version, but some details will change, obviously.
  11. Umm, the SRX is quite different from the Equinox in profile. It may look similar to the next one I suppose, but you don't know what the new Equinox looks like. As for it looking like the 9-4x... well, GM isn't going to have Saab for much longer, and it doesn't even look that similar. 9-4x: It may be FWD/AWD, but the SRX is being tuned on the 'ring. Certainly it will handle quite well. Black plastic? Check. Check. Check.
  12. The other ones were not ugly, and had at least pretty decent interiors. And how is the new SRX generic? I'd say it's much better looking than the RX and the interior is looking like it will be pretty good.

Don't have any info on it yet. Sorry for the small pics, there are more available here: http://autodeadline.com/Photos?source=Lexu...;kw=&page=2 Why does it remind me of a Hyundai Veracruz? You figure it at least has a pretty good-looking interior, right? Guess again.
  14. We have responded to your PMs and discussed having you buy the site, and told you we were not interested. Why do you care to make such a big stink out of it in the public forum. Walt is not going to sell the site. Simple as that.
  15. But this car comes out in 3 years, which means if it comes out with this interior, this car will likely still have this same interior 6 years from now. If it is barely acceptable now, how will it be even remotely competitive in 6 years? By then, the current TSX will only be available as a used car.
  16. How is a more modern version of the Aura interior going to work for an entry-lux car if this car is still around in 2015? The Aura interior was never even best in class in 2006 in the $20k segment when it came out. The design of this interior makes it nothing more than an Aura with an integrated radio and a few updates here and there. This is my explanation of why we have to wait 3 extra years; that would be ample time for an MCE and interior re-do to make it competitive with lower-level A4s.
  17. Now that I've seen the Regal interior when it's not a blob of black it does look better, but still too much like the Aura and in 3-4 years like crap for a "brand new" model.
  18. It just seems that the Regal's interior could be put into just about any midsize sedan. It was originally intended to be the NG Aura in NA, afterall. The TSX is much more interesting and has contrasting colors that are much more pleasing to the eye, IMO. Perhaps the Regal interior would be better in other color combinations. I just feel like the Regal's interior is basically a sea of gray and boring to look at. Nothing about the TSX makes me say "wow," but it certainly is not as boring to me as the Regal interior. I think (and hope) one reason that the Regal may be getting here so late is because the interior will be getting some sort of upgrade to make it a Buick. Look at the LaCrosse's interior, for example. A lower-rent version of that interior is what should be in the Regal. The car could also target lower end Audi A4s, and while this picture is of an upper-end model I assume, even a very nicely done version of the Regal interior would not touch it: It's not so much that it is a bad interior, it just looks much too generic to me to be a Buick or entry-lux interior in 2012 or whenever it is getting here.
  19. The TSX in particular just looks much more well-finished and the design seems much more upscale to me. The Regal's looks a lot like the current Aura interior with extra buttons and a NAV screen at the top: It is obviously just based on personal preference, but I don't see anything great about the Regal interior.
  20. This is stupid, not the idea but the fact that it's going to take so long to get here. Perhaps it will have had an MCE by then. The TSX and even S40 interiors look much nicer than the Regal's. Perhaps it is getting an MCE before it comes here and that is why it's going to take so long.
  21. This is an interesting idea; having Pontiac be exclusively sports cars/GTs. Not sure if you could do it because of the Camaro and Corvette, but you could probably do Solstice, a sedan, and something more expensive like the GTO. I guess if Pontiac is a niche brand that probably means they aren't selling many cars... and that would certainly be the case with a 3-Series car, a GT, and a roadster.
  22. I would say that the scale of the MKS and the XF is probably off on that overlay, but I suppose it is possible they're mostly to scale.
  23. My apologies also for any thread hijacking. Shall we start a new thread on Pontiac instead of posting it all in here? While this may be a pretty cool, there is no way that can happen, it is just not financially feasible. Sure, products may come and go, but it makes no difference what the other brands have. If there's an Alpha platform, how does it make sense for Pontiac to get a sedan on it and then drop it for a vert? They would lose so many potential customers by dropping the sedan, and it makes no sense financially. They can't just make a model for a couple years then drop it.
  24. I don't think Pontiac will have to adapt to whatever platforms are available at the time in the future... as long as Cadillac is around and they want a 3-Series-sized sedan, there will be Alpha. Such a vehicle should be a mainstay. What future platforms are just going to come and go like that? There's always going to be Alpha if it ever gets here and there's always going to be something for cars bigger than Alpha for Cadillac. Pontiac gets the cheap version; Cadillac's not going to "rotate" products.
  25. I don't see how you can have a "rotating" lineup. How does that make business sense and build a brand image? Young people aspire to own a 3-Series one day... BMW would be absolutely ludicrous to rotate what products it builds.
