  1. Yeah, it looks really good on black and I've seen a few on silver that look good. Red looks good as well. The problem is that it's rediculously expensive and the side skirts, spoiler, and rear make it look worse, IMO (I might get the rear if I get some dual exit exhausts).
  2. That wouldn't work, because we'd be paying more for the gas from the smaller comapanies and when people switched back to Exxon they'd just raise the price up again. We might get cheaper gas for a week or so, but that's like $10 saved max.
  3. I've haven't seen one with the SAP in person, but over on LS1GTO.com quite a few people have it.
  4. Can you not yet get a Co-Op with GM? At U of I (where I'm most likely going) you can get a Co-Op basically anywhere after your freshman year, so I'm going for one at GM (so maybe I can visit you, lol). I think you should save your money and go for an LS1 Camaro, but that's just me. You'll certainly have one of the fastest V6 Camaros out there with all your mods however. I need to get a job and mod my GTO, but I don't think my dad would let me do much. Maybe exhaust and CAI and some other bolt-ons.
  5. Yeah, the taillights are black with just the parts that light up having color. IMO, they look best on black and silver. I've seen them on a blue Goat and I didn't think it looked too good. Red looks decent, but I don't really perfer red or black tails on them... they're about the same IMO. They also look pretty good on yellow.
  6. I've done some pretty sweet smokeshows doing donuts, but I can't do them anymore unless I find some old crappy tires that fit as I can't afford to be burning through new tires every couple months
  7. I wish GM would actually let people sit in the Aura at NY to compare it to the Camry/Accord/etc. At Chicago you could sit in the Yaris, Camry, FJ, and ES350, and I don't believe any of them were on sale yet. However, you couldn't even sit in an Escalade and it was already on sale.
  8. 77k vehicles between the two of them is very good for 3 months, especially considering two of the months were Jan and Feb which are traditionally slow. The Cobalt and HHR also have significantly fewer fleet sales than your average GM vehicles as well.
  9. Umm, how about the old taillights if I get 06's?
  10. Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!
  11. Interesting that the Gallardo got the jump both times, but after that the Z06 pretty much owned it.
  12. This thread has become useless, and is now locked. Everyone be warned: do not carry over any of this arguing and name-calling into other threads, otherwise you'll recieve a formal warning.
  13. Today was a nice day so I decided I'd wash, clay bar, and wax the GTO with a new ICE product from Turtle Wax. The clay bar works wonders (I've used it before on our old LSS and it did wonders to it's paint), and the Ice worked really well. It's basically a wax, but it's clear and you just apply it, let it sit for 5 minutes, wipe the area and then buff the area, and it looks great. It's much easier than your traditional paste wax and looks just as good; we'll see how it holds up (it claims it lasts for 3-4 months). The sun was making it so damn shiny I had to wear sunglasses because my eyes weren't liking the bright light too much. Oh, if you can guess the license plates you get bonus points (not sure what they're for though ). If you know what my last name is you can probably figure it out. Anyways, enough with the rambling, here are the pics: Anyone else thinks the 06 taillights would look GREAT along with a spoiler-delete?
  14. That sucks. If someone did that to my Goat I'd probably beat the crap out of them. Hopefully it get's all fixed up and looks as close to new as possible.
  15. Umm, they don't look like LED's to me, and I don't think it's illegal either; why would it be okay to have LED taillamps if it was illegal to have LED headlights? Those don't look like LEDs to me.
  16. It's unfortunate it had the clunking noise, but I guess there are going to be some bugs in something that was rushed to market. The GXP will address any performance problems, and probably under cut the MazdaSpeed MX-5 by quite a bit.
  17. Congrats. Let us know how he likes it and if he has any bugs with it.
  18. The Aura Green Line for 2008 is getting the 2.4L Ecotec, but I'm not sure if the Aura will get a non-Green Line 4 cylinder.
  19. Interesting that it's missing all of it's badges, but it could just be a custom job. However, considering he ran to the car to get away with you tells me it might be a LSX supercharged engine testing or the Blue Devil.
  20. The only real similarities I see on the steering wheels is that the spokes are similar and both have buttons on the spokes. The part that houses the airbag is not similar at all. I wish the old XK's interior was as good as the new one's is. That'd be a totally kickass car; however, the old XK's interior is very average and the new XK's interior is not nearly as sexy as the old one.
  21. Maybe it's just an optical illusion on the first pic.
  22. That's a Nissan from another market, but I forget it's name. I think there was a rumor it may become the next Maxima.
  23. Isn't that just because it was just picking up steam during this time last year? Maybe not, but I think that's the reason. Whether or not that's the reason, the Cobalt has been doing well for GM; last year it was GM's best-selling car in retail sales (not including trucks).
  24. LOL, that's because those ARE LS460 pics.
