  1. The key fob is really cool and the new seats look great. I would love to see the key pop out of the fob though, a la VWs.
  2. I don't think the Union is going to be nearly as strong after Sept. '07. We shall see though...
  3. The new pics are definetly better, but I'd like to see more 6-Series influence. 300HP is nice, but I'm guessing it will be a rather expensive upgrade.
  4. Everything is gone. You can try google cached pages but those are going away too (slowly).
  5. Trucks, SUVs, and crossovers may sell in lower numbers, but they will still sell in pretty big numbers. Trucks are needed by many people for work, so I'd say that market is pretty safe. SUVs are the only market here I see losing many sales, and mostly because the sales will be going to crossovers. People are still going to need something other than a car to go on family trips, so they have the choice between an SUV, crossover, or minivan. Crossovers are the new thing, and they'll still rise in sales for quite a while. GM having class-leading crossovers in the Lambdas is going to help them a ton. Again, people need something to move the family around, and currently lots of them are switching to crossovers.

    C6 Z06

It's a 2006. Apparantly there is a TSB on some Corvettes now because they got a bad "batch" of adhesive from whoever supplies the adhesive and some tops are coming loose (but not falling off like this).
  7. I think the Equinox SS is supposed to get the 3.6 when it comes out. As for the VUE... I forgot to sit in it at the auto show, but the RAV4 I sat in was not that impressive. It wasn't bad, but there was certainly room for improvement, and the design was a little out-there. I'm guessing the VUE is similar in interior materials. The next VUE gets the 3.6 as well, and the next VUE GL gets the 3.6 mated to a system like the Tahoe is getting (it's actually the 2nd Gen of the Tahoe's for FWD/AWD) and it will also be available with the 2.4 mated with BAS. So, it will have basically the same HP as the RAV4 (judging by the Outlook) or possibly more depending on what upgrades GM has in store.

Good catch, I'd say it's gray wood. If it was metal then there would be way too much metal in the center console/stack and it appears the little "door pocket" has metal on the edge of it - it's much more shiny than the stuff on the upper part of the door which makes me think it's gray wood.
  9. I think a lot of the DTS "buyers" are to fleet companies. The CTS and probably the STS too outsell it in the retail market. I think this will be the last DTS/Deville. There is no replacement for the G-Body, and by the time it needs a replacement we will be looking at the ULS (hopefully).
  10. I'm guessing the reason the G6 hasn't gotten a new stack is because they're focusing on the EP II model. That's a terrible excuse, but that's my guess. (It's a MY 2010 BTW).
  11. You can't tell anything about how it looks, but the Lucerne definetly DOES NOT need a spoiler. The rear is perfectly fine as-is

It looks really good from what we can see. I see a bit of Sixteen in the proportions. The rear overhang looks just a tad long, but hopefully the camo is contributing to that. The rest of the car looks a little bit smaller than the current one to me. The STS gets a MCE for '08, so that would be a reason to buy it over the new CTS assuming it's nicer.
  13. I didn't know if I should put it in the thread with the suggestions (so that we don't get off topic for anyone who still wants to offer their suggestions), but I emailed the thread to Lutz. Basically I emailed him the thread and told him about some of the changes that were suggested, and his response... "Thank you. Surely too late to make production, but there's always mid-cycle!" So, it would appear that he at least likes the feedback, even though we won't make an immediate impact. However, I don't see why the wheels couldn't be changed by production time. I think that we should do this with all of GM's products in the future. If we don't make a difference, oh well, but we should at least try.
  14. GM needs to have a ton of the T900 hybrid SUVs available. When we get to $3.50 a gallon (I hope it doesn't happen but it sure seems like it will), everyone who is looking a F/S SUVs will want to have a hybrid if at all possible. If GM has a large supply (which was the problem for the Prius and others when they were new) and can meet demand, GM will be raking in the cash.
  15. It does. The Escalade beat the $90 RR Sport in a Comparo, 'nuff said. And if it was the best vehicle ever built (which it's not), and it sold like crap, then obviously it would matter, because GM wouldn't be making much money on it At the beginning of the article he said that if it wasn't good (and therefore didn't do well) then it would be the final nail in GM's coffin, so obviously it does matter
  16. As wildcat said, the Lambdas are coming. I think everyone has mentioned almost everything. T900s, Aura, Lambdas, Aveo, HHR (for a full year), even the Solstice and Sky will have a very slight percentage of the market share. I think the G6 coupe and convert will also help G6 sales, along with the addition of the 3.6 for the 07 MY. Other than that, there is not a lot until we start getting the 08s such as the Malibu, CTS, new VUE, and Cobalt MCE.
  17. Yes, the Monaro is very low volume. The GTO actually made the Monaro project profitable for Holden I believe.
  18. Get your current 3er coupe while you still can! Sorry, but this thing is really boring. It's really slab-sided with the exception of the crease, which doesn't look very good to me. The rear is interesting, but I get a hint of last-gen IS from the front for some reason.
  19. The GL's price is competitive, but you can get an XLR-V for $5k more than the SL550. I guess that's what you pay for when you get a Mercedes.
  20. No, the next Astra will just be a Saturn as well. We may have to wait a little longer than if we got the GMNA designed one, but we'll get a better product and it will be a lot more economical for GM to produce as a result.
  21. The wood is real
  22. And this will sell what, 2000-3000 units a year? And GM can't decide whether it wants to produce another GTO because it "only" sells about 15k per year GM should sell Saab and make some more money.
  23. By the time the Solstice and Sky would be ready for a redesign, Kappa II will be around, so we will probably see a Kappa II sedan, coupe, wagon, or any combination of the three at Wilmington. 4 products at Oshawa? Either: Camaro, Impala, G8, GTO or: Camaro, Impala, G8, Buick sedan
  24. If we knew what the Aura would start with with the 2.4, then we could add about $2k. Looking at the G6 for comparison, the Aura 2.4 would probably start around $18-19k, so that means the hybrid is probably going to be anywhere from $20-21k base and probably go up to $25k or so.
  25. I honestly don't see why everyone raves about the exterior of the Altima. It's certainly better than the Accord or Camry, but it doesn't look better than the Aura and the interior is not the least bit impressive asethetically to me (though Edmunds says the materials are good).
