  1. The black and silver ones look better, and the interior looks a lot better (from what I can tell) in black w/silver stack.
  2. Good article. The pics could be better, but I guess it was an overcast day. It certainly looks better than the pics of the Challenger in the flesh.
  3. I think the Legacy would sell better if it didn't have those little circles sticking out of the headlights and if the non-sport models didn't look so jacked up. I guess the normal ones might be okay, but the Outbacks or whatever the "off-road" sedan is called looks dumb.
  4. It doesn't look as good as with camo on ironically, but it would still make a good entry-level Saturn below the Astra.
  5. If Dodge had started with a sleek, modern coupe and then add retro cues like GM did with the Camaro I don't think many people would bitch and moan. However, as-is, it just doesn't work at all.
  6. Someone posted this at CZ28, and as I said there, it looks pretty gross. Big, fat, and like a pig. The Camaro looks so small and sleek in comparison.
  7. While I thought it was weird at first, it makes sense. By giving the passenger side the vertical door pull (to close it, not open), it gives a totally flat armrest area without any "holes." If it was the same as the driver side it would have that same hole for the door pull. The driver's side can't have the vertical pull because all those buttons would not be visible.
  8. That article is over a year old, and the vehicle they shot has already debuted in China. I think it's actually the "LaCrosse" in China, but I could be mistaken. At the time of the article it may have been correct, but I think the Velite is dead as of now.
  9. Crap, I totally forgot about this. Oh well, mine wasn't going to be that realistic (given GM's budget) anyways.
  10. The cam adds up to 55HP? I guess it depends on which one, but that seems like a lot. I really have no idea how much my cam adds because it was on there when I got it, but I read they normally add 30-35HP. Have you beefed up the tranny to handle all the power? That could be a concern. I need to get a job so I can mod the GTO, but I wouldn't be able to decide what to do if I did have the money.
  11. The interior of the Caliber is horrible. I'd take an HHR any day.
  12. I think I have a good idea for this one, so I may try it tomorrow.
  13. "Color has a tendency to make things look less premium." Why is white associated with rental cars then? It's rather contradictory when Cadillac has plenty of red in their emblem, yet Saturn is becoming "too premium" for red. That said, I think a black background would look better.
  14. Everyone keep saying SS Supercharged, but you can get one of those with 4 doors, which is what he wants. (Yes I realize the HHR is not a sedan either, but I figured that more doors wouldn't hurt). If you're open to something used, what about a used CTS? It would be more expensive than the Malibu though so it probably wouldn't work.
  15. Neither, I'd take the HHR over either of them. What price are you looking for? I might have other ideas depending on what you want to spend.
  16. The Fit gets really good gas mileage as is, so I don't see it really returning that much more, but I guess we shall see. Honda is dumb if they aren't going to do hybrid versions of trucks and SUVs. That would be quite profitable I would think.
  17. The exterior tries to look sleek and sexy like the Enclave with all the curves but just ends up looking dated. The interior is pretty good however.
  18. Yes, but it still looks almost exactly the same even if the theme is different. If you watched them without sound they'd be very similar.
  19. I guess that would make sense, I was just surprised it went from mid 13 MPGs to low 15 MPGs. That's quite an increase I would think. Over 10%.
  20. I know that LSx engines get stronger as they get less "green," but I've never heard of them getting better gas mileage as well. When I got the GTO with about 6k miles on it, I got 13.3.-13.5MPG consistently on each tank. Then one tank I averaged 14.1MPG and was presently surprised. That went on for a couple tanks, and then the last tank I got 14.6MPG. I thought maybe I was just babying it more than I used to, but now more than 3/4 of the way through the current tank I'm getting 15.1MPG and am definetly not babying it all the time. Anyone ever heard of the LS1 increasing performance AND gas mileage over time? This is also interesting because the Alero which is 700lbs lighter and has less than half the HP never got above 18.x MPG. So, the GTO is bigger and really isn't a whole lot worse on MPGs. I should also add that it has all been city driving in both the GTO and Alero.
  21. The other night I was watching a basketball game on TV, and I saw the same commercial for the Sonata about 5 times. At first it's just driving around and whatnot, and then it enters a tunnel. The tunnel scene is VERY similar to the V-Series commercial where the cars start in a tunnel, and then it comes out of the tunnel very similarly to how the V-Series cars do. Has anyone else seen the commercial? If I was Cadillac marketing, I'd be PISSED at Hyundai right now.
  22. Good read. If the CTS does seriously threaten the 3-Series, that will be a great accomplishment for Cadillac. Hopefully it comes with the 3.6L HF V6 with DI making 310HP standard, but I'm guessing we'll see a ~240HP DI 2.8 as the base engine. Cadillac is going to need some engine upgrades to stay competitive. With the rumored 310HP on the 3.6 it should be fine, but the Northstar is going to need to be redone or replaced. If the V6 is making 310HP, the V8 needs to be up near 380-390HP like the new MB V8.
  23. I chose Firebird. If you got a gf you wouldn't THINK it happened, nor the lottery or meeting a C&G member in person. But, you could still be uncertain about whether you're getting the Firebird for sure.
  24. Nice rides. When do you anticipate the Camaro will be done?
  25. Neither. The black one is way too over the top, and the orange one would just blend in with all the other G6s by now. That said, if GM HAD to produce one, I might say the black one sinse the orange one isn't differeniated enough and the black one is bold, and bold seems to be in now.
