  2. I think a dynamic image means that it just ends in .com/xxxx (whatever it says after /) and doesn't end in .jpg.
  3. It's certainly one of GM's better and more creative ads recently.
  4. I doubt it will have a 4-speed auto. GM should be over to 6-speeds in everything but entry-level (sub-$15k) cars.
  5. Sub-Theta was cut but may get the go-ahead again. The main reason it seems that it was cut was because it was not going to be a very global platform. The G6 is planned and has codes.

I guess I didn't realize that the E46's was like that either. There was on I was driving behind that must have had an extra trim piece because it was much better integrated, IMO.

The front looks pretty good actually, but I don't like the exhuast tips placement.
  8. No, that simply means Josh is not paying for it anymore. The other mods (Fly, Camino, Z, Ven, myself, and others) have made donations to pay for the site for 2 more years. We will be switching hosts and getting off this crappy server shortly, and it will all be paid for for 2 years. I should also add that the end of 4 months is June.
  9. 350HP at least? I would assume that DI would add at least 10% more power on the Northstar if it adds 15% more on the HF V6s. A 10% increase would be about 350hp.
  10. Josh posted that he wanted to step down from his position at some point, and that there was enough money donated in the PayPal account to pay for the site until June. Here is what Josh posted in the mod forum: I think that pretty much clears things up...
  11. If not the 3.9 then I would agree the 3.6L without DI would go in as the base engine, and going by what you said about certification the 3.6 sounds like it will be the base engine.
  12. What are they gonna do to get the V6s to 350HP? They might be able to make them more high-strung, but that's not going to be beneficial for daily driving.
  13. Sixty8 - While I agree a Sixteen would be sweet, right now Cadillac needs to focus on making the STS and SRX best-in-class and competitive against the competition from across the pond.
  14. Wow, that thing is disgusting. Too bad our Civic doesn't look like that.
  15. The STS looks pretty good, but it's too boring to make a real splash in the market like the CTS. Cadillac basically entered uncharted territory with the new STS, and it didn't do a whole lot to make it stand out from the pack. The CTS on the other hand definetly stood out from the pack when it came out (and it still does, actually). The STS looks good, but so does the GTO. It just so happens that neither of them are that eye-catching, and both are in segments in which many people want eye-catching styling.
  16. I was driving through the Nissan-Saturn dealer today to see if they had any SKYs (they didn't) and I notice this orange 350Z convert sitting there with a sticker in the window. It read "MSRP: $39,xxx Reduced: $38,xxx" and I had to do a double take to make sure it was actually $39k. I don't know what anyone else thinks, but I think that's pretty rediculous. I'd take a SKY Redline over that any day and pocket the extra $10k. Hell, that's almost as much as a base Corvette! (granted not a convert - but still).
  17. No, 240HP is plenty for secretaries and others (READ: women). For anyone who wants a high-power V6, GM will have the 300HP 3.6L available at extra cost. However, for those who could care less if it's screaming fast for a V6 and only care that it can keep itself from being run over in traffic, 240HP is fine and the 3.9 will allow for a lower entry point than the 3.6 would, while offering the 3.6 at extra cost.
  18. Yep, it happened on another one too. Apparantly (and this is true) the supplier of the adhesive material sent a bad batch of it to GM and they used it (unknowingly) on some Z06s... not good.
  19. I think the people with a custom title are the ones that donated to the site a while back, but I could be mistaken. I think we're going to offer a Preminum Member Package at some point that includes the ability to change your title. Right now, only admins/mods can change titles.
  20. Yes, and that's a rediculous advantage, especially considering GM is at a $1500/car disadvantage to begin with before the exchange rate.
  21. I don't think the 3.6L w/DI will be standard. I think that will be a relatively expensive upgrade when it's new (until the cost is paid off) but I could be wrong. The 3.9L will be just fine for the base engine. Secretaries don't need 300HP anyways. 240-250HP will be plenty for them.
  22. Yeah, names can be changed. What do you want?
  23. Well, with the recent press release about the 3.6L HF V6 w/DI, discussion arose about what GM would do with the Northstar. If the same percentage gains are made on the Northstar as on the 3.6L HF V6, the Northstar would deliever approximately 370HP and 340 lb-ft without any other modifications. I'm sure with a few more tweaks it could be up to 380HP and 350 lb-ft. So, if a DI Northstar made 380/350, does everyone think this would be sufficient or should GM develop a new DOHC V8 for Cadillacs and Buicks?
  24. I agree about the videos, but not about a Heritage forum. People can discuss the past when they want, but we should always focus on the future.
