  1. Do you know that for sure? It just says they're similar, but the door panels look the same or very similar, and the center console too. Either way they'll be very close.
  2. The Tundra was a big leap, and partly because the old one was so crappy, but how can you tell that it's a bigger leap if you haven't seen the top-of-the-line GM interiors? The picture that you can see the dash is the bottom feeder, and is totally different than the top models.
  3. There are two different interiors, the one that you can see the dash is the work truck version. The one where the doors are open is for everything else, and as you can see it looks similar to the T900 SUVs, and it's a lot different from the work truck (just look at the door panels).
  4. Cool! Why does it look like it's jacked up though? That's not the standard ride height, is it?
  5. They will look a lot better when we see actual jpegs instead of scans, but I'd say the GMC looks better at the moment. The interior shot with leather appears to be very similar to the T900 SUVs, while the other one must be the work truck. They don't appear to share a whole lot (look at the door panels, air vents, the hump over the gauges, and center console). That's pretty impressive, IMO, considering both are Chevys and they're that different. The equipment on them sounds impressive, as does the reconfigurable bed area and the rear doors.
  6. Yep, no personal attacks
  7. I don't know about the spoiler, but you can definetly still get the Recaros and LSD. A mechanic at the dealership I work at got an '07 SS SC with them.
  8. The Aura is so much better looking than the Sebring it's funny the comparison is even being made. I highly doubt that the Aura holds its own against a BMW, but if it is even close, that should make it one of the best-handling family sedans out there.
  9. Least environmentally friendly probably has to do with both MPG and what the vehicle puts out into the environment.
  10. See for yourself: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=TM&t=3m Toyota stock was at $124 at the beginning of May, now it's fallen to below $99 and not very long ago fell all the way to $97. I realize that it's still above it's 52-week low, but if GM stock tumbled from $124 to $97 in less than three months, I think we'd have more than a couple articles about it.
  11. The fact that they did it simply by one category is rediculous. The whole context of the article is even more rediculous, as stated above. Where's the Taurus? It's might not be the worst at any one thing, but it's pretty damn bad. The Grand Prix has no place on the list; there are plenty of cars worse than it.
  12. I doubt the W's were ever meant to be RWD. GM lost a rediculous amount of money on the W's when they were introduced (talking billions here - three million per day at one point) so I think that's why they've been around so long.
  13. Today I washed a bunch of cars like most other days, and that was about it. Oh, then I had to mow my yard and my neighbors, even though my brother was supposed to do one of them. He decided to take a shower before he mowed and then proceeded to try to wear my basically-new sandals to mow the yard in. So I told him to go find something else, and he asked "why." "Well because they'll turn green dumbass!" So then since it would be so uncool to wear anything but sandals to mow the yard in, he takes five minutes to find old sandals. So by this time I have both front yards mowed (big yards) and am starting on one of the back yards by the time he starts. Basically he did our back yard and I did the rest.
  14. I'm getting a Dell laptop for school, the D820: http://www.dell.com/content/products/compa...s=04&l=en&s=bsd The tech people at my dad's work said it was really good and they could get it for a good price, so I guess that's what I'm getting.
  15. Congrats! And remember, if you can't find it, grind it!
  16. I think the mirrors are only for the mule. The other Lambdas have much nice mirrors and are of a lower class.
  17. Well originally the Lambda's were supposed to be 2004 MY vehicles I'm pretty sure (insiders correct me if I'm wrong), and the CSVs were supposed to be on Lambdas too, but that all got delayed for whatever reason.
  18. Agreed about needing more small crossovers, but you can't fault GM for being unlucky. Gas was fine and SUV and crossover sales were booming when these products were being developed. If GM knew that gas was going to be so much, I doubt they would have planned as many and planned some smaller X-overs. However, there still is a market for vehicles that can seat 7-8 passengers, and I have no problem with GM dominating it :AH-HA_wink:
  19. Can anyone tell if the leather is still around the center stack and on the dash? I don't see any stiching if it is. The rest looks almost exactly the same.
  20. I think a LARGE chunk of the fleet sales are going to be reduced by switching Oshawa over to Zeta and by getting rid of W-Body. The Impala and Grand Prix are rental queens and the LaCrosse is more common than Buick probably wants. The Monte Carlo is also fleeted relatively often, I believe. In contrast, the only Zeta I really see having many fleet sales is the Impala in police duty as well as possibly taxis.
  21. There has to be somewhere that someone would want one. How about trying Digital Corvettes or somewhere where there are a lot of car collectors that might want it.
  22. YJ: I like it, but it's too similar to A&S, IMO. Buick's shouldn't look so similar to Cadillacs. Cadillacs should be sharp and edgy, Buicks should be more round but still bold.
  23. Hmm, so maybe the next Monaro is a GTO (but this time the Monaro is simply a rebadged GTO instead of the GTO being a rebadged Monaro?). The timing seems right. Hmm...
  24. Very interesting. It sounds like they want the SS-V as a Pontiac and the Caprice as a Buick, and I'd have no objections if they got revised fasicas to look more like Pontiacs and Buicks. I think there is definetly a need for a Pontiac, but I fear the Buick would steal many of the basically new Lucerne's sales, and it might make more sense to wait until the NG Lucerne to have a RWD Buick sedan. If the SS-V were to come, it would also need a less-agressive model with the 3.6L HF V6 standard to maximize sales. While Holden doesn't seem to have much production capacity down under, aren't they building a plant in Korea (or China?) that they could build them at. I know many people would object to building them there, but if they see how good the car is it might shut them up.
  25. You kind of answered your own question, but I think it was a matter of how many more sales GM would get out of the additional investment. If GM thought it would sell 500,000 vehicles on Zeta but only 600,000 total if it added Chi to the mix, then it probably wasn't worth it. They probably figured there would be a lot of cannibalization.
