Looks like they got the inspiration for the headlights from Infiniti, the grill from Toyota, and the lower grill looks like many-a-Pontiac (though it's on other cars too). I can't see the rest, but the front is a bad mismatch of other vehicles, and the only thing that are at all attractive are the headlights.

The wheels looks sweet, and the 1.4L sounds impressive, but the rest is meh.

I saw an EOS like a month ago on a test drive. My parents went to Michigan the other day and my dad said a Lotus Elise passed them.

I think only one thing needs to be addressed: These questions have already been answered. Pontiac can adjust and so can the public. You totally forgot about the Solstice, and it shows that the answers to those questions are a resounding YES!

Well since the LaCrosse really isn't doing that badly I think it's OK. Also the Lambda vans won't just be nose jobs. The Lucerne is G. I was just saying that I wasn't sure if G could house the 6-speed (and therefore the Lucerne might not be able to get it). The LaCrosse is W and it for sure can NOT house the 6-speed.

I saw it, and it wasn't that great. I guess it's basically because it's just some people trying to escape from a ship for about an hour or so and there's not much else. I generally like action movies, but I guess there's not enough to it to make me like it.

So Jeep decides to build the ugly Compass but not the pretty-damn-cool Gladiator?

Last night me and my two buddies went to a frat and then we headed over to a house party that was rather far away (about 20 mins walking from where I live). Anyways, when we got to the house this guy that we didn't know before gave us some cups and told us to say that we paid for them. So, my buddies got a cup of beer and then it ran out after I only got about a third of a cup, so we just kinda stood around and watched beer pong. Anyways, the guy that lives there got back about 10 mins later and asked me and one of my friends if we paid for the cups. We told him we did, and then he wanted us to show him who we paid. So we walked around the house and couldn't find the guy, and he took us up stairs and he wasn't there either. Meanwhile, our other friend was down stairs drinking his beer (he hid it) and watching beer pong. So, the guy tells me and my friend to stay upstairs, and we do for a couple minutes but then decide to leave since he hadn't come back yet. So, as we're going to the entrance, our other friend says we need to "get the f*ck out of here" and runs out the door, so me and the other friend follow. Then the guy that was downstairs told us why he wanted to leave too... he went into the bathroom (drunk) and was peeing but peed all over the bathroom, and then he said he had to spit and spit on the guys' toothbrushes that live there. Then, when he was leaving there was a big pitcher of beer on the beer pong table so he said he drank as much as he could and then through it across the room (no one was in the room - they had gone somewhere else). So, somehow we managed to have perfect timing and were leaving at the same time. So after we had ran across the street and around the corner we started walking. After about 5 mins or so my friend (drunk) punched some sign and these two guys who were probably 200 feet behind us yelled. I noticed one of them was wearing a yellow shirt as the guy was who was mad at us for stealing one freaking cup of beer, so I said that maybe those are the guys from the house. So, we started running and so did they. We ran into the quad and didn't see them, so we decided to walk. However, I looked back and saw that they were still chasing us so we ran across the rest of the quad until we got to the next street where a cop was sitting at one end in a driveway. So, we walked about halfway across the street and then ran into and alley and then to my dorm and never saw the guys again. So, they either lost us, gave up, or got caught by the cops. It was quite fun

1. It probably got started later on in the development process. Also, it's more unique than the other two (they share a lot) so that may be a reason as well. 2. The Acadia was originally supposed to be a Pontiac, but it ended up going to GMC because they decided Pontiac didn't need one. 3. GMC is supposed to be a step up from Chevy, and it definetly attracts some people that Chevy wouldn't. 4. The 2010 date is deceiving. The LaCrosse will come out in early 2009 (probably January). The Lucerne just came out for '06. If a new one comes for the '10 MY, ten that's only a 4 year run, not long at all. 5. It's possible I suppose, but I'm not positive G- is designed to house the 6-speed (W- is definetly not).

So if Pontiac is getting a muscle car, it's not going to be a GTO or Firebird? Also, I sort of see why they wouldn't name something on Zeta Grand Prix or Bonneville now. Maybe Bonneville would work, but I think people think of something much bigger than a Zeta SWB sedan would be, and the current Grand Prix would be so much worse of a vehicle that I think some people would dismiss it right away because of the name.

I think I have one lecture with 270 people (it might have been 170) but everything else is around 31. One class actually only has 17 people.

Wow, Kettering is that small? There are 1200 freshman in engineering at UI and 7300 freshman overall.
-
They're okay I guess. They seem to waste too much time though, IMO. I was flipping through channels and actually saw the Heart commerical, but I thought it was just for a show or something.
-
Such a great sign of what Zeta will bring Too bad it's still a couple years away.

Yep, I'm in ME too. If you can get early move-in I would highly recommend it (though the public dorms didn't have it - I'm in a private one that's basically an apartment) as it was a lot easier since the lines were a lot smaller.

I always had to fill up the vehicles at the dealership with a full tank if they were sold. We would actually put about 5 gallons in cars and 7 in trucks/SUVs if they needed gas and were just sitting on the lot. I think GM only paid for half of the gas, though, so I'm not sure if this is really that much different except on vehicles that requrie many test drives to sell. I guess it's sort of an incentive to get the deal done without a lot of test drives so that the dealer doesn't have to pay for more gas.

I'm moved in now (been moved in for a couple days) and it's been pretty cool so far. I've met quite a few people and most of them seem pretty nice. The parties are pretty insane. I went to a frat with like 500 people stuffed in the basement with free beer. UI is ranked #5 overall in engineering, Kettering is ranked #12, so they're both pretty good. I couldn't find the rankings for each individual segment because they wanted me to pay for it.

Excellent review and nice pics, Fly!

We always cleaned the engines at the dealership. Basically, if it's not too dirty, just take a power washer and wash off the dirt. But if it's rather dirty, power wash it, then wash it with some car wash, and then power wash it again. To dry it try I guess use a towel (I used an air gun). Then, if you want it to look really clean, spray some tire dresser on it and then wipe the excess off. Or, you can spray the tire dresser on it before you dry it and then just power wash it again after you spray on the tire dresser to get the excess dressing off.

No, the NG LaCrosse is a global car, and will also be sold in China, but the current Chinese LaCrosse is not the same as what the NG one is. That will be replaced as well by the same NG LaCrosse we get (or at least very close to the same).
-
I think the next LaCrosse is a 2010 model year with sales starting in early 2009. I don't know where it's being built, but when the W- ends production there will probably be about 6 months before for the new one appears, which gives dealers time to sell old units. Also, Oshawa will have a capacity of 500+k units when it's re-done and made into one giant plant.
-
Great news, it's just too bad it's at least 4 years away I'm guessing.
-
The NG LaCrosse is still on, it's just not being built at Oshawa. It's a global car (same as the NG China LaCrosse) so there'd be no reason to cancel the US version.

Did it have metallic trim or wood trim? I'm a bit confused if you can get the metallic trim with the Morrocan leather or not.
