I bet this was a regional thing. If you're from Texas GMman, then there are obviously a lot of Spanish-speaking people there. I doubt they would have played the ad in Spanish in markets where there aren't many Spanish-speaking people.

And truck Escalade EXT so no one can afford any of them.

You should be able to get the 6.0L on the LTZ, but I don' know if it's really needed. I just searched for it on GMBuypower and couldn't find it though, so maybe it's not available at the start. For some reason you can get a Sierra with the 6L on GMBuypower though. It's a $1700 option; definetly not worth it, IMO. On a side note, I don't know why anyone would buy a Silverado LTZ when the Denali comes out. The Denali won't be much more, and you get the 6-speed and 6.2L.

No, the Acadia and Outlook are 2007s, but it's possible they weren't available for testing.

My sister got an Inspiron 8500 4 years ago and hasn't had to replace anything. I currently have a Latitude D820 and haven't had anything wrong with it, granted I've only had it for a few months. It definetly is a good idea to cough up the extra cash when you purchase it for a warranty. Mine as 3 years accidental damage replacement and 3 years warranty, so if anything goes wrong in 3 years they either have to replace the whole computer or the componets that go bad. As aaaantonie said, the laptop will get very hot if it's on something that's cloth or your lap. However, mine is sitting on a wood desk right now and I can feel almost no heat when I run my hand on the bottom of it. The Latitudes are "business" machines, so they're more durable, I believe. Inspirons are "home" machines. I would go with the "business" machine of most any company, I think, unless you want it for gaming, in which case you might as well get a desktop.

I think he meant take the number of vehicles Mercedes sells and divide it by the number of models they have. Then, do the same for Cadillac. Of course many of MB's models are high-end and therefore don't sell in large numbers. -
I haven't searched through this site yet, but this looks like it might be helpful: http://www.mycarstats.com/auto_recalls/auto_recalls.asp

Sometimes I get tired of sigs, so I thought that rather than just turning them off, maybe we could add a feature that LS1GTO.com has. Your sig appears after your first post in a topic, but after your first post, your sig does not appear. Thoughts?

Maybe he was talking about the Lexus supercar that's coming, but I wouldn't bet on it being faster than the Z06.
-
Maybe a racecar I suppose there are twin-turbo Supras out there that are faster than the Z06, but not stock for stock.

Holy crap, 100,000 unsold vehicles not counted as inventory? Chrysler is in a world of hurt... that's more than a half of month of sales just sitting somewhere.
-
It's not a waste of money. It boosts Chrysler's image and the vehicles definetly attract young buyers, even if they can't afford them.

The number of recalls are probably posted on Autonews somewhere in the Data Center, but I don't have my subscription anymore. Ask him to name you 3 Toyota's that have style and are fun to drive. I bet he can't name two.

I try to copy the post after I write it too if it's very long. The server has been being a PITA lately. Apparantly our host thinks "oh, they paid for 2 years, let's put them on a crappy server since they won't be giving us any more money in the forseeable future."

That Rendezvous looks hilarious. I've seen some blinged out Buicks, but most have been driven by people around 40, and I'm not being racist, but I've only seen black people in them. I guess you could call 40 young compared to the average buyer age.

I don't think the Altima's front end meshes very well with the G35's body. The body is all smooth and the front is kind of edgy.
-
That's pretty impressive. But, it's pure overkill. Sure, it's a great acheivement and a cool feature, but who is so bad at parking that they need the car to park itself? Also, what happens if the features breaks? Would the car just do nothing or would you have a little fender bender?

How can he say that the next CTS is not going to outsell the current one? Everything we've seen and heard suggests it's going to revolutionize everything in terms of design, it will have a kick-ass interior, excellent powertrains, and an improved suspension. How does that equal "doing fine to match the success of today's model"? Reg, how has the new CTS lost its edgy look? The only thing we've seen without camo is the 60 minutes shot, and it still looks plenty edgy in that. As for the other models, yes, Cadillac needs to get their act together on the STS and DTS. I really think the Cadillac renaissance is just starting now. Sure, we had some turn around models, but look at the other vehicles GM was turning out then and how bad most of them were. Now, look at the non-Cadillacs GM is turning out today, and that tells you something about how good the new Cadillacs will be. In the end, yes, Cadillac slowed down, but it's not like their product cycles have become abnormally long or anything. It just so happens they had everything redesigned/new at once that a gap in new product was bound to happen. Finally, I don't think ragging on the SRX is acceptable. Yes, it didn't sell well, but it's won countless awards and comparos, so it's not like it's a bad product. It just didn't do well for whatever reason. -
Wow, this host sucks. How did I post twice 3 minutes between each other? I hit "post reply" and it goes to an "internal server error" page, so I figure I lost everything, but rather, it's posted twice? Oh my... Anyways, back to the trucks.

NOS, where did you get the pricing on the Ram? Are you sure you checked everything correctly? An ST 4x4 Quad Cab with the Hemi and nothing else is $32,755. If you add a rear differential (which would be ideal for towing), 3.92 gears, and the trailer tow package (not sure what he's towing, but it might be needed), brings it to $33440. For $32,080, you can get the 5.3, Z85 (trailering suspension), trailering package (note if you don't need this then the Ram's is $335 and the Silvy's $350), G80 locking rear, CD player, and Cruise control on the Silverado, and the Ram still doesn't have and stability control system, which is another $830. So basically, you would be paying about $1400 for a remote starter, which you can pick up at Best Buy for like $200, as well as the Hemi, which really isn't going to be much faster than the 5.3 and it will get about 10MPG.

If it's lease, why does MSRP matter? Is he going for a Classic Silverado or the new one? He should be able to get some awesome deals on the Classic with the new one coming out. The F-150 is far better than the Ram if you can't convince him to get a Silverado. If it's the new Silverado, you can probably get a better deal on the Ram. If he doesn't care about ABS, why does he care about discs? Wasn't it proven that the Silverado w/rear drums stopped shorter than one with rear discs anyways? Finally, what does he intend to do with this truck? I'm not sure he would even need the Hemi if its just something for work (or the 5.3 for that matter). The 4.8 is still a good engine, and I'm not sure the 5.3 is worth $600 for just 20hp and 33 lb-ft. If you go with the 4.8 instead of 5.3, you get the CD player (Silverado also has XM standard I guess?), G80 locking rear differential (see newbie's video of the Ram not being able to go up the same ramp as the Silvy), and cruise control, the total is $30,935. If you drop the Hemi from the Ram it's still cheaper, but then you're left with a POS engine. Finally, I think he needs to go test drive them and see which one is really better before making a decesion.

Can't you look in your history list to see what forum you got it from? I think that Lingenfelter C5 probably had drag slicks to go 0-60 in 1.97. 2.5 to 60 is insanely fast, but we'll see. It seems next to impossible because the Veyron has 1000hp and AWD and does it in 2.5, so the Vette being just as fast without AWD seems impossible without slicks.

Wow, $150k? Good luck...

Yeah, that's what it is I think. There were 44xx Chevy dealers not long ago, so there's no way they closed 500, though it's interesting that there are only about 500 stand-alone Chevy dealers then. Autonews has the data if anyone wants to look it up. I could probably find it in an old issue, but I don't have my subscription anymore and I'd have to go home to get it out of an old issue.
