  1. The Impala beat the old Camry and the Fusion and Milan were both brand new too. You were saying?
  2. Wow, lots of cool cars!
  3. It's nice to read an article that doesn't have anti-Detroit bias for once. Thanks for posting.
  4. The GTO R was so much better-looking, but I don't care too much.

Happy Bday! We have a Smokey Bones here, it's pretty good.
  6. I'm not sure there's that big of a market for these monsters. The Mega Cab doesn't seem to be making much noise in the market, and I see no reason why this will be any different. The rear seats in crew cabs are pretty comfortable for most adults anyways.
  7. The RS4 handles better than the current M3 from what I've read. There's no way the IS-F is going to outhandle the M3. And the IS-F's weight distribution probably won't be that much better. The IS350 is at 52/48, and the front end is only going to take more of the weight when they drop in the bigger engine. It's quite possible that the IS will have about 55/45 or 56/44 weight distribution... not that much better.
  8. That looks pretty good, but I want to see what it looks like when it's not an inch off the ground and with all the concept's details. Look at the G6 concept vs. the real thing to see what I mean.
  9. I like Detla Force's suggestions. I had to drive an old Intrepid one day at work and I didn't know if I was going to make it back it felt so poorly assembled. An Alero is tiny compared to an 88, but a W-Body would probably be roomy enough. An early 00's Intrigue, Regal GS, or GP GTP would be a better choice than the Intrepid, and more fun to drive, I think.
  10. There's no way the IS-F will handle better than the M3 or RS4. If it does, I'll eat some crow. The CTS-V and C55 AMG are going to have over 500HP, so I see no reason why they won't be faster. Mercedes has not been known for having the best-handling cars, but I'm confident the CTS-V will handle at least as well as the IS-F, considering how well the current car handles.
  11. Ok, that makes more sense. I think they should have just named it F1 then, but maybe F1 wouldn't let them.
  12. Good luck. Can you get a manual with the 5.3?
  13. FAST makes performance intakes for LSx engines: Now we have the Lexus Fast line. Seriously, "Lexus Performance Group" sounds professional and upscale. "Fast" sounds like a tuner or something, and I guess it's technically a tuner model, but it would be more fitting of Scion.
  14. Those don't look like very good deals. Check bestbuy.com... a Canon 5MP 4x optical zoom Powershot is $142. A 6MP version is $190. Your camera is 5.3MP and 8x optical zoom... if you want the zoom that bad then there is an Olympus on bestbuy.com for $270 with 7.1MP and 10x opitcal zoom. We have an older version of this and it's been great. I didn't see any reasonably-priced Nikons or Canon's with 8x or more zoom.
  15. I really could care less about the list. The SRX has won what, 3 years in a row? Look at how that's doing.
  16. The M3 and RS4 will be better if you're looking for something small and the CTS-V and C55 AMG will be better if you want something more midsized (though the C is still tall). F is a dumb name. Who names there car the IS Fast? V-Series stands denotes the Vx engine. M stands for Motorsport, AMG has some significance to the original people who started it, I'm not sure if RS stands for anything though. But picking F for Fast is one of the dumbest things I've heard. It's worse than SHAWD. If nothing else, LPG, Lexus Performance Group or something similar would have sounded better and had a reasonable meaning.
  17. They look alright, but the Nomad looks better-executed than both (not the front though). I would have liked to see something more like the coupe concept though, and it's sort of dumb that all it does is add a top onto the top of the trunklid.
  18. Where? The only thing they could complain about is the lack of leather on the center stack and dash that Lutz said would be there.
  19. Who cares, it's Edmunds. That said, it's all about personal opinion and I can see why some people would pick the other five over the Cobalt. I think BV summed it up pretty well. What's with the ridiculously slow acceleration times? Those times look like the standard models' times, not the sport models'.
  20. Yeah, and the Pilot is sure to be superior
  21. Well it helps that I'm not the primary driver, but it also helps that we have fleet insurance.
  22. We have "fleet" insurance (5 cars) so our insurance isn't bad at all. I think the GTO only costs $700/year for full coverage.
  23. I don't think Florida would have a chance. Look at all the teams they barely beat. Michigan lost by 3 points in one game on the road. I reckon they would have one at a neutral site.
  24. Not necessarily. All the fleet sales do is make the cost per part for Toyota less, making the profit for retail sales more. Since there are so many more retail than fleet sales, the extra profit made on the retail sales probably makes the profit margin more as there isn't that great of a percentage of fleet sales.
  25. And how about the average transaction price? I'm guessing the S-Class was about $20k more per unit. Sales figures don't necessarily tell the story of how good a vehicle is. The Camry would not be the best-selling vehicle if sales were based upon what vehicle is the best.
